The game effects were as follows: If you stop firing your weapon, a field of some sort develops around the valkyrie. If you touch certain enemies with this field, they convert to your side and start shooting at enemies. You can only do this with one enemy at a time, and once I had one I was never able to get a different one (it stayed with you), so I always did my best to wait for a Glaug or Nas-Jer to show up and use it on them I could swap out pretty good. You just gotta make sure the guy you're tagging is stealable. Otherwise your old guy retreats and you don't get a new one. Also, since the Minmay Beam is the same size and shape regardless of mode, Fighter mode is best for vertical tagging, and battroid mode is best for horizontal tagging. Otherwise you get a lot of ramming damage(F mode is especially bad, as horizontal tagging is easier than vertical and the nose of the Valk touches the front edge of the Minmay Beam).

BTW, my weapon of choice was a laser gun. ... I didn't think I picked ANY Sonic-esque answers. Hell, I even said I was an 8-bit character.

Funny but those ain´t sound boosters , itwas never mentioned in Scrambled valk that it was a sound booster , I would say it´s more of a energy abosrbtion pod or something else. If I recall, it's officially designated a "Minmay Beam". Which sounds like a poor man's sound booster to me. Eh, never mind. Tehre's no evidence the "minmay beam" originates from those panels. ... Where do they fold to for fighter mode, anyways?

Because by definition you only have one OS. An OS can run several sub-applications(your comp does it every time you use it), but you cannot run multiple OSes simultaneously, barring exotic workarounds such as emulators.

Exactly. The whole idea of mechs using guns with triggers is far fetched.... Well, yes, but I wasn't going to touch that. Even granted there's a good reason, there's no even remoptely logical reason for there to be a safety on a mech-carried rifle. Safetys exist to prevent you from accidentally firing it. A mech's not gonna fire it unless you tell it to. Which means the only needed safety is in the cockpit. That's ... actually a good justification. Not an optimum weapon for other mechs, but it's accessable to them. Which means a VF-4, Spartan, macronized zentradi, etc. can arm itself with a gunpod from a VF-1 hanger if it desperately needed to. Also leaves a way for you to fire it in fighter mode.

Probably one of them is to deploy the bayonet while the other as Nanashi so elequently put, shoots the gun. Great job again big N, so....got any info on the VF-19s pod? Also possible it's a grip safety. Though the logic of including such a device on a mech-carried rifle escapes me.
