Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.6
Tober replied to Duke Togo's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
amiami probably have the cheapest online price. I guess it depends where in Japan you live as I believe actual toy/hobby shops are usually much cheaper, if you can find one locally. Welcome to MW -
I think amiami.com still have the best online price - plus they have 50% off international shipping through Febuary.

1. Street Fighter 2 series - the beginning of multi-player intensity 2. Unreal 2003/4 - nothing has compared to the intensity and complexity that lies beneath the hood of these games. The only exception would be the Virtua Fighter series - games so complex they defeat themselves. 3. Silent Hill 1 and 2. They had their faults but the innovations more than made up for it. 4. Half Life series - action plus decent story that actually adds to the gameplay. 5. Resident Evil series - from 1 to 5 this has been gold for me. Where Silent Hill is profound RE is superficial and revels in it. 6. Goldeneye 7. Final Fantasy VII 8. Virtual On 9. Fallout 3 10. Marathon - Early FPS for Macintosh. Like Doom meets System Shock 11. Alien Vs Predator 2 - Love those Aliens, I had so much fun scaring the crap out of the marines and Preds in multiplayer. 12. Tomb Raider 13. Another World - vector based PC game 14. Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory 15: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 16. Left 4 Dead 2 17. Max Payne 1 and 2 18. Might and Magic III 19. Star Wars: Dark Forces series 20. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series I'm sure I've overlooked plenty tho... edit: ... like the Metal Gear Solid series.

The 25F w/ super parts is marked at 22% off (from $173). The 25F w/o super parts is sold out (no point in discounting it). I can't remember any differences between the 25F Valks themselves. (The 25S Ozma had a different neck piece with the Super Parts.) -
That was cool, but the 'Fitness - Fast Death Workout' link to the right side was too distracting...
-
That's not bad news really. Hopefully they will do a second set including Jim, Aisha, Sorji. Batra... Well I can dream If you're really desperate for a set then Yesasia.com appears to have some still in stock. Have a guess why.

As long as that F-15 is colored gunship grey I wouldn't complain But yeah, Shockwave and... Wheeljack would have been preferable. I'm actually really liking Alternity so far. It's all about the sculpt to me. I don't really care that Megatron and Optimus are cars either. 1/24 would of-course have been preferable.
-
BBTS Has new listings for Alternity, Device Label and Disney Label. Included is the previously announced as canceled Device Label Blaster. No new pics yet though. From TFW2005.com: Looks like I will be buying some TFs this year...
-
Yes. That guy in particular too.

Thanks for your work with Yamato, Graham. Much appreciated. I guess it's a given that the other 'new sculpt' is the scaled down SDF Macross...
-
For some reason I thought you would have nominated Cyborg Although from what I remember of it I did actually enjoy it. Hovever I also remember enjoying Hardware which I saw about a year ago... awful movie... ---------------------------- I tend not to count movies such as Planet of the Apes because it's not really post-apocalyptic in terms of genre. Same with Terminator, 12 Monkeys, Battlestar Galactica, Akira etc... I tend to think of needing or focusing on a small group of survivors to qualify.
-
Off the top... I thought 28 Days Later and I Am Legend were good for modern survival horror movies. The Quiet Earth is slow but good. Threads is gut-wrenching. Children of Men starts slow but improves (not sure it counts as post-apocalyptic though). Day of the Triffids (mini-series or movie) I liked but haven't seen in decades. I've heard good things about Survivors (mini-series) but haven't watched it yet. Does Macross: Do You Remember Love? count? Probably not...

I think it's a kick in the face to the people that bought the first CMs' Legioss and Tread sets that they aren't selling the enhancement set separately. It isn't as if it's aimed specifically at the Eta only, the Mars Base logo is missing on the missile bay doors, so it's just as compatible with the Zeta and Iota as well... I'd give my set to someone to recast with if I thought it was possible...
-
It can't really cost as much as the 1/2000 SDF Macross. It would be an unassembled kit. Would be made from injection plastic instead of the HD resin they used for the Macross. Probably wouldn't have anywhere as much detailing either, or transform. But then again, nor did the helmets. And it's a definite 'no sale' from me till they release the other two destroids.

My only real advice is to be careful with the white side covers, they can tear if you are not careful with them - don't try to force them to connect to the chest either, if they are not connecting easily then something is not lined up correctly. Maybe try loosening the screw on the neck to see if it helps the ball-socket on the neck connect. Hard to say about that stress mark - it might have happened at the factory - you could try contacting Toynami about a replacement, I have never dealt with them myself.

I've been a regular with HLJ since around 2000 as well. I've made hundreds of orders with them and have never experienced anything like what you are showing. I received a large shipment from Fantofan.jp yesterday consisting of 7 exclusive Masterpiece Grimlocks for collectors here. Two of the boxes were opened. I very much doubt F2F would have opened them so I suspect it was part of routine customs inspection as there was a piece of Australia Post tape on the outer box. One of the tabs on a box was slightly torn. Usually customs leave a note if they inspect boxes tho... So yeah, I'm REALLY surprised if HLJ caused the damage or shipped a damaged box. Is it possible that the box was inspected?

Okay, thanks. Explains why I haven't seen it or had any payment requests yet. Happy 2010 to everyone on Macross World.
-
Thanks Carl. My sincere thanks to Roger for compiling and releasing this material. I was thinking we would never get to see it in a printed format. Awesome way to start 2010. HNY everyone.

Does anyone know if the exclusive GBP set with the launching missile set has been released as well?
-
I couldn't tell you, sorry - I don't know. But because of their holidays you might be waiting for a reply for another week. I've only used them once for a few CMs Mospeada Ride Armors - after I placed the order they emailed me the same day saying that I had ordered the last of two of them and that the boxes were damaged - they offered me 50% off - I accepted cos I'm not a MISB collector anyway. When the order arrived I could barely make out the damage they were referring to... There were no problems with their communications then (about 3 months ago) and they were very prompt and professional with their shipping.

Japan has an almost entirely different set of holiday days over the new year period to us. Most stores there won't re-open until the 4th of January . Which is REALLY annoying seeing as there is a TON of stuff I'm interested in being released over these two weeks

Thanks BlueMax. It's BEAUTIFUL

I'm sure Hasbro mentioned it at some panel or investor report but no details were given. Apparently casting began earlier this month. That's about it..
