  1. Looks like a storyboard-type thing.
  2. Well, they DID skip large amounts of the trip. Everything between Pluto and Saturn, and Saturn and Mars was ignored. Though it was stated that they'd been under pretty regular attack between Saturn and Mars, which may have prvented a stopover at Jupiter. And they were likely too busy setting up a counter-offensive at Saturn to refuel. Unless they were scooping particles out of the rings, but I'd think the scoop would've been on the bow of the ship, which was pointing upwards during the Saturn operation, if I'm not mistaken. And as the Macross wasn't originally designed to be a long-range vessel, I have doubts as to whether a bussard scoop was there to begin with. But Uranus and Neptune were untouched. If they were capable of refueling from gas giants, that's where they'd've done it.
  3. I think they used XviD, but I'm not sure. BTW, Shin Getter VS Neo Getter 1 jitters horribly. ... Not that it's stopped me from starting a download of 2...
  4. The one with a coherent story. You lose. And I believe your evaluation to be somewhat misguided.
  5. That seems backwards. ... Unless you got an ultra-cheap USB adapter. There's a wide range of USB adapters, and the really cheap ones are known to have problems(like visible lag).
  6. What goat walked over your bridge?
  7. Oh. A damaged overtech cloaking circuit?
  8. Stop spreading lies. The Gravis Gamepad Pro has an abysmally bad d-pad, making it near-worthless as a game controller. Favorite boss... TOP MAN! Killing Wily in one hit using an utterly worthless weapon was worth everything else. ... Megaman 3 has some really stupid bosses, come to think of it.
  9. Maybe he got shot down between the battle on South Ataria and the beginning of the movie?
  10. BTW... As your bank account's lawyer, it is my duty to inform you that your bank account has just filed for divorce.
  11. I will never accept Megatron as a tank. Megatron is not a tank. He's a politically incorrect handgun.
  12. If you have a TV card, you can get the images in that way.

    Whats worth getting?

I'll have to check, but I'm pretty sure the pilot doesn't set the legs on a table while his jet folds up, then reattach them later. (and yes, I realize this only applies to the 1/60s)
  14. I thought he was a hypchondriac. He did it because he was worried about losing his memory, despite the lack of evidence. Anyways, a possible story reason for Exedol to look like DYRL's is that DYRL Exedol was styled after modern Exedol instead of Space War Exedol. People who'd seen Exedol recently will go "What the hell? That's not Exedol! He's supposed to be green! And lumpy!" Their perception of reality is more important than actual reality. And they precieve Exedol as always being like the Macross 7 Exedol.
  15. One would assume submarine crew get the squirts too.
  16. Heehee.
  17. Furthermore, they're riddled with typos.
  18. Men poop too.
  19. I think the VF-0 was designed to use jet engines. From Macross Compendium:
  20. If memory serves me right, Musashi's deaths in the previous Getter Robo installments were instrumental to the storylines. In Shin Getter Robo, however, his death practically had no meaning. It's as if he was the series' version of South Park's Kenny. I'm just a firm believer that people should only have to die once.
  21. Actually, it was Musashi that got killed. Again.* (*Musashi was killed at least once in the original series and on nearly every Getter Robo theatrical feature.) Does anyone besides me ever feel sorry for those kinds of people? It's bad enough they have to die once, but to do it over and over and over again...
  22. In atmosphere, perhaps. In space they'd quickly die as the gas in their bodies (oxygen/nitrogen) rapidly expands and forms bubbles, boils away, and turns them into an agonizing hideous and bloody mess. No kidding. They'd be dead long before asphyxiation had a chance to set in. And no, despite popular miconception, people's bodies don't explode in a vacuum - it'd probably be a quicker and less painful death if they did, though. This is essentially what happens to deep sea divers who surface too quickly, though on a much more extreme end of the spectrum. The entire flight suit would have to be completely sealed and pressurized in order to survive if the cockpit depressurized in space. Aren't we talking about the VF-0 here? A similar problem would apply at very high altitudes, though the VF-0 isn't capable of operating near that high.
  23. Virgin Road is my arch-nemesis. Never before have I so desperately wanted to skip an episode that I like. I'm torn between the writing and the animation.
  24. Having dragged my old Transformers out recently, I have to say one thing... I resent plastic. When I was a kid, a toy could double as a weapon in a pinch. Just run up and bash someone in the head with a nice chunk of Yellow Lion. Plastic took over completely from die-cast and the end result is modern toys fail during normal usage. And you can just forget throwing them at someone. Sure my old GoBot space shuttle has a big garish gray metal area where the windshield was, but when I imagine that damage across a white plastic nosepiece with a windshield sticker, it doesn't look that bad. And white paint on diecast doesn't turn yellow like white plastic can. Tragically, the arms and feet were made of a plastic rather susceptible to yellowing(though the wings and tail are still white, the scratches across them detract from the aesthetic value somewhat).
  25. HAHA! ... I always wonder if maybe I should've given Beast Wars a chance. I never watched it because the idea of Transformers without origami cars apalled me. The Hasbro Version had the same amount of Die Cast as the original. The box screamed out that. The Korean oversized version however was all plastic down to the wheels. I can confirm that, as I own a G2 Prime. Just in case someone argues the point.
