Yeah Vegas I was checking out your display earlier today and noticed this Valk. I had seen a couple before this and then that's when I thought to myself is there a "production" Max VF-1S I missed some where. But see what I'm talking about man??? You lucked up and got the luxury of buying one already done. Here this ole "Buck Nasty" Ballchinian is over here trying figure out how to modify and customize one on his one. Yeah, I'm hatin on ya bro...in a fun joking type of way! OO

Nah bro, I don't have the Max yet. I was looking at buying two of them, but it looks like the mod is more entailed than I envisioned and I'll need another Roy along with a Max. It looks like I might be dipping my stick into the world of customization; especially if it's just a matter of removing and re-attaching pieces to another bird. Hopefully it's not too difficult. I still have some rusty old masking and air brushing skills from my days of building and racing 1/10 scale 2WD electric buggies and trucks...sheesh that's been since 1994 when I last did that! Gotta have that Max VF-1S though! OO

Not proper. I thought it was just a matter of swapping the heads. I'm gonna have to watch DYRL tonight when the family goes to sleep.

Cool man! Let me know when you get yours and I will order one for myself. Sucks that I have to get Max VF-1A's though. I figure I've gotten this close to having them all that I may as well get him too. OO

I've done business with Toy-Wave and the transactions have gone extremely well. Just make sure you select the box option for shipping, otherwise less than ideal packaging methods will be used. Although somewhat crude, my items did make it in fine condition without the box. Some will swear by Toy-Wave and others have not had good experiences. It looks like things were rocky with them at one point. Their prices are by far the lowest I have seen on the net. Shipping isn't too bad either compared to other sellers. No import taxes and I am in Arkansas. Hope this helps.

I have to agree. I would like to have all variants of the 1/48's and I imagine there are other collectors who would like to see them. Anywho, how difficult is the head replacement mod? And I guess the next question is where do I get the head in its already painted ready to mount condition?

Damn, just when I thought I was finished with the 1/48's. So I'm assuming this is a custom where you just replace the head right? Yamato never sold this Max's DYRL VF-1S and only his VF-1A right?

Is there such a thing? I've seen at least a couple here. Are these customs where you guys just changed the heads? Is this cannon? I don't recall seeing this fighter in the TV series or DYRL... OO

Ahhh, the good life of a Ballchinian bachelor! It's my sincere belief that only a bachelor bad ass could get away with a display like that! Always knew you had an awesome collection man, but I'm really digging the whole set up with the TV and all. Gotta find some storage for all those boxes; they're blocking the view of some of the Macross madness you got going on in there. Kick ass display and collection. This year's convention should have a Macross "Player Haters Ball". I swear I'd be at the podium hatin' on your collection...all in good fun of course! I'd be like, "THAT DAMN VEGAS VALKYRIE MAKES ME SICK! ALWAYS SCORING GOOD GRABS AND $HIT! IF HE WASN'T IN VEGAS HIS LUCK WOULD BE JUST AS BAD AS THE REST OF OURS!!!" Ahh...the longer you wait the more jagged the pill is going to be to swallow. I've just bitten the bullet and said fluck it to get some of my collection. Like taking a shot; just turn your head, close your eyes and click buy! Initially stings, but the satisfaction of receiving the toy makes it all that much better. Besides that you don't look up and reailze it's gonig to take $1000 to catch up, or $400 in your case. I say go ahead and make the purchase bro! You won't regret it! OO

All the pics are greatly appreciated from you guys. Looking at them makes it just that more difficult on us guys waiting. Glad to see, or hear rather, that there have been no serious complaints. I didn't even care for this Valk and only purchased it because I had just gotten into the hobby and had to have anything to do with Macross. After seeing the pictures I have to agree with others that it looks like some of the best work Yamato has done to date. Also glad to hear that it is solid in fighter mode as I had planned on displaying mine in this mode. Other modes are just as fantastic so it's good to see that fighter mode isn't the only awesome way for it to be displayed. Come on China boat! Us guys stateside anxiously await your arrival!!! OO

Absolutely beautiful! But damn, those skulls on the tailfins are crooked! I'm still lusting for one! Is the clear stand included with the weathered Roy? OO

I am honestly impressed! And with me coming in on this release on the front end, I can guarantee that I will purchase each and every release and won't have to play catch up like I did with the 1/48 line. Very impressive indeed! Does anyone know if these will have full tampo printing or will there be some decaling to apply? OO

I concur! I almost cancelled my pre-order to finish off my 1/48 collection until I saw that this thing was finally being released today. Damnit, I hope they filled VE's order! OO
