You expect an honest answer? I can almost GUARANTEE he won't say "Nope, this is a 100% illegal product, but we're selling it anyways." They need more than a Nintendo license anyways(as if Nintendo WOULD license their software out for distribution). Each and every title on it has to be licensed from it's creator. And while SNK doesn't care about Iron Tank, Konami will be VERY interested in collecting royalties for Contra. The entire price tag of that thing should be made of licensing fees, in all honesty.

A passenjer jet with support vehicles, a generic-looking spaceship, and... I'm sure the reIS another one, but I can't recall right now.
-
But it lets Basara LOOK bad-ass while he flies! And isn't that what's REALLY important here?
-
But I was never in the club to begin with.

Thanks! Since they have been out for some time now why haven't they been stopped then? This isn't the net they are being sold on or China but in gaming stores at the local malls. Well, that requires figuring out who the manufacturer is. And then the manufacturer has to be in a place where you can actually sue them(most bootlegs come from countries that don't give a crap about copyright). Other than that, all they can do is nail distributors. And as none of the game stores in my area carry them, I assume it's something being picked up by the local branches. And Nintendo really doesn't ahve the manpower to be searching every game store in the nation for bootleg NES games, much less every store in general. Last time I saw the bootlegs for sale was at the State Fair of Texas(though I ahven't been looking very hard). Other indicators besides Nintendo's typical corporate behavior as to the questionable legality are the packaging claims. If you get one, you'll find it falls far short of the promised 10trillion games, or whatever # they choose for the day. Honest distributors are few and far between(no suprise, ginve the merchandise they're pushing). 50 is probably an accurate #, but a lot of times the package claims 1000, 10000, or some other silly impressive #, and then has multiple menu entries for each game and if they're creative they have the games start with a wrong pallete so it LOOKS diffrent(and festeringly ugly). To the best of my knowledge the only non-Gameboy portable system that's ACTUALLY legal is the chinese iCue. Nintendo basically shoved an N64 into a Dreamcast controller, and made it use standard SmartMedia cards for games. The intent behind Nintendo's first official release in China is to undercut the pirates. They can ask a buck or 2 to rewrite the flash RAM cards, and it's pure profit. The pirates have to actually manufacture cartridges or CDs, which costs money. All Nintendo's real costs are in the initial hardware purchase. Basically a case of if they can't beat piracy legally, they'll do it economically. The odds of an iCue or similar device ever making it to America are zip, BTW. Just like we never got the FamiCom Disk System or Nintendo Power flash carts(not to be confused with the american magazine of the same name). They don't want cheap games available here.

I've been checking my WalMart since I first saw this thing mentioned. Mine only carries the other bots.

I've seen that like a million times and never realized! I'd always assumed he was on-duty during that scene, but I never thought about why there was a flight helmet there if that was the case. *kicks self*

Hikaru's weapons tend to be good all-around, as I recall. Not as much power in any mode as Max's energy chain and Millia's big blaster, but more powerful overall. As well as better at hitting hard targets. The lasers were the best piercing weapon by far, and the grenades were the best vertical weapons by virtue of power and predictability(the homing laser did some retarded thigns sometimes, and Millia had no real vertical strike capability). I suck at side-scrollers, though.
-
Right. Those jillion in one systems are just plain piracy. Anyone that would believe one is legal is an idiot. No offense.

The only thing I saw in the FAQ that was relevant was about a flaw in the included reverse-engineered CD system cards. And given I know of no other PCE/TG-16 emu that even comes with reverse-engineered BIOS images, that would place Magic Engine far ahead of the competition. ... Though I use dumps of the system cards anyways.
-
On what difficulty level, and with what pilot? Some levels are a LOT harder with the wrong pilot(Max's only really powerful weapon is NOT RANGED, for example, which makes many enemies a pain in the butt).
-
Or some sort of "programmable" paint. The pilot just has to create a color scheme and feed it into the computer, which realigns the pigments as needed. Intended for stealth purposes(adaptive camoflauge), but the pilots keep defeating the purpose by wiring it up in bright primary colors. The worst part is there's similar products being developed now. Only for "smart" paper instead of fighterplane skin.

Actually, as I understand it, the gold aura you get when you don't fire is called a minmay beam or something similar. And it turns enemy vehicles to your side. So they may be more like Mac7 than you realize. ... And the chain weapon that Max uses in GERWALK mode is pretty obviously a relative of the pinpoint barrier seen on the YF-16 and -21. And Millia's battroid weapon is over-powered enough to be related to that snap-on super cannon the YF-19 uses in one scene of Mac Plus. ... DAMN YOU ALL! NOW I'M DOING IT TOO!

What makes you say that? Because no one ever uses my ideas.

No you cant if opened there is a restocking fee of 15%. I knwo i used to sell them at Best Buy I don't work at Bestbuy but I returned stuff at Bestbuy before too. And not all customer service rep will charge that 15% restocking fee. They don't even do that on computer videocards. If they do charge just comeback another time and do it again, but this time just said it's defective and you want another one. Now you'll have a brand new item that's not open. Now you can return for a full refund because of the first defective item you lost intrest in the item alltogether. I work as a CSR before so I know what i'm talking about. You can even return a item for store credit that you purchase somewhere else, like game, movies, anthing that has the same barcode. You just need to back up your lie all the way to the end. Also there's lots of stores that will give full refund within 14 days. SEAR, K-mart, Target, Frys. EBgames even let you return games for a different one with'in 7 days. On the flip side, someone at Customer Service for CompUSA once tried to charge me a restocking fee on an exchange because the packaging was damaged. A quick discussion with the manager fixed that. -
If one wanted to try and fit M:SV in, it has to take place before the launch of the Megaroad 1, as Hikaru is unavailable after that point in the timeline. The Max and Millia paint schemes, as well as Max and Milla's presence in Valkyries instead of QRaus IMPLY, but do not PROVE, post-TV continuity, as opposed to post-movie continuity. But Scrambled Valkyrie's actually one of those "Who cares about the timeline? Let's just whore the license" games like the PCEngine CDs were. ... Fortunately Macross does VERY GOOD in those kinds of games, especially when compared to the (generally disliked) games that DO fit the continuity(VFX series and M3).

Or they could just claim there's a fundamental flaw with the "YF-4" design. This flaw sends the designers back to square 1 to rethink teh plane. In the meantime other companies come up with next-gen vehicles that DO work properly. Hence why the Alpha is used later instead of the VF-4. And the fact that MOSPEADA has a VF-4 lookalike makes it even better, since they can retain it in the story. Claim the YF-4 was re-designed as a non-transformable fighter after the Alpha went into production. ... Of course, the odds of them ACTUALLY doing this are pretty slim.

Texas is a bit insane. As I understand it, the law here is that you are authorized to use deadly force to stop any crime that can't be stopped in any other way. That means that you can shoot someone for running off with your salt shaker if you can't catch up with them. ... It also means you can shoot a carjacker, but can't try to shoot the tires out as he drives off, as a firearm is automatically classified as deadly force, and soving things in a non-lethal manner oproves deadly force wasn't needed. Screwed up, I tell ya. The INTENT isn't bad, but the actual implementation leaves something to be desired. -
It DOES look a lot better. ... Can someone confirm that he's using his engine as a laser gun?
-
LMAO! YEAH RIGHT! This is incredible. But knowing me, I'll prolly frakk around and get it anyway. Be sure and tell us what was "added".
