  1. Chekhov's Guns is usually the most dangerous shop in town.
  2. Nope. One of the colony planets was accidentally discovered by a single scotsman when the fold drive on his delivery shuttle malfunctioned. The entire planet of McDonald was named in his honor.
  3. Or they could get the rights to all 3 and make Bionic Six an explicit canon sequel instead of a heavily-implied we-can't-legally-say-it sequel.
  4. That does look quite lovely, gray tail aside. I wound up with Gigapower's Grassor, and with the in-box smoked plastic bits it scratches my Slag itch, aside from not having ports to mount the missile launcher on his shoulder or a hinged bib. For a full set of dinobots, GCreation looks like my road. You need a LOT of space for a full set of Gigapower dinos, and I don't love the team THAT much. Really, there's multiple good options for Dinobots.
  5. I'm waiting for Bungie to get out of this deal and get bought by Nintendo so they can complete the "owned by all the hardware companies" achievement.
  6. This seems to largely be an unavoidable side effect of the cover plates on top of the lion legs. To get the cylindrical look of the cartoon, the plates would have to cut through the space where the legs exist. And to fully enclose the legs, the top of the lion has to extend out farther than usual to create a "fender". It still HAS curves, but they aren't nearly as pronounced, and the plates aren't helping matters. It would do a lot if the green plates were styled appreciably different to the red plates.
  7. Same. But I love their look. In general, I really want toys that look like the originals but bend like the new ones.
  8. You can't deny that's a sexy beastbot.
  9. With the way they use missiles in Macross? Ammo. Lots of ammo.
  10. Jesus! Can they really show that kind of explicit content on TV in Japan?
  11. Toy accuracy gang unite! Matchbox/Popy style or bust!
  12. Question : do zentradi ships have anything analogous to catapults, or do their mechs just burn reaction mass to get moving towards their targets? Probably should, but that's a really long drive. And what if the next galaxy's got their own terminally-irresponsible previous residents? Or worse, teminally-irresponsible CURRENT residents!
  13. It is also worth noting that the ship was not originally an aircraft carrier. There's a reason a full third of its length is seemingly dedicated to a giant eff-off cannon.
  14. Negative. It was just a small class of ship. We as viewers know with certainty that the crew were giants from the massive airlock when Hikaru and Minmay were trapped in the ship's unremodelled innards. Focker's statements in the first battle that he knew the aliens were giants, but not that they were human, implies this as well, since all humanity's knowledge of extraterrestrial life came from the ASS-1. It therefore had to contain evidence of giants, such as oversized doors and chairs and equipment. (It actually seems unlikely they wouldn't know the aliens were human, but this information was likely only shared at the highest levels. )
  15. I'm no stranger to off-topic. It just threw me, that's all.
  16. There are definitely some visible similarities, but it could easily be parallel evolution rather than evidence of relation. Or, in light of current continuity, they could both be based on the same form of vajra. But that's just speculation.
  17. Gerbils and squirrels? My dog's gonna grand cannon this mess if you ain't careful.
  18. It could easily be that the protoculture initially thought that zentradi infantry was a good idea and changed their minds in favor of all-mechanized after the size decision was "set in stone".
  19. In fairness, I'd put less weight on the YF-29 part of that equation and more on the Max part. He could outfly them in a literal cardboard box.
  20. I like the way you think!
  21. Eden 3: Eden 1, But Less Ragweed.
  22. Dear Microsoft: Excellent. Now remake Rock&Roll Racing. You can afford to license the music.
  23. And then a toy-style chest plate! Seriously, the chest plate is the most jarring part to me. But that's also a harder part to swap without explicitly considering partswapping in the design.
