  1. Yeah, I agree about REX having the more serious look. I had a harder time taking RAY seriously. $490 includes shipping btw.
  2. Awesome, thanks! Is there anything of interest about the DX YF-29 down the bottom? I'm guessing it's the May re-release date...
  3. Says 1/48... I thought it was 1/24ish...
  4. I was given the impression the Regult sold out within 24 hours. The 1:2000 SDF kits also sold reasonably fast too. The 1:1 DYRL helmets sold fast too. All of those were high price items. Then HLJ stocked them...
  5. It's a garage kit. Chances are it uses Revoltech or other joint systems. Sorta similar to the 1/60 T-REX Zentran soldier.
  6. It does look a lot better there. But 15000jpy* + proxy + shipping and then having to commission a customiser to detail it (or risk screwing it up myself)... It's a pass. The falling cost and increasing accuracy of 3D prototyping will see superior kits being produced at a more affordable cost point. *Assuming that's correct.
  7. Do you have pictures of the final product? That tends to vary greatly from the 3D screen caps where small detail is concerned. I wouldn't expect that detail like the fingers or heel would print well.
  8. I would have been a lot more interested if they looked good...
  9. No, thanks for that tho. Interesting that it uses Beagle's transformation tho. Looks a bit weird.
  10. Any idea how large 1/35 that would end up being?
  11. I was actually under the impression that Toynami helped Beagle as far as the Ride Armors were concerned. I sorta remember there was a continued 3 month delay on the Beagle and it wasn't until the Toynami release was announced that the Beagle was released. I don't have much love for Toynami, but that was one occasion where I thought they might have actually helped.
  12. Those Wonderfest Invid figs look good, but strangely I'm more impressed by the Cyclone and Enforcer than the Pincer and Royal Command mecha. Although I don't quite remember the Enforcer being green... But it's been 10 years.
  13. Yeah, good news. Well, I was kinda hoping for about $400 inc shipping, oh well... The $490 is expected to include shipping tho. Last night from the 3A Forums:
  14. A mate of mine just got his confirmation email from HLJ.
  15. 1/48, 1/55, 1/60. One of those would be fine. 1/72 is kinda small for the Legioss, probably wouldn't get as much detail as desired at that scale.
  16. I'd pay $500 for a Yamato set (Legioss and Tread). But I'd probably only get the Eta (Blue) set.
  17. The WAVE Legioss Zeta (Red) Armo-Soldier 1/72 Model kit is up for pre-order at Amiami.
  18. They sold out a long time ago too. They are PVC and kinda fiddly - difficult to pose. The worst part was you had to order the box of 10 to get the parts to assemble the Guges Landmate. The 1/6 Hot Toys are the definitive versions of the Ex Machina Deunan and Bri.
  19. Yeah, their Arcee looks nice. Expensive tho... I'd actually prefer the black version. Robotkingdom are Hong Kong based.

  22. RAY was mentioned 10 posts up in the quote from the 3A News feed. Orders are now expected to go up around Mid to late February, however apparently Kojima's twitter said it still has a long way to go before the final look is achieved. No more info on price. Expected to be a single limited release, but there are indications of future colorways - which is kinda annoying.
  23. Domestically, within Japan, Takara's TF lines are similar to what Australia pays for Hasbro's TFs. Similar story for The UK and Europe, when they are lucky enough to get them. As for Asia, about $15 to $20 for a Hasbro deluxe in Hong Kong and SE Asia.
  24. Yes, but I mean within Japan TF toys are comparatively at a similar price point to most other non-US countries (maybe not Canada, not sure).
  25. Is it really known where to point the finger with the FE screw-up? My impression from what Hasbro has said in the past is that if a toy is carried by exclusively by a retailer it's because none of the others wanted it. I think you'll find that Japanese Takara prices are comparatively the same as most other non-USA countries. Down here Hasbro's deluxes retail for $25-$30.
