  1. Through out the years I could wee that Macross as a brand name is getting less and less momentum (at least the area I live in). Hasegawa models and Yamato toys had done a great job in bring back the momentum but it did not last for too long. The number of Macross fans in my area is shrinking since the last three years. Many of them has either switch to Gundam, Transformers or other anime. Many of the old members of Macrossworld has left the forum as well. As a Macross fan, it sadden me. I still remember the good old day where updates in Macrossworld were so frequent and there were news on Macross almost on regular basis. Even though Macross Zero series has done some good jobs, but the period spread between each series has taken its toll. I don't know what the Japanese are thinking. One of the market rules is not to let your target customers/audiences to wait for too long. One must always keep it going when the target customers' interest is high. Another example is Supersylph Yukikaze. At the begining, many people were interested in it and the hope was high. For now, many may still remember it, but the interest may not as high anymore. If the interest goes down, it will affect sales, the next better continuous project (if there is) would be even harder to come by. In contrast, Gundam and Transformers are doing pretty well. They have regular series and new toy/model designs to keep the interest. They also diversified their product design to capture younger customers while retaining the now matured customers. Alternators/Binaltech from Transformers are a successful example to keep the old fans who are now more matured. I hope Macross would have similar strategy to keep the fans' interest. Longer series and/or more variety of products (not just re-coloring) are some of the keys to build up and keep the fans' interest. This is just my little opinion...
  2. It is a photoshop work. I've got this EF 2000 from a web site long ago. The two seats are real, the rest are photoshop work. It just that sometimes when I feel bored I start practising my photoshop. Yeah, at that angle the canard is going to hit the ground when landing. But hey! it's just a fantasy. IMHO EF 2000 with such wings and carnard probably won't fly at all
  3. Firefox

    VF-23

My guess is the tail fin is from Su-27 Flanker
  4. Firefox

    VF-23

Based on pics from a korean magazine and internet and of course my wild designation Sorry for the size though...
  5. Storage space is one hell of the problem as well. Yes, it's also lack the TV series to keep the heat on. Macross Zero series is far too short and the each episode takes too long to come out. Sometimes, I have to re-watch the previous episode in order to catch up the story line. Bad thing, just like Yukikaze.
  6. Starscream is far better in both modes. I just got one
  7. Yeah, I'm in the Gen X category, I'm trying to sell away most of my Macross collections and other (aircraft/Macross models, Transformers, some anime/sci-fi DVDs). The only Macross items I'll keep is the 1/48, the 1/60 VF-1J and some Hasegawa models. Like the rest, I'm in 30, and need cash to many things. The other half of mine just raised the concern of when could we get a house. I've got to give in. Like many Xer, we born in a world where elders told you to get good grade and land on a good job. With the job security gone, I'll have to watch my bottom line carefully. Macross is my all times favourite since 80's but when reality sets in, something has to give way

    2 seater 1/48s

I would say it is technical possible for VT-1 and VE-1 but not so for VF-1D (the one I like most) because of its second seats; being 'push back' in to the heat shield storage and also heat shield is longer
  9. I'm late Frankly the tone down scheme is pretty dull. The skull in the tail fins look like it is simply done. Here is my modification. Just tell the whoever admiral that the plane has been re-painted.
  10. Thank you very much!
  11. Hi Anasazi37 I found only 1/72 scale. Besides, they don't have the 2500th Valkyrie logo, just ther sponsors' logos. I would need the 2500th Valkyrie logo, the sponosrs' logos and the U.N.SPACY words, the rest I could take care. If you could make a 1/48 one, it would be a very big help. Thanks!
  12. I like Meister (or should I say Jazz?) better, especially the white one
  13. Thanks! It's OK for one or two month. I'm currently masking the VF-1 and start spraying. To my speed I think I need at least two month to complete the spraying. Please let me know if you've done it and the cost($) of it
  14. Here is the 2500th Valkyrie logo
  15. Oh! I don't mean the entire thing. I mean the 2500th Valkyrie at the canopy and the companies logos on the tail fins. I attached here are those logos. Any chance of making them?
  16. Does anyone knows or has the VF-XX transforming sequence? If known or had it, would you share? Thanks!
  17. Hi Did anyone make it or willing to make custom decal for VF-1 2500th Anniversary, like the picture shown below?
  18. He's so cute
  19. The sound and the quality of the picture are good but the whole show is shaky. Is it any problem with the encoding or is it originally like that?
  20. Yup! I could see people are losing interest in the 1/48 VF-1 line. In my place some shops are selling them more than 25% cheaper than they were first launched, and there are no taker! I really hope Yamatoo could make a 1/48 VF-0 or better SV-51
  21. Oh Yeah! That should be the way!
  22. I guess so...
  23. It's huge. I know
