The Megazone 23 Garland By Yamato Thread
Tober replied to Renato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Is this true or just speculation? Was the garland from Megazone III planned? Were there any prototype pics etc?- 1056 replies

True, but there's still a good heads difference. I don't know what ruskiiVFaussie is planning tho...

The EX-GEAR seems to be about 1:12. Sits between the MegaHouse and Beagle scales. I only have a webcam available.

Me, last week. It arrived yesterday with their free EMS PayPal shipping deal. Nice toy, but I'm not totally impressed with the head sculpt - helmet will be staying on. ------------ So as this is part of BANDAI's Armor Plus line does anyone know if the upcoming Tekkaman Blade blade figure be of the same scale?

I was doing some Googling and stumbled upon this Mecha9 blog/site. There is a page fror the 1/1 helmet with some interesting info on it, but I don't know how accurate it is. And another page with more pics of the motorcycle helmet.

The Megazone 23 Garland By Yamato Thread
Tober replied to Renato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Cool, thanks RD Blade. So do I send an email asking about replacement parts for my Garland? Will I need to provide a US shipping address if I live outside of the USA? Or would I be better off contacting HLJ about it?- 1056 replies

HLJ.com has mandatory EMS shipping for most orders over 15000JPY. For really large items EMS can become cheaper than SAL anyway.

This just in: Sydney Transported to the Red Planet
Tober replied to Scream Man's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Was kinda weird waking up to the red planet outside. Looks pretty nice tho, shame about the pungent smell - like waking up in Melbourne... -
I'm assuming Exo's right in that it will be the 'regular crappy' version. I don't think they would go to the high expense of retooling the molds for minimal characters. Wholly crap indeed

I'm not sure if these were mentioned before, but BBTS.com is listing pre-orders for an 'Improved Version' of the MPC Maia Shadow Fighter as well as the 'Shadow Chronicles Movie Edition: Marcus Shadow Fighter MPC', both at $79.99 and due for release soon.

If the arrangement is like the relationship Hasbro has with the live action movies then HG would be licensing Robotech names and terms to a studio (eg Paramount) which would front the inventment for production. HG would then make money from licensing the Robotech name to toys and merchandising. If HG contribute mecha design or writing credits then they would also recieve licensing/royalties from that.
-
I think that was the point of Shadow Chronicles. They would have only had enough funding for that OVA rather than being able to finance a whole series or rehash an existing one. Sentinels and 3000 failed in early stages. Their real hope lies with the supposed live action movie - they would be hoping for a piece of the success that Transformers had.

HELP…! Look for some recommendations…
Tober replied to Renegade Zentradi's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Hi Renegade Zentradi, welcome to MW. Your Macross list doesn't mention 'Macross: Do You Remember Love?' or 'Macross Flash Back 2012'. The former is an OVA version of the origional Macross series, while 2012 is a tribute/conclusion of sorts. I would recommend watching them before tackling 'Macross 7'. 'Macross:DYRL?' may not be suitable for under 12s tho, best to watch it first maybe. Anything else I can think of has already been mentioned... well, except for the 'Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles' OVA. I'll let you guess why... -
It's a bit of a pity that there isn't alot more new artwork in there. But it's a well rounded book for the actual series. Hopefully there will be a second book of rarer material, or even more concept work like we see on the cover. Interesting that the Mospeada on the cover has roughly the same dimensions as the Beagle Mospeadas, the rider armour anyway.

I think this is all we have seen:
-
Does the web exclusive GBP set comes with the standard missiles in the chest/arms/legs etc and the foaming missiles as well (do they get swapped out or something)?
-
What's the armor plus line? Are there any photos or release date, price point etc? Thanks for any info.
-
I would (and did) buy the Beagle versions. Much more expensive back then too.
