The VF-171EX was a version of the VF-171 retrofitted to work with Ex-Gear (sort of a stop gap before Frontier NUNS could mass produce VF-25s for themselves in general). I am unsure if other VF-171s, including those in Delta, had Ex-Gear retrofits or not. -
Little show off pic of first display. Sadly I just moved and my 31F and YF-30 are in storage or I'd get a group pic together. Happy birthday (it's later this week) to me.

Wow, Spanner got his shipment confirmation after me and got his delivery sooner, lol. Different country of course. I am hoping for mine today.

Looks like my 31A from CDJ is stuck at customs over the weekend but I know it's in America at least so I'll see it this week. Monday if I'm lucky, but I'll hope for Tuesday just in case lol.

Been a couple days since there was an update on package tracking for me. Either it hasn't left Japan or they just aren't bothering to update now. Hopefully it gets here soon.

CDJ seems to be processing shipments for most now, though some people are getting their shipment confirmations later than others. I got it earlier than Spanner for example. Maybe that is because he is in Austrailia? Who knows, but at least it's going. There is one who got a cancellation from CDJ though, but seems to be in the minority thankfully (no offense to that guy, sorry bro).

I'm really glad to see people are getting their CDJ shipping notices. I also got my shipment confirmation message today. I wish I knew why they were keeping me informed faster than others like Spanner, but at least they are moving for others too now. I don't know if I'll avoid any particular sellar in the future though... I figure get what to can from wherever.... but this is likely my last VF-31 purchase. I never intended to get a lot (I have a 31F, a 262, and now this 31A). I might be tempted by 31A super parts, don't care about armored personally. We'll see. I skipped on 31F supers due to price point so I don't know. Plus the 31 is beautiful without supers, and with it is mostly the battroid I like.

I wish I had an explanation why things are looking more positive for me with CDJ than most others, but I have no idea. I really do hope other CDJ orderers get there stuff as well.

I got a message from CDJ confirming my approval of the new shipping price and saying it would be in shipping process tomorrow and they'd send a shipment confirmation once that happened. I hope that other CDJ orders from people here also get shipped as well.. Seems there is evidence there might be some scarcity.

Might be because I ordered EMS.. the first estimate for SAL or what have you may have been correct if you did that.

Yeah no official shipping notice, but my order status says in shipping process now since that shipping charge update. Maybe by tomorrow morning I'll see something (I know it is Monday there already, but still.. I can dream).

Yeah Galaxy essentially developed the VF-27 illegally in both versions of the show. -
Well I shelled out for EMS so my shipping is 5200 yen. Not ideal but I won't have to wait I guess.

I only got the email about the new shipping charge and that once they got my approval it'd begin the shipping process. I have not received a shipping confirmation yet, but I expect it soon.

Just got an email from CDJ saying my order is entering shipping phase. They need me to approve the updated shipping charge though. It was roughly 2000 yen more I think, I didn't calculate it exactly, I knew I'd still pay it. Anyway, watch out for that fellow CDJ buyers. Looks like it's finally happening. EDIT: I just checked, they asked for an extra 1500 yen for shipping than the original estimate. They say it is due to new info on package weight but I also changed shipping address so that might affect it.

Well that is certainly curious. I only have one 31A on order at CDJ but like Spanner and Mommar I have not seen any movement on it. It is strange only one person here seems to have had that happen yet the company claims it simply doesn't have them yet. Is it possible they are mistaken as to the company as mcfly was? Not that it matters in the long run I suppose. I just hope we get them before April lol.

For what it is worth for other CDJ people, I also ordered mine from CDJ and am waiting. I've been less concerned cause I've spent this whole week moving (I have the order set to ship to the new address already), so I've had a lot to distract me. CDJ never explicitly said it's ship on the 15th though... maybe it is like NY and going out on the 24th? I guess we'll only know when we know. I get the feeling that one person who said they got a CDJ shipping notice (only one person out of many who haven't) may have been wrong somehow, but no way to be sure unless they speak up again. Either way, it's a waiting game.

No, and it's pretty much an impossibility due to the usual culprits that keep most of Macross out of America. (Not for nothing, but even if HG wanted to do it, which 20 years later there is no reason they'd bother now, licensing all the music could be a nightmare of expenses)

Noobish question probably, but I know some people have done a little bit of translating of First in it's original form but never getting all of it before this refresh. Any idea if anyone is going to try to do that again now (or even if the dialogue is unchanged enough that older scanlations could be adapted)? I just want more than a picture book out of it I guess, lol.

That is what surprises you? That's not even... well.. all that new. This isn't exactly a show for little kids. Besides didn't JUNNA write that song? I think I heard somewhere that was the case. -
A lot simpler than I expected... so we sorta have a version of it today.. but that method of creation seems pretty hard to do on mass scales.. at least not cheaply.. so probably Overtechnology made it easier to make in large amounts in universe. Still, pretty neat.

Though ECA is definitely a mystery I'd also like to see answered, I also generally just want to know what exactly hypercarbon is. Is it a natural variation of carbon, does it get created. It's it just denser carbon structures (like a form of diamond armor) or something else? I don't suspect there is a full answer yet somehow.

I'll have to wait to get hands on with my 31A since I'm moving right when it ships, but at least I have something to look forward to after my ~2300 mile road trip.
