And the latest in mail-in game exchanges! The latest incarnation of Pokemon(currently only out in Japan) has a bug where if hte DS and GBA versions are inserted into a DS for data exchange, saves are often deleted or corrupted. If you were dumb enough to import, you're screwed.

One of the PS1 Gran Tourismos had severe enough glitches that SCEA had a mail-in exchange program. Virtua Fighter on the Saturn was bad enough that Sega America gave Virtua Fighter Remix away free to owners of the original version, too(no mail-in exhcange though, so you got to keep your crappy glitch-ridden disk). It's rare(largely because console games are better debugged due to the lack of patchability), but it happens sometimes.

Beats having to mail the game in and wait for a replacement, which has happened with some titles. Besides, this is just choppy netplay. PC games don't work right in single-player out of box.
