Couldn't decide to pre-order it on NY or HLJ. They NY shows the EMS costs 2040yen. Similar weight and dimension item cost around than 1450yen (EMS) to ship from HLJ. Does anyone order MP-19 Smokescreen or similar from HLJ using EMS and care to let me know about the shipping cost?- 16711 replies

First time I see NY price is cheaper than HLJ. But it seems that NY generally charges more in shipping cost (EMS) than HLJ. Could anyone confirm this?- 16711 replies

I know what niche means. Macross toys may not be niche for now. But Arcadia had started to place the price appealing to a much smaller group. You could call the group as Macross die hard fan. Only die hard will continue to pay whatever exorcibant prices Arcadia set and soon only the die hard will follow the toys. While Macross itself may not be niche, at least Arcadia's Macross toy will be. You just have not seen far enough to see the niche is coming. Just hope Bandai won't follow this trend too soon.

The Yamato and Bandai products are not for niche market. But judging on the pricing trend from Arcadia, Macross toys are fast becoming niche product. May be some people would prefer them to be niche so that they could show off to those who couldn't afford. I would hope them to be more affordable so that Macross could reach more people. If Macross become a niche market, it will only shrink. For now, I applaud Bandai's prices as it is good toy, playable at a reasonable price.

I generally believe that the prices are going out of reach for more and more fans. I don't think the previous prices from Yamato were cheap, I think they were pretty reasonable. The current prices from Arcadia are getting steeper as they know people are willing to pay more. How come the same 1/60 VF-1S from two different companies could have the price varies so much? The current prices of the 1/60 VF-1s are the same as the late 1/48 VF-1s. I guess it's all about willingness to pay. You are willing to pay arms and legs, they'll charge you arms and legs. Bandai prices are still reasonable. One thing I believe they do right is to limit the quantity produced. I know it's a pain when pre-order last only a few minutes and they become discontinued items. But this will keep the value of the toys and they don't have to reduce the price to clear over stock. With that said, I think I could only afford another one last from Arcadia; looking at their current pricing. I hope they'll re-make the VF-0S. But I cancelled the YF-19 for YF-30, partly because I could only choose one and mainly I don't think YF-19 worth its price. Yes, it's a great toy, but it's not a totally new toy, many parts are re-usable from VF-19. But again, it's about the willingness to pay.

This is a must have. I cancelled the YF-19 for this one.

Got mine today. Never like YF-29. But I think the scheme nails it. It fits this mould perfectly except for the black heart on the shield. Now I'm eager for YF-30

Hi MacrossJunkie, How did you remove the original paint on the canopy?
-
Thanks guys. I'll wait for Acadia's renewal. Finger crossed...

I've heard that the second release of the VF-0A has all the fixes, but surprise that VF-0S fetch such a high price. I guess a lot of people are still interested in VF-0S. With this, Arcadia will probably do something like the YF-19 and probably similarly high price too...

I also noticed that the Star Crusade battroid mode looks a bit Orguss-ish

Thanks for all the details. I'll probably wait then.

I'm looking at a VF-0S with ghost bundle. Does this one come with all the fixes (shoulder, rigidity, etc.) or not at all? The asking price is 33,000 yen. Is it reasonable? I've heard that Arcadia may come out with another VF-0. Does anyone if it's true and its time line?

Not sure if this is the right place. Dug through my computer and found these interesting Macross items. I think the scrambled Valkyrie is a better remake of VF-1 than the VF-0. One could see hints of VF-11 too in the scrambled Valkyrie design. I don't know much about the Star Crusade. Anyone have more info on these two, especially line art or pics, could you share?

Not sure if this has been posted before. Looks like the guy mod the model to become YF-24. Very nicely done too: http://www1.cablenet.ne.jp/shima-m/macros2.htm

April 2014 is good. Is it confirm? Any pre-order opened? I'm passing YF-19 for this. I prefer thing that could at least transform a few times and not worrying too much.

Thanks Lancalot. I'm planning a YF-25 too, but I'm using the VF-25F. Still can't decide if I want an orange fighter though...

Has anyone disassemble the entire vf-25? I'm thinking of repainting mine but can't find the location of all screws

Anyone know if there is any chance of Bandai making a DX YF-25 Prophecy?

Any information on the release date?

It's such a nice looking aircraft that I wonder why Hasegawa didn't notice it

VF-2SS VF-2JA VF-2JA would be a technical challenge. If they could make one, it's great.

Robotech x Voltron crossover... what the...I don't even...
Firefox replied to Tochiro's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
HG should just let the Robotech dies and come something more creative for themselves. Squeezing the old dead cow won't give you any more milk. They are just sad... -
Anyone has any idea when is this going to be released?
