  1. must get this one. Hopefully I could get one in time. I would drop YF-30 for this.
  2. You still could get it from Mandrake at a cheaper price than ebay. I was surprising pleased to find out the fighter mode is very nice and regretted not having it when first launched VF-1J Max: http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-1213131.html
  3. AFAIK, no official side profile pic shown before. But a skinny legs will tend to give a slender side profile for YF-21, seeing how the YF-21 stores its legs in fighter mode.
  4. It doesn't look too bad for YF-21 to have a`9's cockpit huh?
  5. That gives a slender side profile in fighter mode. So far, VF-1 Hi-Metal has the best side profile, it would be great if YF-21 made to production.
  6. Hasegawa really know how to entice people with its box art
  7. the Yf-21 that not materialised
  8. Couldn't agree more. Bandai should have at least upscale it to 1/72 or even 1/60 and throw in the built-in wheels and heat shields. That would be a perfect VF-1 toy
  9. The 0D CAD looks great. Hopefully 0S is in the pipeline
  10. For those who are interested in DYRL VF-1A Kakikazi http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-1458796.html 6000yen, as cheap as one could get for now
  11. Finally got my first Hi-Metal. The VF-1J Hikaru is really small. But given the scale, Bandai had done a great job. I realize the box description outside are all in English, may be Bandai intended this will sell well in overseas? Unfortunately they did not release the VF-1D. I guess that will sell better than other VF-1s.
  12. Would Arcadia consider VF-0A/S a new mould? If that's the case, we will only see that in 2016. Eager to see how the VF-0D looks like. Anyone notice that the VF-0D/B in VF-0 Master File has a different canopy than the anime?
  13. As of now, HK Collectible is having a 55% discount on VF-17S. The price is at HKD1119 (roughly USD145). I think this is as best as you could get. VF-17 generally doesn't fetch good price despite their original high price tag. VF-19F gets a higher price now.
  14. Originally thought of Israel jet scheme, but using a can spray proved too hard. Instead, re-spray it to this. The logo and NUNS text are courtesy from my Bandai YF-25. Hopefully I could really finish building this one.
  15. My experience with them are so far so good. They seems to be able to get stock while the others show discontinued. Mind you, NY has a higher shipping charges than HLJ (using EMS), but they process their orders real quick.
  16. I missed out the Hi-Metal. Looking at it now, they do have the best side profile in jet mode and the super articulation in battroid mode is a plus. Agreed that the price is way too high for such a small toy that has not all the bell and whistle attached to it. I saw one 1J Hikaru on Mandrake, selling at the same price of the 1/48 1J Hikaru. Needless to say, I pick the 1/48. If the price could hover around 5000 to 6000 yen, I would consider.
  17. No one know for sure but based on the pic, it seems like a 0D. Graham once said that Yamato will likely to make a 0D. May be it's already in the pipeline when Yamato folded and now Arcadia takes over. If it is, I'm more thrilled that the chances of getting V.2 0S is now getting higher
  18. I believe Arcadia will charge circa 30,000 yen for this, judging from the YF-19 pricing. Seller will always charge what the market is willing to pay. Spare me with the cost of making new design and mold. With the current CAD and 3D printing technology, how expensive would it to create mold and stuff? We can see some of the talented members here using the similar technology to create custom part. VF-4G is to test the market on willingness to pay. Whoever then in Yamato see this and now under all new company, they could rightfully jack the prices up without the need to explanation and justification to the market. I don't think Arcadia will set the price based on MW member's reaction, but I think they will use it as a gauge and/or reference on the emotional side of the pricing. Since there are many here thinks that $300 is reasonable, then it is only reasonable for them to charge that much. For those that think Arcadia is overcharging, at least we still have Bandai, for now. I won't call those who thinks Arcadia is overcharging are not able to afford. They just don't agree with the value of the toy. As for those who think it worth the price, well, it's your money. jvmacross: ....how soon Arcadia will go out of business? The profit figure will decide. There are company choose the short term gain over the long term profit. Having said that, Arcadia can fold up like Yamato and a new one will take over with a much higher price, until the few is not few enough to sustain the toys, perhaps. But then, hopefully we still have Bandai and other new one to continue Macross toys with pricing that appeal to larger Macross fan base.
  19. Not sure if I would go to cinema for this one. The 3rd one was pretty bad. May be I'll just wait for Blu-Ray/DVD release and until they fall under $10...
  20. 1.VF-0S 2.VF-25A 3.YF-30 If so called alternate time line is included: 1.VF-2SS 2.VF-2JA 3.VF-0S
  21. Anyone know why Yamato folded? They have established quite an impressive line of Macross toys and overseas sales didn't seem weak. Poor Japan inland sales? Or some other reason?
  22. Finger crossed it's 0D. That means it'll be a good chance for 0S in near future.
  23. About time for this news! I'm sure it's 0D. I'm not a fan of 0D but I'll see the final product. But if it's 0S, I'll buy for sure.
  24. I don't know. It all depends on the price. I won't pay hefty price knowing the design defect of the current VF-0. If Arcadia is going to come out the improved version of VF-0S, I don't mind paying more. I guess the VF-0S will be the last toy I bought from Arcadia, unless they make VF-2SS and VF-2JA from Macross 2.
  25. I just hope they could revive the 1/48 VF-25 project.
