Gonna play online after work today, around 7:30 Pacific. Anyone down?

Convertors were actually licensed from Mark, a little company that worked with Takatoku to make the small, crappy Macross and other sleazy train station toys. So not really bootlegs. Many of them actually have Takatoku copyrights printed on them.

I also got Mech Assault 2, Armored Core 4, and Chromehounds if anyone wants to play those over Live.

The missions I always loathe in GTA are when they make me remote control something like a toy helicoptor or a toy airplane. I wanted to kill everyone I've ever met thanks to that stupid RC airplane mission in San Andreas. That's what sends people into murderous rages, not killing digital hookers.

Multiplayer was impossible to get to work for me the first day I played it, but since then it's been fine.

Freezing is supposed to be at the very beginning. You shouldn't even be able to get to play if it's the freeze. I had no problems on 360.

The downloadable episodes thing is pretty compelling. I guess the big deal is where does online play perform better, PS3 or Xbox 360?

Yeah, I pre-ordered the AnimEigo and it was definitely $250, which was, and is still fine by me.

Yeah, I really liked Tommy Yune. He's a cool guy and very knowledgeable about 80's mecha anime. I think he was just in a tough position with a small budget and having to meet a bunch of ridiculous requirements. I think the movie is okay, but I am sympathetic. It could have been a lot better if they gave him a real budget and let him do what he wanted. Basically it's fine as a TV movie, but when presented as a feature film it's ... a stretch.

In the interview on the end of the AnimEigo set, Ishiguro Noboru specifically says that Anno was Ichiro Itano's assistant on Macross.

I want to get this, but don't have a PS3 or an Xbox. Does anyone have any suggestions on which to buy? I am really interested in online play. Maybe we can even get a Macross-y team going here.

Shadow Chronicles is OKAY, but it's nowhere near as good as Macross F. What people should be mad about is that the bleu ray disc has way more features, not that it's coming out at all. Of course it was going to come out.

I also have the tape and it's advertised in the comic book Macross #1 published by Comico, written by Carl Macek, and drawn by his wife Svea, with an essay in the beginning about Macross and how they were going to bring out other cool shows like Mospeda (sic) and Southern Cross, but nary a mention of Robotech.

What about the HG dub of the first three episodes of Macross that was direct to video and not Robotech that came out earlier?

AnimeFriend animated basically all of Mospeada and it looks pretty crappy. Compared to the animation by Artland, it's a major step down, no matter how you look at it.
