    I think that the VF-1 should be packaged in GERWALK mode. It is distinctive and unique, even if it is the absolute worst for packaging efficiency.

    If there's one thing I've learned from video games and movies, it is that Earth is basically an interstellar Rome, in the sense that all roads lead to it. I can hardly think of a better place to search for extraterrestrials.

    I'm very tempted. I love me some Huckebeins. I love 'em more in deep purple, but... teal isn't a BAD color. It is a darn shame the MetalSaga Vanishing Trooper was a turd, though, as I prefer the original vanishing trooper to the Mk II. ... Actually, that sentence raises a question. This toy seems to be going out of its way to avoid connection to the source material, to the extent of actually being the wrong color. Did they get an angry letter from Bandai after calling their obviously-a-Huckebein by its canon nickname?

    We need more unlicensed not-Ruinations. Not because I have any soft spot for him, but because I want more Movor clones. I WILL HAVE ALL THE SPACE SHUTTLES, AS LONG AS THEY ARE WHITE! ... Well, all the ones with decent vehicle modes.

    One of the worst parts of World War 2 is that it made it easy to paint these things in absolutes. Much of what people know about the reasons for war in general begins and ends at "Hitler was evil. Like, cartoon super-villain evil." It lends the pereception that EVERY conflict is a righteous crusade against supervillainy, which wasn't even really true for WW2(with most of the stuff Hitler is known for today being unknown or disbelieved during the war). Hell, we allied ourselves with STALIN in WW2. If Stalin is on the side of pure unalloyed justice and righteousness, then something is profoundly wrong with the world.

    Last I heard, Paramount was still insisting every aspect of Discovery was a unique creation and that it is sheer coincidence that they happen to have developed giant blue psychic FTL tardigrades just like a video game. ... And somehow, they genuinely expect people to BELIEVE that "giant blue psychic FTL tardigrades" is something that accidentally collides. (Or more likely, they expect their legal team to be able to bury any accusation of wrongdoing and are still trying to figure out what to do when the guy didn't back down)

    Honestly, at this point, G1 reissues generally don't do a lot for me. Once I get past nostalgia, the toys just ... well, they usually feature anywhere from two to zero points of articulation, and that leaves more than a little to be desired. Learned that way back when Generation 2 was a thing. Got Prime and a couple of Constructicons, and then just went "Is that all they can do?" ... And if the missile launcher isn't a choking hazard, there's no point! THAT SAID, I'd buy a few reissues. Shockwave, Sky Lynx, a nice set of Dinobots... maybe Blaster and Soundwave... assuming ANY OF THEM ever showed up within a hundred miles of me. The whole "Toys R Us exclusive" thing for the last set of reissues killed it for me, as they never hit my store and I wasn't interested in paying scalpers.

    Keijo! manages to LOOK like skanky irredeemable trash while BEING a fantastic parody of sports, fight, and T&A animes. I think the highest praise I can give it is that I got my younger sister to watch and enjoy it, and was comfortable watching it with her. I asked her to give it a chance in spite of appearances, she was just "I'm trying, but the show isn't making this easy.". Over the course of the first episode, she went from glaring daggers at me to laughing raucously at the absurdity of it all.

    They homage pretty much everything. In addition to the above fighting animes, there's also Fate/Stay Night and King of Braves Gaogaigar homages. You haven't lived until you've shown an unsuspecting Fate fan the Fate episode of Keijo. And honestly, I think the fanservice is a parody too.

    Stopping only to eat the stuff between his toes. Honestly, I think it is because a lot of those ARM chips only have Linux drivers, so they were stuck unless they wanted to develop everything from scratch and add tons of R&D costs to their cheap cash-in(which is apparently so cheap they couldn't even check if all of their disk images were NTSC games). If I were Sony, I'd see if there was a couple crates of Vita parts left over somewhere, maybe a few fully-assembled Vita TVs left over that they could recase. It woulda made this thing really easy to make, since all the work was done years ago. But I'm guessing they couldn't get more of the CPUs at a reasonable cost.
