  1. Still waiting for the North America games list. The japanese one has both Lunars!
  2. Yeah, it's a very early FamiCom title, and they were kinda all like that. It took a bit of time for the library to start looking like the Nintendo we remember. The western market missed the first generation of games, so the pirate multicarts are always a surprise to people.
  3. Macross DYRL: secretly the first harem anime.
  4. This is my headcanon now. Robotnik teamed up with Galvatron.
  5. He gets magically girlified in SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy. He's not happy about it.
  6. I keep thinking something interesting has happened in this thread, and it keeps just being a single JPEG lifted from fecesbook.
  7. The bugs, of course, being themselves a DIFFERENT course correction when a multi-episode plot thread leading to a military coup by Starfleet was vetoed. Surprised they didn't just completely abandon it and leave the thread dangling, honestly. Guinan being terribly mysterious, but implied very powerful, winds up being hinted a few times. First example I can think of is Yesterday's Enterprise. She was the only person who recognized that history had changed, which shouldn't be possible. My first instinct is just that she can similarly perceive Q's futzing with the fabric of reality, and his actual actions being perceivable instead of just "my will is writ upon reality" unnerves him. ... Though to my recollection, her response to Q was never tempered by knowledge of his power. She simply did not care he was Q, and that implies an ability to counter him in some way(or a complete disregard for her life). I admit to being curious what they'd planned for her, but it is probably best left nebulous and undefined. Far more interesting.
  8. I've never used the emoticons, and intend to continue as I have. That said, the thread bump animation makes me grin every time.
  9. Man, if Starscream can't outfly a Nighthawk he DESERVES to get trashed. I don't really understand why Megatron keeps getting reinvented as a stealth bomber. It seems off-brand for him to be stealthy.
  10. Does the stunt involve them improving quality control? Because I can't be the only person that wanted some of their products but thought it was far too much to pay for a dice roll.
  11. "But you don't have to take my word for it!"
  12. I mean, it WAS amazing, but not for ANY of the reasons they intended. It was amazing in the same way a train crashing into a swimming pool is amazing. You can't stop looking, and you can't stop wondering how this happened either. Alas, we will never see the gripping conclusion to the epic saga of Sad Dana.
  13. I'll say it'd be very interesting. It'd be a planet-sized Death Blossom!
  14. And they've done a SPECTACULAR job at rebooting it. They really need to check if it is plugged in instead of just mashing ctrl-alt-del repeatedly.
  15. Sadly, this seems unlikely. Diaclone 2 is sticking to the sci-fi aesthetic and avoiding too much Transformers overlap. I'm honestly surprised they did Battle Convoy, but it came out VERY different than the Optimus Prime we know and love.
  16. Apropos of nothing, but I saw a picture of the G1 Ironhide toy with a bunch of Diaclone figures on it, and it really does make it look a lot more fun and less, ummm, drunkenly inept. Amazing the difference it makes when a toy has ALL its accessories.
  17. Holy poopsticks. II, +, Δ, F, and 7 ALL announced for release in one weekend? I really didn't expect FIVE Macross shows to all be announced at once in my most optimistic dreams. Does this include the Frontier and Delta movies?
  18. If they decide to pull a third drink from the same well, I do hope they go for a more explicit homage. Though ultimately I feel the mold cuts a bit too heroic an outline to really fly as Cy-Kill, it was a neat tip of the hat to that other line of robots in disguise. ... Or perhaps just too goofy an outline, depending on configuration.
  19. I don't know that this is really the right place, but it was brought to my attention that the modern Diaclone line has homages to some non-Diaclone toys... and that one of them is Machine Robo's Bike Robo. I'm going to make the argument that Diaclone Trirambler is an unlicensed third-party Cy-Kill, and this is appropriate for the thread. Mine is the "D-Caliber" repaint. The original seems to have had black where mine has blue, and blue where mine has red on the legs. It's a very teched-up sci-fi reimagining, but in bike mode it's very clearly Cy-Killing it. (There is an alternate transformation where the shoulders hinge down and the arms extend straight forward, but why would you want to do that?) Robot mode is much less directly evocative, but that seems par for the course(find pics of the new Battle Convoy for a weird mirror-universe Optimus Prime). Lots of features that homage the original, but still doing its own thing. The amber visor on the head is inspired by the original's headlight, the wheel-jetpack is a more "practical" version of wheeled shoulders, there's two small yellow bits next to a larger yellow bit in the chest(albeit the larger bit's a cockpit)... and so on. There's also a lot of alternate configurations that I do TakaraTomy a disservice by not mentioning, but they're irrelevant to my thesis.
  20. As someone who only ever had (parts of) G2 Devastator, Tonkanator really speaks to me.
