  1. Thanks guys for the advice. My friend is leaving Japan tomorrow. He will give another try and see if he finds an Ozma or Fire Valkyrie. Even if he finds one, the Yen is so high that it will cost a lot more than buying it on Ebay.
  2. My friend in Japan could not find any Ozmas There are a few on Ebay but prices are too high. Anywhere else I can find Renewal Ozma? Will there be a second batch or reissue?
  3. I think US$150 is the right price for a Max or Milia reissue. These valks were the last made before Bandai stopped production of the Takatoku reissues. Not many were released so they are becoming rare.
  4. I am tempted. I am not a fan of Macross 7 but I still want to buy the main mecha of each Macross series. A friend of mine is in Japan right now and he will be back on January 30th. If he can not find the VF-25 Ozma, then the Fire Valkyrie is my other option.
  5. Missed Graham's post of this being a completed toy. If it's so, then price of the VF-4G will go to the roof. It could be the most expensive Yamato valk ever. Hope to see a non-assemble version for the new poor 2012 Macross collector. I can't believe I only bought one Yamato valk in 2011, the VF-1X. I used to buy 4 or 5 versions when prices were below US$200. Those days are now gone.
  6. Clever for Yamato to make the VF-4G exclusive and unassembled. The toy is too complex to mass-produce it completed. A lot of quality issues could arise. Instead of Yamato to take the rant, they are gonna let us have fun assembling this with a grayscale only-japanese booklet instruction. A teaser of how this toy could look completed (VF-4G by Studio Half Eye)
  7. I already missed the 1/60 Vf-1J and the GBP armor. They are no longer on the list
  8. There is no suspension schedule, just an option contact HLJ customer service for more info about the cancellation of my account. No response after a week. Time to create a new one I guess.
  9. I still can't get my HLJ account back. HLJ does not respond about the suspension (due to a non payment issue). Well, it saved me lots of money. I missed good deals but the new year is gonna bring new Macross goodies for sure.
  10. Damn it! I got my HLJ account suspended. I forgot to pay for an item and now can't get my account back. It's been 3 days already with no response from HLJ. Should I register a new account?
  11. That is a beautiful GT mountain bike. I also paid big bucks for my Ellsworth Moment five years ago.Still, you should get the new VF-25. It is worth every penny.
  12. I bet he thinks it looks chunky in battroid mode. But as he said, just a little. I guess if the VF-19 were taller, it would look less chunky.
  13. Same ball joints I think. Bandai has not improved anything on the joints, so sooner or later arms and legs will be wobbling.
  14. What are the chances of a renewal VF-27? The toy looks nice and Bandai fixed some issues of the old VF-25. But with the renewal version, I think the VF-27 could look even better, specially in battroid mode. Time to sell the old VF-27 before a new one is announced?
  15. I just got the renewal VF-25 and let me say, it is a beauty. Outstanding, looks like right out of the anime. One of the legs was very tight that I had to loosen the screw that holds the leg joint. Excessive force can certainly break the metal bar. You just need to be patient transforming this complex toy. Bandai finally delivers a Valkyrie that can compete with Yamato in quality an appereance.
  16. You are right. I nice collectable box with a plate or a big instructions book with some pictures of the anime would've been nice. Yamato should try to please the fans not only with a nice looking toy, but also with some good extras that justify the expensive price tag.
  17. I can't believe these valks are costing more than a PS3. Damn you Yamato for ruining my collection. No more 1/60 valks for me until they get cheaper at HLJ. But it will take a long time to see a VF-19 hopefully at US$180. That is the price I would pay for an excellent toy that is just made of cheap plastic.
  18. I forgot the "surfing Macross" scene, pathetic. It reminded me of a Megazord Power Ranger's attack.
  19. I watched the movie. It really sucks. Too many death-reborn scenes, confusing plot, stupid ending and not a single new song to rescue. I will stick to the TV series too, nice songs, drama, and a good ending.
  20. That picture looks like a toys store shelf from the 80s. Great memories. I could not afford a Takatoku in the 80s and it was even more expensive in the late 90s. Hopefully Bandai reissued most of the 1/55 line and now I am a happy camper. But still want to buy an original Takatoku Valkyrie. Nothing beats the great packaging and artwork of the 80s.
  21. Thank you, I could not miss this chance and ordered one. I paid a couple of extra bucks, but I could not wait for a later restock. At least it is much cheaper than the newer Yamato VFs.
  22. Ok then. I will wait until Christmas.
  23. Guys, do you think the VF-25 will be reissued in a couple of months? I passed the opportunity of pre-ordering this one and Ozma. The toy looks great and deserves a space in my cabinet. But I don't want to pay the over inflated prices on Ebay. I can wait a few months for a reissue or later pay a ridiculous price on Ebay. Get one now or regret later?
  24. WOW! US$284 not including shipping. That is absurd. The toy has nothing special. It is not a limited edition or has multiple accessories. As I said on a previous post, this is the end for me as far as collecting 1/60 valks, either from Yamato or Bandai.
