1. I think I called Power Rangers as "a cheap knockoff of Voltron" at the time.
2. I remember seeing an episode or 2. I thought it was better than the competition. Which didn't exactly say a hell of a lot, given the competition as I saw it consisted mainly of VR Troopers.
3. Oh yeah, its a giant protodevlin spider . What is this space gandam stuff? A totally rip-off anime? 355262 If you're serious, then yes. The Space Gandam series is a proud and time-honored knockoff. Hell, look at the name. It's JUST far enough from Gundam to avoid lawsuits in the low-enforcement areas in which it is marketed.
4. Hey, it'd be a better sequel than Shaodw Chronicles...
5. Well... if you have a mage with a staff that enables great magic, and use them last, you can do utterly MASSIVE damage to every enemy in the field. Beyond that, it's just for style. But style aside, don't go overboard unless it's the final guy on the field, because you've got charge points to worry about.
6. Indeed. I liked the timer too. Was nice to have a world where just hunting rabbits and sleeping for 6 months actually affected something.Fortunately, there's enough time provided to do everything(if you don't get killed). I wished there was another way to gain materialize points, though. Ran through all my allotment a few times while I was learning the gameand was stuck with no way to re-equip or heal(I ran out in the final dungeon on my first playthrough, so no napping). Shame about the glitches, though. At least the US version is mostly bug-fixed.
7. In addition to my previously listed items... Radiata Stories. Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter. A Galaxian t-shirt. 10$ giftcard for MalWart. And I thought I was late with Dragon Quarter... I've had all 4 of those PS1 titles for years. All good choices, of course. I strongly recommend leading with VP. tri-Ace is God. And because I got a toy, I have to play... "You WILL reveal the location of the autobot base. One way or another."
8. The final tally is: A Sempron 2800+ with a GB of RAM and a 120GB hard drive. Transformers Alternator Shockwave, I mean Blast. Radiata Stories. Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter. A humorous Galaxian t-shirt. A 10$ MalWart gift certificate.
9. How about "Protoculture is not a battery in Macross"? Or "the invid did not attack in Macross"(in point of fact, the MOSPEADA portion of Robotech takes place at the same date as Macross Plus)? You're confusing publisher with owner. A far too common mistake. HG licensed ADV to do the DVD releases of Robotech, MOSPEADA, Southern Cross, and the reissue of Macross. Animeigo had the FIRST Macross license from HG, but HG refused to renew it. No. Macross 2 is the only alternate universe Macross product, though many people dislike Macross 7(it's a very super-robot style program, and as you know, most other Macross productions feature a more military style on both the mecha and characters). The movie Do You Remember Love is SORT OF alternate. Officially, it's a movie created within the Macross universe, similar to the real-world Pearl Harbor film. It's not an accurate portrayal of Space War 1, but it IS part of the main timeline. Robotech's an alternate universe as well, but it's not Macross.
10. We've seen them all. Along with Macross 7, for better or worse. And you're confused. Macross and Robotech are diffrent products, in diffrent universes. Harmony Gold uses Macross footage for the first half of Robotech(followed by Southern Cross and MOSPEADA), but it's not Macross. Or even anime, IMO. IT's an american production that uses several anime programs to provide the visuals and portions of the plot outline. They won't resurrect it because Sentinels is, by most counts, a horrid piece of work. They've written a new story called Shadow Chronicles to take its place. By most counts it is less horrid. Likely never. Aside from a large portion of the Eva and Akira camp requiring shiny visuals to watch the program, HG lacks the marketing skill needed to resurrect their cash cow. Also: file me in the "Eva and Akira are way overrated" camp.
11. Works here. Nifty little clip.
12. I've already gotten a Sempron 2800, motherboard, hard drive, case, and gig o' RAM. Needed to assemble and test everything before the processor return period expired. Tomorrow I'm gonna get an Alternator Shockwave(I like Shockwave, and I don't have any Alternators yet, for some reason), and some question marks.
13. Most of the people on the internet ARE morons though. Hell, most of the peopel in the world are. We DO seem to have a relatively low percentage here, though.
14. Ditto. I would like to take this moment to point out that our very own MacrossWorld has a similar nifty image attachment feature. Even better, because you don't have to be a member of another board to view the attachment.
15. ACTUALLY, HE FELT THE HEAT COMING..WHAT BETTER WAY TO PARDON YOURSELF THAN BEING PRESIDENT. HE HA SBEEN UNDER ATTACK FROM OTHER PARTY'S AGAINST HIM. SO THIS ATTACK IS NOTHING NEW FOR HIM, OR HIS "FRIENDS". NOTHING NEW THAN POLITICAL ALIGATIONS. SAME THAT GOES HERE IN U.S WITH CURRENT PRESIDENT...... EX: MEMOGATE, SKIPPING SERVICE, LEFTIS NEWS AND SO ON. 354390 Whoa, US politics cropped up. I can feel the flames already.
16. That or Basbelfish is providing it's usual LSD-induced engrish.
17. BUMBLEBEE! BUMBLEBEE! BUMBLE-FRICKIN'-BEE! ... Ummm, Shockwave'd be nice too.
18. Do those juggles work? I don't remember Scorpion able to throw his harpoon upwards diagonally. 354482 *shrugs* The only juggle I ever learned was MK1's "uppercut in a corner, weak punch as fast as possible" move. Cheapest victory ever. And if you were playing 2-player, you deserved every bruise you got while doing it.
19. Damm, that's a lot of work. Yeah, but Scorpion used the cheap MK juggles. Ryu's just lucky he didn't get caught in a corner. WEAK PUNCH INFINITE JUGGLE!
20. Y'all are great, except for the tiny problem of Y chromosomes.
21. All seconded. Except I'd rather shoot tiny metal balls from my overglorified toys than yellow foam balls. I'm old-fashioned that way.
22. 99.9% of that is in game animation/graphics, if you notice, the hug part is part of Sakura's grapple and Ryu grapple moves, the frames were edit to make make it "sync". very impressive. very time consuming 354007 Can't you just use the sprites from the rom? 354049 They undoubtedly DID use sprite rips(though CPS2 ROMs are encrypted, SFAlpha whatever's been cracked for some time). It's still a pain in the butt, though. And they probably had to do some hand-editing of the sprites to make 'em fit right.
23. 6 and 7 rekindle my urge to kill the creators of a certain notably bad pair of "science" terror movies. The thread title itself rekindles my urge to go play Afterlife again.
24. Some men like small breasts. Personally, I feel that anything more than you can cup in one hand is a waste. It also lets you correct it if you accidentally crank 'em up too far. Past a certain point, they cease being attractive and just become scary, regardless of your tastes. And another congrats.
25. He did it almost 2 decades ago. And it made him very wealthy(that wealth is what made his current political power possible). He didn't know he was gonna become el presidente.
