JSI 1/18 Scale F-14 Tomcat Announced
Warmaker replied to Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The dark grey for the upper portion of the paint scheme is really dark. But it's a 1/18 Tomcat. So I may likely bite. It's going to be huge. And here I thought my 1/32 model was immense -
Oh boy... bad bowel movement underway.

Terminator Salvation, colon, Really Long Movie Title
Warmaker replied to bsu legato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The funny thing with Deep Impact & Armageddon was that they were both released in the same season of the same year -
About time FM started putting more into the 1/48 lineup. And the Snowspeeder would be a fine addition. If FM does a Prequel starfighter next, I hope it's the ARC-170. Personally, I'd love to see the warships put into model kit form with today's technology. The ISD screams for it.

I think it's sad and horrifying that this movie even got to #8. -
Terminator Salvation, colon, Really Long Movie Title

I've been staring at this and how cool it would look in my place. But yeah... -
*crosses fingers* Also, I couldn't believe I liked a Brian Austin Green character. Derek Reese was a great idea for the show

Terminator Salvation, colon, Really Long Movie Title
Warmaker replied to bsu legato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Semi off-topic... after watching T3 again, I have to say there is one saving grace with that movie: The ending. No happy ending like T2, but the inescapable events that will occur that makes everything possible. -
Oh, don't get me wrong. I followed the X-Files RELIGIOUSLY But consider how many sci-fi shows have crossed Fox's path, and how they ended up. The X-Files was (and I still believe, IS) the only sci-fi show Fox took great care of.

I can't help it if the rest of the console gaming crowd here in the USA is only playing Guitar Hero or something like that As for Front Mission, I heard FM5, released only in Japan so far, is by far the best in the series. But we'll never see a USA release of that, partly because of FM4's failure here. As for VC, the only way I found out about it was from a rather excellent review on Gamespy, which made me dig around more only to find out more reviewers saying the same about VC. There were 3 reasons why I bought my PS3: Blu-Ray, VC, and SF4.

The USAF may not like C-17's, but the military needs them if they want to maintain their hold on MAC. Their airlift capability is aging badly, just like their air tanker assets. But these aspects of aviation aren't as glorious and sexy as fighters, so these have been on the backburner since at least the 90s.

Shirley Manson's a regular on the show as a T-1000 Terminator. We do get a treat of her every now and then killing hapless humans Her last one in the desert was a nice massacre. As for the show getting the axe, I hope someone else that likes sci-fi shows picks it up. Fox has been horrible for sci-fi, and the 2 shows coming immediately to mind suffering there are Space: Above and Beyond and now TSCC.

Valkyria Chronicles is great, the first PS3 game I bought for my new system. Too bad it's doing badly here in the USA, that'd be problems in the future for sequel releases here. The same thing with what happened with Front Mission games.

I don't think it would be the 2nd one. A-6 Intruder EA-6B Prowler F-8 Crusader A-7 Corsair II I think it would be "F-32 Super Sailor Sucker V" Funny thing to consider is that I don't really recall F-14's having a rep for sucking in Flight Deck crewmen. A bit surprising considering how big the intakes and engines are.

Dragon Ball movie rescued from dev hell?
Warmaker replied to bsu legato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I still remember in the 90s my friend dragging me to see Mortal Kombat in theaters. It was bad, but considering its video game to movie predecessors, it was alright. The sequel however from what I heard was absolutely atrocious. My roommate when I was in Okinawa saw it. I laughed at him for doing so I also recall in 1998 during one summer day that my friend and I were debating which movie to watch on this certain weekend. Godzilla (Americanized one with Matthew Broderick) or Deep Impact. We ended up watching both -
Just watched the most recent episode online. All I have to say is:

Dragon Ball movie rescued from dev hell?
Warmaker replied to bsu legato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Officer: "Sir, it is Executive Producer Tim Van Rellin." Adolf Hitler: "Is that so? Executive Producer Tim Van Rellin... Cut his f**king balls off!." Officer: "You don't think that's a little extreme?" Adolf Hitler: "IT'S HIS OR YOURS!!!!" **Officer leaves to do his duty** -
Glad I held off on this thing. A shame, since I was in the mood for an Ace Combat type of game.

Medicom/Hot Toys and all 1/6 scale figures
Warmaker replied to EXO's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I've been a sucker since a kid for the Troopers in Star Wars, esp. in the OT. I've never owned a Sideshow figure before. All the figs I have are Medicom / RAH. These would be the first I'd get from that Company. I do have the RAH Sandtrooper, Stormtrooper, and Ep.III Clonetrooper. Poseability is pretty decent, especially with the Stormtroopers. My complaints about them are the company's lackluster amount of accessories, namely weapons you see them use in the movies. The Sandtrooper does have the backpack and weathering so it stands apart from my other Troopers. Would kill to get a Biker Scout / Scout Trooper and Snowtrooper though As far as Kotobukiya / ArtFX Star Wars figures, I do have a number of them. Sandtrooper (there are 2 others in this series from years ago. Also something to look out for: Kotobukiya's "attempts" at weathering were absolutely HORRIBLE. To depict dirt on the Sandtroopers' armors, they basically had some idiot get a cotton ball, dip it in paint, and dab the figures here and there. I mean, Jesus H. Christ, I did that when I was 5 years old or something! I had the 3 Sandtroopers from years ago, and they all had this p**s poor "weathering." I got to some model building forum and got some advice on redoing the scheme. It's tricky since the figures are all vinyl and my normal stripping techniques would melt it. Took alot of work to get it looking good, and now they're sitting on display back home ) Scout Trooper Clonetrooper Ep.III (A nice once, IMO, and I do like the color scheme for the 501st) TIE Fighter Pilot (I was a hardcore Imperial player in the X-Wing series of games on the PC during the 90s. This was a given) Snowtrooper Cmdr Bly (Another nice figure, IMO) My ArtFx Star Wars wishlist? Cmdr Gree (with head still on, of course) Cmdr Cody ARC Trooper Scout Trooper (in another pose other than the current crouch down. Better yet, on a Speeder bike!) Edit to add: Kotobukiya's weathering attempts as I mentioned earlier were atrocious. But after that dismal Sandtrooper release, I have never seen that problem resurface since then. Hopefully someone got their a** handed to them for that. -
Medicom/Hot Toys and all 1/6 scale figures

2 things coming up on my plate from Star Wars! 212th Attack Btln Clonetrooper http://www.kidnemo.com/index.php?main_page...roducts_id=4711 Nice bonus is the full sized rifle. If this was the blue 501st Legion CT, I'd be even more ecstatic. But this'll do. Sandtrooper http://www.kidnemo.com/index.php?main_page...roducts_id=6089 Not only do we get a Sandtrooper, but he's got a weapon only seen for a few seconds in ANH. Real unique, IMO, since no company has ever produced a Sandtrooper with this weapon, 12 inch figure or not. I never had any doubt who would win -
This trailer rules for all kinds of different reasons. Pure gold.
