  3. Thanks UN! I couldn't find this thread for shiggity and knew I had seen it before! OO
  4. Yeah, I peed the manual in Graham's review so I think I got the 21 covered, but the 19 is where I am stuck at now...
  5. I'm having the damnest time getting this thing displayed on the clear stand as well as the YF-19. Any help before everyone heads off to the Con would be most appreciated. OO
  6. Ha! 12+ a day?!? That's insane, but I believe you hold the record for most active memeber!
  7. "uncomfortably large". True that! OO
  8. Good analogy. I'm already out of scale so it doesn't matter to me. If anyone is just getting into the hobby, I would certainly say keep it scale with what's available today.
  9. The crew that loaded those beer boosters must have had one too many. They're backwards. Popping the top on those babies will fold your course in reverse! OO
  10. Ha! Put me down for 5 tickets! MM<---Fidgets hands and smiles like the Grinch! OO

    Latest custom.

Hard to improve the bad ass Super Stealth. Leave it to Kurt to pull off improving a true master piece. Pure unadulterated sweetness there! Just one question though...where is everyone getting their waterslide decals for their customs? I'm assuming these people were on the gravy train when they were still available??? OO
  14. It's a matter of personal taste and opinion. Scale matters if you want to have all your toys "in scale". The VF-1 fighters were smaller fighters in comparison to the VF-0 and SV-51 enemy fighter planes. I personally like the larger 1/48 scale VF-1 planes which are actually about the same size in scale to the 1/60 scale VF-0 fighters, but this puts my toys "out of scale". Again, it's all a matter of personal taste and how important it is for the person collecting to have all their toys in the same scale. Scale doesn't matter to me because I started collecting out of scale because the 1/48's were the best version of the VF-1 fighter available when I got into the hobby. If I was just getting into the hobby I would certainly buy everything "in scale" since the v2 1/60 scale VF-1 fighters are much better looking and more detailed than the v1 1/60 scale fighters. They appear to be "scaled down" versions of the 1/48 VF-1's without losing any details; if anything they look at little bit better in their different configurations compared to the 1/48's. You will get many answers on your question, but this is one many opinions you will see.
  15. If only that were true brother...if only that were true! OO
  16. Funny you ask. I just checked with my agent last week and was told these would be included in the "dwelling". I was told that our policy includes a percentage of the home's value that covers personal belongings. The only things that are enforced on limitations are like jewelry and furs. My agent did say if they are of a significant value that he suggested having them appraised. For us we have about $270K of coverage for contents so I think that should be plenty enough. I would check with your agent for details on your policy though.
  17. As cool as it would be, I just can't see Yamato doing it. Besides that, I'd like to see some 1/48's remain exclusive to the 1/48 line. I could 1/48 LV1 prices going through the roof if its not released in the v2 1/60. Kinda selfish of the Ballchinian don't ya think? OO
  18. About $7000.00 in a little over six months. Dis-skusting! OO
  19. Clustered or not, impressive nontheless. Please tell me they were only set up on that table for the photo shoot. Looks like too much going on in the background for those gems to be out in the open like that. OO
  20. Always been a fan of that VF-0A Sundowner...some of you dudes have been blessed with talent the rest of us can only imagine. I can only dream of doing to my toys what some of you guys here are able to do. As always, thanks for sharing! OO
  21. Damn, the more I see and read about the con the more I want to come. Lord willing and the creeks don't rise, you guys can rest assure I will be at next year's event! I'm bringing a boatload of cash to go on a toy shopping spree while at Frank & Sons too!
  22. Fat chance.
