I just realized something about the new GG one that just showed up, the thing after saying ep. 20 says "[F6U9C7K]." I think anyone who looks at that closely can see what it is saying. There is something fishy about this, I have a feeling if you download that you won't get ep.20 of MacF subbed for some reason.

A new GG thing was just posted on Tokyo Tosho that can be downloaded, but it doesn't appear if you search for Macross Frontier. What is weird about this one is if you click the website link it goes to a youtube video instead of GG's site. Also GG's site still doesn't have the script up. Something strange is going on, I sense a disturbance in the Force.

It seems perhaps GG put it out then took it down to fix something maybe. Just a guess, but their site has no indication of it and there is no script yet. They release the episode and the script at the same time.

That's weird, wonder why it didn't work.. well ep.1 has been causing lots of trouble for me lately. Hmm.. ok, deal then. I agree they probably won't be in the same scene. And they better have a scene with Battle Frontier firing the cannon in battle mode, though I don't see why they wouldn't so I'm not worried. We know there will be a transformation for sure, the opening has promised it. Though I suppose that it wouldn't be the first time an opening had a scene that was never in the show (looking at you SDF Macross!).

Also, I have figured out what to do since I often see the episodes after most people (especially in the next weeks I will). I call dibs on when the Battle Frontier first transforms and when it first fires the Macross cannon in Battle mode. You all know we are going to see them at some point, though it may not be until the last episode, but I still call them!

Not to desensitize any of this, since I too miss Michael and thought his death was heroic, but technically it is Michael Blanc, not Braun, this was confirmed in ep.9. Just figured if we're paying tribute we should have his name right.

I didn't shed any tears over Michael's death but I was saddened by it because he was a good character. I always identified with the Max type character the most (which was just Max in Macross and Macross 7). Hey Shaka Z, where did you get your avatar? I like it, the YF-19 almost looks photo realistic. Probably because of the small size.

Looks like I was called out on the call out. I bow to Shaka Z to knowing more about the effects of vacuum on a human body than I. I really never researched it that much except what I knew for sure and common myth. Still though, I rest my case from earlier. I think think we need to speak of it anymore. Anyway, great episode. They might as well hand get out of death free cards to everyone. Ozma got one, perhaps a special sale was going on then and he got freebies for the entire squad. Brera wouldn't care to save Michael, man I'd be surprised if Brera even knew the guys name. *Brera out in VF-27 seeings Michael's body fly out of a hold in the side of the ship* Brera to himself: "Hey... I know that guy. He is one of Ranka's friends... they all look the same. One of those SMS retards. I don't remember which one he is, nor do I care. He could die out in space like that, maybe for Ranka's sake I could save him, but Grace has me on a tight leash right now... Well let's see if he can be saved and then I'll decide." *Brera goes in for a closer look* Brera: "Ooh... no flight suit so the pressure is all gone, not a helmet or oxygen pack so he is suffocating... oh that is a big hole in his chest! Let's see, exploding lungs from pressure, blood boiling, freezing, giant hole in his chest with massive blood loss before he was in space... yep he's dead... definitely dead. I'd better move on...." It's not meant to sound pessimistic. It is realistic. I truly hope he does not survive, otherwise the heroic sacrifice and the entire scene is just ruined and means nothing. Besides what could Brera do to save him at that point anyway even if he really cared as much as the unlikely scenario I depicted above?

I have been theorizing lately that maybe for gerwalk the throttle stick rotates for that change and then flips straight up for battroid. Although I admit the left or right motion for gerwalk is just as good.

Sorry man, I have to call you on that. While that bit about freezing someone and defrosting may be possible with the medical technology in 2059 there are a few things in this scenario that inhibit the idea. First thing is the brain needs oxygen constantly and if all the blood pathways are frozen, despite lack of air, then it doesn't get it. The ideas behind cryogenics state we'd need to replace blood with liquid oxygen while a body is frozen to keep the brain going while the heart isn't pumping. The biggest is he was sucked into a vacuum. It isn't just that space has no air to breathe and it is cold, it has no air pressure. Long before his body could completely freeze his internal pressure will push outward with nothing to cancel it out. Due to decreased pressure his blood will begin to boil, and his the remnant air in his lungs will expand until the lungs themselves explode. By the time his body has frozen his lungs will have popped, his blood will have expanded through his skin and his open wound and he would not have any oxygen going to his brain so it would have shut down. Sorry guys, the man is dead. But it was one of the most heroic deaths I've ever seen. On a note about the cyborg people, if they found his body and augmented it as a cyborg, he would have been brain dead so any personality they make for the new robot body Michael would not be the man that sacrificed himself to save Klan, it would just be a programmed identity using a recycled body.

That image could have happened off camera easily. It isn't being negative, at least not for me. I think it would put the character and the plot to shame is . So in a way I am thinking positively. You need to be able to accept it and know that .

Me too, if not just because I love that color on a Valk, I want to honor the pilot of it for all time for one of the most heroic scenes in the entire show.

I never heard it in those words. I have read though that the VF-25 does surpass the VF-19's performance. However that scene in Plus really seems like Guld is giving it everything that can can possibly give.

I just remembered and want to note that this episode did end on a sad note, but nothing was resolved. Next episode will be directly continuing and will most likely have a lot of action, as well as

Damn, I just saw the episode so I didn't know what you meant by that. Now I wish I could have seen it earlier so I could have called that. Oh well, there are plenty of other things. Actually I don't know if there is anything I really need from this episode. This episode left off on a sad note but the conflict and all isn't over. Next week with have a plethora of things to see as well.

Ok, I watched it and I read everything in this forum. ..... Damn.... That was the best episode in the entire show, and there was barely any mecha action from the main characters.. but that doesn't matter. And that's all I'm going to say about that. Truly an amazing scene, my hat is off to you Mr. Kawamori. Additional Note:

I'd like to know what is up with the Flower Girl in Mac7. I am only up to ep.19 of the show (so says my sig) but I really want to know what is the story with here and her apparent lover of Basara. Does the show gives her some background eventually or is it a big mystery?
