    They're probably supposed to be, in that no one thought much about the exact details of interstellar shipping and just put "normal shipping containers" in(it makes it very readable for the audience if you don't reinvent the wheel needlessly, after all). But that would actually be a little strange since ISO and the entire shipping industry was destroyed in Space War I. Granted, when the industry was rebuilt the primary initial concern would be compatibility with the equipment aboard the Macross/Daedalus/Prometheus, so there's definitely room for ISO to reach out from beyond the grave. But it also creates room for new formats to establish themselves as the industry is rebuilt and expanded, so there may very well be two active container standards(to the consternation of dock workers everywhere).

    I think the US toy gun laws suck too. Particularly as it's an inconsistent patchwork and no one wants to deal with every state being different. I gather that's the biggest issue, several states have restrictions beyond the federal ones and they aren't consistent with each other. Making a single toy gun sellable in all states is very difficult, and fans won't like the results. Folks were upset enough about Classics Megatron, and I don't believe he's CA- or NY-legal these days, so they'd have to go even farther. I don't think Wal-Mart can outfit a SWAT team, though. SWAT gets the fun switch burst-fire and full-auto, and Wal-Mart can't sell that kind of rifle.

    So the best-case here is "no one in the history of the franchise has ever cared about scale and it is wildly inconsistent"? Seems odd to take a firm stand about accurate numbers when that's the starting point. But what do I know?

    I really like the new base mode's use of the silver matrix and blue blast as a water fountain. Gives it a little dash of charm.

    Nah. And that number is still considered very wrong, so what did the fans actually win? And the official Death Star sizes that originated with the West End RPG are still unchanged despite being far more difficult to reconcile with the films.

    Best part about every new Styropyro post is it stands as confirmation he hasn't managed to accidentally kill himself. Second-best part is seeing what mad science he's up to this time, and how likely it is to blind someone(or everyone).

    My sister's window AC unit has smart appliance wi-fi nonsense. She was like "I am never connecting that to the network. Is there a way to completely disable the radio without breaking the air conditioner?"

    They had problems with tape not sticking, apparently root-caused to a broken air conditioner. Everyone was miserable, and this made it worse.

    I'm pretty sure everything's an Optimus Prime because they sell more that way. There's people who have Optimus-only collections, and will buy any random thing that says Optimus Prime on the box but nothing else. I still think Basara should cross up with Armada Starscream, who is already 3/4s of a Fire Valkyrie. He even has a reasonable approximation of a sound booster pack as a character-specific gimmick! Failing that, Nekkimus Prime should be Rodimus-based, not Optimus-based. Especially if he's getting a Space Winnebago trailer.

    As a long-suffering fan of the original Lunar games... folks have no idea how true this is. You think you want a remake until it happens, misses the point and every adjacent point along the way, and effectively erases the original in the process. I JUST WANT A NEW COPY OF THE SILVER STAR, GAME ARTS. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?

    It occurs to me this is probably a direct response to Space War 1, and what we learned about the history of the galaxy at large and Earth's aggressors. The tale of the zentradi and the protoculture stands as a very large warning sign that has "don't make custom-engineered supersoldiers" written very large and in an awful lot of blood.
