Creepy, but awesome. I haven't read Blame, but for all of it's faults I really liked Biomega.- 52 replies

Acid Rain - new 1:18 mecha toy line.
Tober replied to skullmilitia's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I have the ST-01 Stronghold 4 Eyes (Marine) and can give you some feedback. It weighs 750g with minimal dicast. The treads are rubber, but they don't roll. The detailing is fantastic and the texture has a grainy, dusty feel to it. When transformed it's about 25cm tall, a few cm taller than MP-10 Convoy or a VF-25 Valkyrie. The toy has a mostly solid feel, although I was really worried I was going to break it a few times, especially the head and gun rotations. I gradually applied increasing pressure at thge pivots until they finally began rotating. After that they were fine, they just needed some loosening. A similar problem with detaching the arms from the legs when transforming it, they were almost stuck together. This stiffness seems to be a result of the paint sticking a bit. Nothing broke or peeled, but it was worrying. The detented joints in the arms and legs work fine. All in all it's a mostly solid toy with a few nice gimmicks, but it has fragile parts and needs to be transformed with care. I don't have any disc batteries so I can't test the lights now. -
Am I the only one who is continously amazed at how perfect and white everyone's teeth are two years into the apocalypse? Yeah, figured I was...

Bandai Namco's profit last year was 173 billion yen, roughly one third of which is toy sales, of which roughly bugger-all is Macross. Their primary focus is on Gundam, One Piece, Idol Master, Kamen Rider and Power Rangers. There are other lines such as Saint Seiya and Tiger and Bunny that are popular but suffer shortages too.

Yeah, I hassled HLJ about it and they say they are different books, and are trying to stock the VF-1 book as well.

Nicely put Tochiro. At around three months from release Arcadia were still tweaking the colors of the upcoming YF-19, they possibly still are. I'm sure the Zero Valks will get the same level of attention. Now is not the time to start panicking, that's about a year away...

The VF-22 book is listed at HLJ, Amiami and Hobby Search. Soft Bank's site shows details for the VF-1 book, but I couldn't see anything about the VF-22 Master File...

Variable Fighter Master File VF-22 End of March release date. (HA!!)

Cool. I'd be down for two still. $160 version preferably. Bigger is better.
-
Could you use a stand instead? Or maybe wire or Blu-Tak to lock the joints in place...
-
Congratulations on completing those models DarrinG. They look great!

Actually, given the size of the Gamo, what price range are you looking at?

The red fabric on my Beagle Stick is falling apart. Rey is fine though.

Okay. Put me down for two if you're talking orders now. :)

If the 110mm refers to the length of the fortress mode then it's still not really that small. I assume it transforms as the SDF transformation isn't too complicated. I'd be interested in getting one.

Time until 4PM 3rd February Japan Time

SAL is based on size and weight. EMS is only based on weight and after 5kg goes up in increments of 1kg - there is ultimately some size limitation, but it's pretty large, and they will split shipping before that. Private Warehouse has huge benefits if you order many small items like a weekly magazine subscription that you can ship every two months.

They would be developing the S/A alongside the D, so that's not really a new mold.

February 9th in Japan, so the 8th in the USA. First pics might start leaking the day before during set-up.

See, this is why you should have gone ahead with the 1/10 Protector kit. You know there are going to be stragglers...
