  1. It's an experience. My son has been sleeping with that Joon since I gave it to him this past Saturday. He's got to be one of the few 6 year olds I know that knows the old school Transformers theme song by heart. We sit in my office and watch the old episodes on Youtube. He now mumbles the Macross theme song in Japanese until he gets to "WILL YOU LOVE ME TO-MORROW!". I try to skip the opening of each episode, but he has to hear it as flies that damn Joon around the room. Then he'll demand that I stop it so he can transorm to "Girl-Walk". It's funny and enjoybable to watch all bundled up in one. We'll watch Robotech once we finish the Macross series.
  2. My latest items received. A pair of Roy's VF-1S's. The first fighter of which I have a second of.
  3. Frick all that! How much for that Stealth YF-19???
  4. BUI...Bidding Under the Influence...guilty as charged!
  5. I'm with you all the way V-Squared. It's certainly not a race. I believe you speak for most when you say we're shooting to complete our collections. I doubt we'll ever do it, but it is the main goal. At this stage in the game, I don't think I will ever be able to purchase multiple Super & Strike parts for my Valkyries or more than one of each type. When I see yours and other guys collections I'm inspired and I think to myself "Oh, I have got to add that to mine!" is what I meant by the competition part of it. Outdo was the wrong terminology, as I share my collection here because I know you guys are the only ones who can appreciate it as I do. It is ironic that we have been after the same stuff as of late. I've been very fortunate in finding some great deals. 3 or a $1000??? Ouch! I have a few more items coming in the weeks to come. If all goes well, we'll all be celebrating the arrival of the YF-21 next month.
  6. Thanks misterryno, and I swear I'm just trying to play catch up man. Once I find a display shelf it'll be cool. My son is running through his transformers collection like I did as a kid. But he mimicks everyting I do. Once he sees me displaying my toys he will want to do the same; or at least that's what I am hoping. He's been watching the Macross series with me while playing with one of his Transformers in a pretend "Gerwalk" mode. He pulls the legs of his Excillion autobot to simulate Gerwalk. I gave him my Joon to play with while we watch the cartoons and he thinks it's the coolest thing since sliced bread.
  7. Deuce V, thanks man. More stuff is on the way, but rest assured, I can not compete with you or most members for that matter. I know it's not about that as we can appeciate one Valk from a memeber or 1,000. I think we would be kidding ourselves though if there was not a little friendly competition to outdo one another. Anywho, I'll get an updated pic with everthing I been able to pick up. My 1/60's sold on Ebay over the weekend, so they no longer count. Pics coming once everything has made it.
  8. All play aside, I have made purchases under the influence...I'm Macross Man...and I'm an Alco-I-Mean Valk-O-holic! I promise I was okay with shelling out over $500 for that weathered Roy last night. Devine intervention played a part in my not getting him I think. Because the astronomical prices are starting to become funny. Even if they might be justified for a certified "exclusive" piece.
  9. Thanks Miriya. Jenius was kind of enough to part with the pair. I have to believe he has more than one set to let this pair go. As far as pricing goes, I'll say it was a fair deal. Check out his website. I'm assuming all the toys that he reviews belongs to him. He's a cool reasonable guy. Hit him up. He might have a Max he's willing to part with.
  10. Holy bull-ankle sandwiches and collard greens! Bidding is up to $490.00!!! Unbelieveable! This is actually starting to get a little funny to see just how far people are willing to go for these! Must be the shot glass that comes with it.
  11. Got to agree with you Jenius. I don't understand the gripe either. If you want it and you're willing to shell the extra bucks, then go for it. If you want to play wait out beat out , then do that. It is what it is ya know? Just go with the flow and it will be what it's going to be. Period.
  12. Exactly!
  13. Wow! You mean you would have actually done that for the members here? I think that's awesome. I'm still pretty much clueless around these parts and had no idea about the wonder fest or that the weathered Roy would be available there. I for one, had I been in the know, would have taken you up on that offer and had you pick me up at least three. If there are guys here who knew they could have gotten it through you and are now griping about those going for sky high prices on Ebay, then I say shame on them.
  14. And they're off! Bidding up to $355.00 now. I'm too new to collecting so I have no idea how all the "exclusive" and "limited edition" release stuff pans out. On one hand I want to jump at this thing, and on the other hand my practical side is telling me to play wait out beat out. My gut tells me that they will eventually produce a run of this fighter and it will be available. Roy's too popular for Yamato not to. I hope I'm right. Otherwise those who want it, myself included, may as well bend over while bidding to get one.
  15. Awesome display and collection! Where did the display cabinet come from?
  16. Sweet! What are your fighters displayed on? Is that an aircraft carrier? Where did those little men come from? Would love to set something up similar to this. Thanks for sharing!
  17. You got that right!
  18. Nothing sissified ! Let's be clear on that. Sell a left kidney? Maybe...
  19. I don't think they're really worth the $500.00 buyers are willing to pay for them. It's simply the priciple of supply and demand for the moment. I really believe that when they are more pleniful the price will drop. If they continue to be hard to come by, the price will continue to go up. Right now, I just want one and depending on how much I have had to drink while Ebaying, I just might pay an astronomical price...but man what I wouldn't do for the shot glass!!!
  20. You know???? Gotta lay off the spirits though. The one I was bidding on did end at $456.00 . http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...A:IT&ih=015
  21. Yep, I put a last minute bid in for $451.00 and it told me I needed to enter at least $456.00. By the time I was able to enter my bid it showed the bidding had ended at $456.00. Interesting to see the final selling price at $461.00. Kind of glad I didn't win it though. Gives me some room to play catch up. Hopefully it will eventually become more readily available. Would love to have one of those shot glasses though.
  22. Don't know if it has one eye, but it does have one horn and it does fly ! I sure hope the new 1/60 YF-21 isn't as dark as this one.
  23. MOTHER FOCKER!!! Sweet man, sweet!!!! And I just realized...8 ball side pocket...ha! Deuce V you've got to be unhitched my man! Awesome grabs!
  24. I totally agree. At least make it clear that cheaper packaging methods will be used with the cheaper shipping rates. They have the best prices I have seen from overseas sellers and I will probably do business with them again, but will ask about packaging before completing the transaction. I would prefer my contents to be case fresh when they arrive; including manufacturers packaging.
