  1. NO! MACROSS IS POOPY! ONLY POKEMON IS WORTH WATCHING!
  2. but they are still alive in the movie. They died afterwards. Extincition doesn't just happen overnight. Except in geological terms. Takes several years. LIES! IT'S NOT TRUE! I WON'T BELIEVE IT!
  3. Well, aside from the official specs, one can always make an estimate based on the animated width of the gun relative to the mech. Which allegedly gives you a vastly diffrent caliber for mobile suits than the official specs. sheesh and I thought I was a big nerd Hey, at least I haven't actually figured it out yet. Much less figured out how much damage the Death Star did to Endor when it blew up(yes, someone actually did that. Their conclusion: ewoks are dead).
  4. BLASPHEMY! ... Man, the fun I had with mine way back in the day. I even managed to not lose the gun barrel before the robot broke.

  6. Whether Shockwave is cool or lame can be answered by the following question: Does he fold into a gun? I swear, if they neutered the great and mighty purple one out of political correctness... This isn't another Megatron that they can do with as they please. This is SHOCKWAVE.
  7. Why bother when I have an emulator that almost works right. Dropping a bomb > replaying the level a dozen times.
  8. Assuming they're built to the same level of accuracy, no. A Legioss is officially a good bit SMALLER than a VF-1. VF-1 fighter: 14.23 meters long. VF-1 battroid: 12.68 meters tall. Legioss armo-fighter: 10.25 meters long. Legioss armo-soldier: 8.75 meters tall. And for repetition's sake... The original RX-78 Gundam: 18.5 meters tall. Sources: http://macross.anime.net/ http://members.optusnet.com.au/~cyc01/index.htm http://www.mahq.net/ (I could've saved myself some typing had I thought of that from the start). Assuming we keep it to one model...VF-1: Missiles, multi-mode for maximum versatility, smaller target. RX-78: Shield, melee weaponry for in-close combat.
  9. Realistically, neither an alpha, a valkyrie, nor a gundam have any business fighting anything.
  10. After studying all the photos on NASA's site and in this thread in great detail, I believe I've discovered the true problem, and I'm sure everyone will agree. Spirit was buried under an endless swarm of Photoshop CDs.
  11. Are you refering to the black screen after you finish the game? Also, how does VF-X2 play on PSXeven compared to ePSXe? Is there a noticable difference in anything (graphics, sound, etc.)? No. In DYRL(not VFX2), when you die, the continue screen automatically hit the button before hte countdown even appeared. I wanted to hear the music. This was fixed in the latest version, but I'd already run through the game at that point. And the boss in the Kakizaki dies level just doesn't come out in ePSXe, and has to be coaxed out in PSXeven. As I said already. VFX2 looks and sounds exactly the same on any emulator that uses plugins. Remember, the final rendering is based on the plugin, not the emulator. I saw no major glitches in PSXeven, though I quit playing after a while because I wans't having much fun.
  12. That's what missiles are for. 'Sides, the laser has some good cutting power.
  13. I haven't used the latest version much, but PSXeven was far superior to ePSXe one version ago. One of PSXeven's features was the ability to play DYRL almost right. There's A glitch, but it can be gotten around. Specifically, the level where Kakizaki dies. The last boss refuses to show up. In PSXeven, you can knock some sense into the game by dropping a bomb. ePSXe just got stuck. Latest ePSXe fixed the continue screen, which didn't work in the previous version. Dunno about the boss thing, dun really care to play through to that point to test. As near as I can tell, ePSXe is suffering from the NESticle effect. It was one of the first good emulators, so people continue to recommend it despite the fact that it hasn't kept up. ... Though ePSXe isn't NEAR as far behind as NESticle, and is still being actively developed on top of that.
  14. Personally, I'm still annoyed by the naming scheme. They recycle names that don't fit at all, then make new names up when they have a name that SHOULD be recycled. It makes my head hurt. ... And they refuse to make a new Omega Supreme. ... And Megatron is a gun, not a tank! SCREW POLITICAL CORRECTNESS! ... I think that's it.
  15. Damn, guess I was wrong...
  16. Random contemplation... Doesn't Ivy look more like she belongs in Dead or Alive than Soul Calibur? At least with her default costume...
  17. I hope it IS a 1/100. ... a 1/100 SDF-1, that is.
  18. I predict the first flame in 3 more posts...
  19. HG owns the US distribution rights. This is not debated. Whether they actually hold a copyright is up for debate, but they do have some rights to the original Macross, and Animeigo DID have to license it from them.
  20. I pronounce it "hopeless nerd".

    Yamato 1/48 Valkyries

What about the often forgot about D-type head? I think it's sexy. You're right... D = about the same level as S, only since it 's only seen once it's easy to forget.
  22. PS2 is the only machine on the market with a 128-bit CPU. Not that it matters. It's emulated anyways. You could do it with an 8-bit processor(though it'd be VERY slow). But the PS2 is a pain in the butt to emulate. The hardware's powerful and complex(as opposed to merely powerful like hte Dc and GameCube, which both use 64-bit processors).

And the -A isn't? You MUST be smokin' the good stuff, man. 1J's are probably the most handsome head out of the four general types. 1A looks like a damn camera. Precisely. The A is hideous. The S is not bad. The J is damn sexy.
