So this series now features THREE different CG rendered Valks as well as the Koenig Monster. Mr Kawamori is truly spoiling us. I would still love to see a CG rendered YF-19 though. Taksraven

Not really. Go to the "Who is going ti die in Macross Frontier" thread and you will see that plenty of us were picking up on the vibe that ONE of the characters was going to die in this episode. The unexpected part was who died, we didn't really pick that. Taksraven

Last batch. "IF I'M ANIMATED ANY UGLIER THEY WILL ARREST ME FOR BEING A VAJRA!!!!!" Beautiful shot of the bridge. I love the way that you can see all the different screens on the inside. Also love the destroids on either side of the head. Taksraven

Notice the ghostly outline of where the rest of the planet used to be...... I think that this was the THIRD time that this shot was reused! ALLTOGETHER NOW - "DAEDELUS PUNCH!!!!" And the first prize for weirdest face on a Valk goes too.......(at least it does not have a mouth, eh?) A beautiful shot and effect. Full marks for that one. "EXPLOSIVE DECOMPRESSION REALLY SUCKS!!!!!!!" (Actually I like the way it looked like the bodies being sucked out into space were rendered in 3D. A good and terrifying effect as they tumbled out of the ship.) Taksraven

I've said it before and I will say it again, the Vajra in the first three episodes were really tough and dangerous, since then, you just have to sneeze at them to make them blow up. (I will admit, the one in episode 9 was pretty tough, even surviving a knife attack from Alto, but then he chickened out the first chance he had.) But that has been widely suspected anyway. I think that Ozma has been roughly getting as much screen time as Roy in the original SDF:M series (probably a little bit more actually), so I still think that he will suffer the same fate as Roy. Not killed outright but mortally wounded in his cockpit. Taksraven

Ok then. To be honest, I am not much of a general anime fan outside of Macross and a few other shows such as Evangelion, Yamato, Gatchaman, etc.....mainly stuff I grew up with, (The original Kimba series was the first anime that I saw, even though I did not know that it was overdubbed Japanese stuff at the time. Ignorant 5 year olds, eh.) so to me a lot of Anime forums and sites are pretty useless. Thats why I love this site, specialising in the Anime that I consider to be the best. Even though I "joined" earlier this year, I discovered this site and started lurking when Macross Zero was going and have always liked to come back. I know that Robotech is not "real" anime, and the forums there were quite disturbing. At the end of the day you have to feel sorry for a lot of the Robotech fanatics (and by that I mean those who try to say that macross is crap, there are some). Taksraven

So its a suicide bomb. It had its own stealth mode to hide as a rock and the detonator was quite possibly a 'puppet' on remote control anyway. I think its pretty weaponised, and I think that the manual detonation feature was just to make sure that it went off at *exactly* the right time. Taksraven

No, I haven't seen Aquarion so its useless to me for comparison purposes. I will admit that the further this series goes the more Ranka is reminding me of Rei Ayanami, a victim of events completely beyond her control. I don't think that Ranka will die but I wouldn't rule out the possibility of her "rising to a higher plane", maybe in the same way as Sara and Shin. Taksraven

I don't think that they would be "brave" enough to kill Ranka. I wouldn't like to see that happen anyway and I doubt others would. Taksraven
