And that's awesome, but grinding is horrible beyond all comprehension if you focus on it. By the time you have the gun, you will hate it's very existence.
-
I strongly recommend against focusing on that goal. Just play as you like, and it'll unlock naturally at some point. My general rule for "kill x, get y" quests.

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0

It's a "parody" because it took the standard cliches and dragged them to comedy through exaggeration or just haphazard implementation. Which is to say it was terribly written, but that kind of terrible that becomes funny. This discussion is all part of L-Elf's plan. -
Welp, I've rerolled JaneBob, the mighty huntress. And I'm still annoyed that Destiny doesn't let me ACTUALLY name my character. Not that JaneBob is a GOOD character name, but gosh darn it, it's MY character name.

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0

Aww, man. I LOVED Valvrave. Not for any of the intended reasons, mind you. It's a classic example of "so bad it's good." The thing came off as a masterful parody, and the fact that I'm pretty sure I was supposed to be taking it seriously just made it funnier. Haru x L-Elf OTP! Bitter x sweet 4 lyfe! As far as Unlimited Blade Works goes... I have very mixed feelings about it. As a Fate/ fanwank, it's wonderful to see all those badass scenes animated. And I admit I loved it for that. But as a general viewing product... it's kind of a storytelling trainwreck. They threw in all the cool scenes and skipped over anything that didn't look cool. It's a very incomplete tale, and simply assumes you've already read the game so it doesn't need to explain how we're getting from A to B to C. This makes me unable to really put a score on it, as I have two very different opinions of it. And Fate/Zero? Any scene that Rider/Zero wasn't in was a complete waste of my time. And that's why I dropped it before the halfway point. -

I digitally preordered online for a digital copy wrapped in a shiny box fulla cool things. Because I like shiny boxes more than I dislike waiting. It's currently somewhere between Missouri and here in a digitally-powered truck. I should have it at some point wednesday.

That's Frenzy... I mean Rumble... I mean one of Soundwave's cassettes rockin' out to Blaster's phat beats. Space Brick actually looks neat. I admit this. But not a hundred and fifty dollars of neat.- 16830 replies

You could also get a GameBoy Advance or compatible platform and play FireRed/LeafGreen, which were heavily updated versions of the original duo, if you just wanna get your bulbasaur on. The DS had HeartGold and SoulSilver as remakes of, yes, Gold and Silver.

Ultra Magnus was disassembled. Prime suffered component damage. It's the difference between popping a balljoint out and crushing the chestplate. You can repair one easily enough, but the other's usually a lost cause if you can't find a donor part. JEEZ, PEOPLE. I have to admit, Space Brick is growing on me. I think seeing the shots of the various different submodes did it. I respect the engineering to build all of that in. Especially once you get down to the little Brainmaster dude. Now why doesn't Magnus get Albino Prime mode, other than he's already been released that way without the armor a dozen times? And more importantly... when does Blaster get an MP? Soundwave is too mainstream.- 16830 replies

It's not a garden satellite, though. By all appearances, the surface is still dead.

If I recall, they actually kept Volition intact, with most of the employees. Which is notably strange in these deals. Occasionally someone recognizes they have a team of creative talent and not monkeys banging on typewriters. So no, it's not like Maxis or Atari.

It would make more sense if they said the Traveller made THE MOON into a garden world, though. But the Moon is still the Moon in Destiny. Magnificent desolation and all that. Gotta preserve it for future generations, I guess.

Which still makes me laugh every time I see it. I know Venus is cliche, but that's because it's a cliche that WORKS.

Anime on Blu-ray in NA (GitS, Bebop, Mononoke)
JB0 replied to Mr March's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Well, yes. But we needed that storage space for things. 6x the pixels + lossless audio, specifically. Just like it was a bad idea to cram eight hours of video onto a DVD(though it could be done), it's a bad idea to cram eight hours of HD video onto a BluRay disk.- 123 replies

It's highly unlikely, to be charitable. You have to explain why everything is still in orbit(as any planet-cracking impact would've greatly disrupted that orbit), and why it didn't recoalesce. Especially with Ceres being a third of the mass of the asteroid belt. If there was ever enough mass to FORM a planet, there should have been enough mass there to REform a planet. It's almost certain that Jupiter's influence prevented Ceres from absorbing the rest of the asteroid belt, and still does today.
