  1. I haven't played Deedlit yet, but I've sunk a bunch of time into the dev's previous Metroid-em-up, Touhou Luna Nights. Sounds like Deedlit's very similar. I consider that a good thing.
  2. Stolen Valor case. Mark my words.
  3. It seems quite likely that the recent mega-licensing announcement train will see new disk releases of most of the franchise, though I don't think anything's set in stone yet. I personally, am looking forward to adding a few BluRays to my shelves once it happens. It is worth noting, however, that several Macross shows have already had home video releases in the west. SDF Macross, Macross II, and western fan-favorite Macross Plus have all seen release on DVD in the past. These disks, though all out of print, should be fairly easy to find today. And though it never made the leap to digital video, the golden child DYRL saw multiple releases in the days of video tape. Most of these were licensed before Harmony Gold "realized" they "owned rights" to the entire franchise in the early 2000s anime boom. SDF Macross(the only show they ever had legitimate rights to, and everybody knew it) was actually sublicensed by Harmony Gold to two other companies.
  4. And we all GREATLY appreciate that they aren't just winging it, Apollo 1-style. We're goin' back to the moon, and NOT killing anyone to get there. Just... it's been a long wait, and these latest delays are frustrating. Especially since there's a very aggressive schedule for Artemis 2's manned lunar flyby in 2024 and Artemis 3's return to the lunar surface in 2025... and this schedule hinges on ACTUALLY LAUNCHING ARTEMIS 1 AT SOME POINT. (It was honestly doubtful for a while that they were going to keep this schedule, but... hope springs eternal.)
  5. "Acme 0/0 ejection seat! 100% guaranteed! Not for use in Roadrunner accidents"
  6. Aaaaand delayed again. Launch windows on September second and fifth, and if they can't make either of those, the rocket's gotta go back to the vehicle assembly building again.
  7. Moonshot hype! Don't falter now, we can't keep pushing this launch back. My heart can't take it!
  8. Hopefully the inertia storage systems are still online.
  9. On the other hand, riding the jet into a mountain is also upsettingly lethal. Goose wasn't any worse off. An ejection seat is a chance at survival. I can't, Mav, I'm dead!
  10. Further proof that the B-52 will never retire.
  11. He can still build the Ent-D as she appeared in the end of Generations!
  12. I know some states require toy guns to be brightly-colored all over, yeah. And no one wants G2-colors Gun Megatron.
  13. US toy laws are wildly overprotective because you can get anything passed by saying "think of the children". And I may be the minority, but I want another Nerf Classics Megatron.
  14. Maybe they'll cast someone who looks like Robotnik this time.
  15. Much nicer than another Optibotimus.
  16. I'm mostly disappointed that the Matrix is just there in the lens instead of behind the aperture. That'd be a cool reveal if the aperture iris'ed open and BAM! Matrix!
  17. Protoculture: "Let's make this planet into an artificial iceball so it is useless and future generations know to stay away and not mess with it!" Future generations: "Dude, this planet's an artificial iceball! Let's go there and mess with it to find out why!"
  18. I think that's always going to be the big problem with Counter/Punch. The animated appearances of the character are all pretty toy-accurate, and "the market" seems to vastly prefer upgraded rehashes of the original toys and slavish recreations of the cartoons over a less-faithful reimagining. I fudged it a bit with the Primes Counter/Punch. I peg the "prime armor" fist into the peghole on the "inactive" chest and declared it a jetpack, so whichever side isn't currently "live" is partially obscured. It is a suboptimal solution, but it's the best I've got.
