    But what would it mean to Arcadia and Bandai? Could you imagine what would happen to them if a U3P created replacement ankles joints or non-exploding shoulders..!? How would they charge us for a renewal/version 2/fixed product a few years down the line? More seriously, I'm curious to know how well received U3P product is in Japan. That's where the greater market would potentially be.

    That is somewhat confusing given there is NO relation between, for example, Hasbro and FansProjects. And the last sentence Which would imply that the third party is a second party to the first party... Which would confirm what I said about the relationships being dependent upon whose perspective you're looking at them from.... Then again this is a topic (on TF boards) that coined the phrase 'Fourth Party' to refer to products that were created to compliment third party products... EDIT: Okay, I'll knock it off.

    Hmm... As I understand it that's not quite right. First party depends where you stand in relation to the other parties. If there is a direct relationship it is second party, third party is indirect. So to Hasbro as a customer I am a second party. To me Hasbro are the second party. Hot Toys are second party to Hasbro as they are licensed. FansProject etc are third party to Hasbro as they have no direct relationship. I think that's right. It's a throwback to first, second and third person points of view in writing.

    I'm not sure unlicensed development is going to be great news for companies like Arcadia, TREX and Digimix. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. Is it wrong that I'm liking that hybrid VF-1J/S so much...

    D'OH! Thanks. Fixed now. That's what I get for not checking the link. Robot Kingdom have lifted their game over the last few years. They do mostly cater to Transformers and their 3rd party product.

    It does however mean competition, which ensures they need to establish a reputation with quality product and can't go too nuts with the prices. Kinda surprised it's taken this long to see a MP Sunstreaker, but still no sign of MP Jazz or Blaster.

    Yeah, I know it can rotate around the pivot, but I didn't think it could actually perform as a helicopter... It has no rear rotor... Thanks for the info. Might have to dig out SC again.

    Bape Convoy looks hideous, even worse than Eva Convoy. This one will be staying in the box. And hopefully they won't release their other colorways either...

    It's not a helicopter tho, is it? Those 'rotors' are a radar array or something. There is also a variant that doesn't have them.
