  1. So here's a thought... What if they take the original movie/comic ending, where the major winds up in a new, startlingly different body... and in this version she winds up in the body of an asian female?
  2. No. The library pseudo-directory is only populated with files that are present at present. No. The library function doesn't do any syncing or deduplication. It just provides a common access point for all your pictures that are currently available to the system. I'm sure there is a good way to do this, but I don't know what it is offhand. Unfortunately, the library function isn't going to be useful for this purpose.
  3. Truthfully? 90s first-person shooter Shogo: Mobile Armor Division was my muse for that last sentence. It took an act of will not to start reworking game text into something plausibly Delta-sounding.
  4. So I headed out with someone earlier for a quick run to the local MalWart and checked the plastic robot aisle to remind myself that nothing good ever happens. ... They had ONE Sky Lynx on the shelf. As I fell in love with the original the moment I first laid eyes on the box(let's be honest, he's a ROBOT DINOSAUR SPACE SHUTTLE and it doesn't get cooler than that), I am pleased as punch right now. He actually makes a surprisingly good space shuttle, all things considered. Sure he's teched up in ways that don't make a lot of sense, and there's a big blue cargo pallet hanging off the bottom, but... whatever, robot dinosaur space shuttle. The overall shuttle proportions really owe as much to the Concorde as the STS Orbiter, but in a weird way that WORKS. Sky Lynx's neck joint lets him tip the cockpit down to simulate a Concorde landing. It actually works really well. Again, aside from the blg cargo pallet on the underside. Incidentally, the big blue cargo pallet could use a couple of panels to close it up and give it structure in robot mode. It's very skeletal. In conclusion: 10/10, would buy again. But America deserves a leader robot dinosaur space shuttle. Vote Sky Linx for president.
  5. Aww, no Qix or Space Dungeon in the Taito collection. Volfied is a good Qix-em-up, though.
  6. Oh, if they make one, I'm in for a Pathfinder too. She was an awesome take on the typical flying saucer.
  7. I want drilltank and Snoop, because they have vehicle modes that speak to me. And CyKill. He's one of the bots on my childhood wanted-but-unowned list.
  8. That is definitely smaller than I'd like for that price, but it isn't an immediate dealbreaker.
  9. Certain aspects of the animation. The floating chalk drawings, and Freyja finger-gunning the screen seem clear homages.
  10. Might be hard to tell just by looking. Freyja's physique is pretty darn malleable, if her facial expressions are anything to go by.
  11. You are the second person in thread to say that. And I'll be the third now, because that was what I was thinking too. Also herbivores. Most animals get pretty violent sometimes.
  12. You know, that was the FIRST step along the dark and heartbreaking trail of Parasite Eve 3. Hard to believe it got WORSE after they changed to "real videogame hardware".
  13. Bike Robo and Eagle Robo. Because in the proud tradition of lazy cartoon robot names, Machine Robo is the absolute bottom of the barrel. Makes Hook and Cy-Kill look like the works of a true genius.
  14. Particularly if you come at it from the comics version, where her background is vague enough that we don't even know her birth name, much less her original face. And there's the rub. Johannson isn't inherently a problem, but Hollywood has a proud history of jacking up an easy win.
  15. It is all about the drilltank. Is it just me, or does their Leader-1 look kinda goofy? Like he forgot his pants or something.
  16. Aaaaaactually, removing grain without destroying fine detail is very difficult. And removing blur that was introduced with the original photography isn't much better. That is how I feel about it. Give us the movie as it is, not as someone separated from it by a few decades wishes it was.
  17. Or the Enterprise-B. I have a soft spot for the Excelsior design, and she deserves to be seen as more than just the ship that killed Kirk.
  18. I don't know if I should be glad to see more Valk Profile, or annoyed they're doing an origins prequel(which is usually an excuse to do something really stupid).
  19. It looks like they have an entire decade's worth of asian roles in Hollywood. Either in response to complaints they were whitewashing the major, or because they always intended to, they have managed to avoid whitewashing the cast. And based on the one single still image, Johansson makes a good Major(and as I said before, the Major's one of the few characters you can reasonably justify whitewashing).
  20. Wait, they're making another Batman movie? I'm shocked, given how little money he's brought in over the years. Do they just love throwing money away? Okay, turning down the sarcasm. Who is actually surprised they're doing another Batman movie? I'm surprised they let Dark Knight Rises close out a Batman.
  21. Moral of the story: All the technology in the galaxy can't improve on a perfect mechanism.
