They captured UN ships and reverse-engineered them(or pulled blueprints from captured manufacturing facilities), customized the designs, then(and here's the kicker) manufactured their own custom versions. Sort of like how you can buy a Mustang and a Mustang Cobra. Except in this case the Cobra was designed by a 3rd party that Ford failed to sue.

Definitely gotta give Big G respect. And speaking of robot lions... Voltron needs some love. Sure it wasn't the greatest show ever, but ... robot lions! C'mon! -

Probably as soon as you let him finish his song. -

LISTEN TO MY SONG! -
If it doesn't have an ass-blaster, it's not worth owning.

Of course, the Varuta designs were upgraded with some degree of protoculture technology. The humans didn't have anything remotely like a spiritia-draining gun until after they captured and reverse-engineered their version. So the Varuta wind up being a hybrid of human and PC tech, though tending towards the human side if their "bootleg VF" mecha designs are any indication. ... Of course, humanity seem to have gotten the hang of overtechnology pretty fast, so their hardware may be comparable to pure PC tech in several respects, and seems to actually be superior in some cases(the zentradi were shocked and awed by the concept of a barrier system, for example). They could just be taking the best aspects of both sides.

Honestly, I don't even remember the whole "OMG PRIME'S DEAD" thing. He's an easy target, though. I COULD have Bumblebee begging for the Matrix, but there'd be no point. There's a context to Hot Rod. Especially with the "Hot Rodimus" label on the package. As fara as being victimized by Starscream... I got them both at the same time. I DID leave out the part where Starscream was trying to blast Prime and Hot Rod was running in to tackle him. Sorta like the movie, only he wasn't totally outclassed. But it wasn't very amusing. The best part of it was Starscream, mainly due to the scale diffrence. Current battles = Classic Prime and Megatron. Prime's dodging Meggie's cannon, and ready for a counterblast. Cybertron Swerve and Scrapmetal locked in a duel, with Classic Bumblebee ready to blast Scrapmetal from an overhang(having a hell of a lot more fun with Powermaster Prime's rifles on Bumblebee than I ever did with PM Prime himself). Cybertron Unicron ripping Alternator Rollbar a new one while Alternator Ricochet shoots Unicron in the awkwardly large and heavy back. To little effect. Dark gods of destruction simply don't fall to a single laser cannon. Alternator Shockwave dangling Gen2 Bumblebee off a shelf while he and Alternator Jazz(excuse me, "Meister") threaten each other. But Jazz is actually just a distraction for Alternator Mirage, who stands on another shelf, ready to leap out, blast Shockwave, and save Bumblebee before he can fall to his doom. Because Mirage is just that cool. Classic Starscream is kicking Hot Rod's ass. They aren't very far from Cybertron Prime, so it's possible that Starscream was planning a Matrix theft and Hot Rod tried to stop him. If so, Starscream hasn't stopped to think about scale diffrences yet. I really oughta move Unicron over to Cybetron Prime. Right now he's flashing his Matrix for no good reason. But scale diffrences make that one difficult. Heh. -

Indeed... following Prime's Matrix tease, he got beat down by Starscream. Right now he's on his back with a gun in his face and a foot in his stomach... well, sort of. Classic Starscream isn't the best-articulated toy in the world. -
Without watching it, I'd bet the song is closer to "Gundam vwee." I think it predates GWing, for one. I was actually sort of wondering why I hadn't heard about Space Gundam V in a while. Nice to see it's not forgotten.

And I've found myself lately wishing I had a GameBoy Player. ... And a DS, but not as a GBA replacement.

And if you hate him, there's oh so very many ways to humiliate him with the new articulated toys. -

I haven't see Mac2 in quite some time, so I can only really comment on 7. But I enjoyed 7, for what it was. It's not a show I'm gonna watch again in all probability, but it was an interesting take on things. I thought it's biggest faults were the cardboard cutout lead character and the fact that the entire thing goes to hell after Operation Stargazer(though OS itself is the high point of the entire series. Max kicks ass.) -
That happened some time back. Bandai's just taking their sweet time with it.

Oh yeah, they're great compositions. They're just hampered by the system.

And while inconceivable even a year ago, it's possible the PS2 version will be translated. Atlus already HAS most of the translation, they just have to be able to justify the cost of the release. GBA versions have the portability advantage, though. And minimal load times. And OG1, at least, has an encyclopedic manual that tells you much of what the game assumes you already know from 2 decades of J-exclusive games. They also have sucky sound, though that isn't really their fault(the GBA sound hardware is complete crap).

Ah. Could've just changed the extension on the tmp, if I had to bet. I think it was a GIF originally, but Im not sure. Either way, you got it out, and that's the important part.

If you saved the page, the image is sitting unprotected in a directory with the name of the HTML file. He employed a few "cute" tricks with his pages that provided minimal deterrent and signifigant annoyance. Heck, worse comes to worst, you can just print-screen the page and paste it into Paint or something. There's really no effective way to stop someone from "stealing" images off your site. If they can be viewed, they can be "stolen."

I haven't. But really, they're Micromasters. I don't see how it matters. -
I feel that way about most of the monster threads. Past a certain point, they cease to be useful except as "chatrooms."

Yah. He's darn spiffy. I debated it for a bit because of the price tag(I'm cheap, what can I say), but he's just too neat. The big thing was the face. I didn't know there was a flip-up faceplate for a while, and he looks stupid with a mouth. As-is, I just wish he could grab the Matrix with both hands at once. Almost full. The matrix chamber can't be opened while combined with Wing Saber or the "trailer." I wanted to do a super-mode Matrix pose is the only reason I mention it. Cybertron Prime's US instructions actually put the wings pointing down, even though everyone else has them angled up(including Hasbro's photographer). Both versions have their ups and downs.
