It appears they've done away with the frosty cockpit canopy and made this one clear.

I'd love to get one but at full MSRP (which is higher than the Delta VF-31s btw), plus Japanese sale tax (8%), plus reseller or proxy mark up, plus shipping will be too much for me.

Looks like the VF-31J Kai will be available via lottery sales on TWE after Tamashii Nation 2017, rather than the usual TWE pre-order system. That means it will be harder to get and re-sellers are going to enjoy marking up the price for the copies they are able to get their hands on. http://tamashii.jp/special/tamashii_nation/item05.html

That would break the pattern they have of including the Walkure partner in pilot suit. Since this is the second release of a Hayate plane, one specifically based on the final episode's version, it would be nice to have included Freya in the outfit she actually wore when she was in his plane during the episode. I wouldnt' mind a pilot figure of Hayate with Freya (in Walkure dress) molded on his lap either, for the accuracy/fine detail sticklers like you.

Bandai should have included a Walkure dress Freya pilot figure for the 31J Kai, to really complete the final episode look.
