That used to happen with pre-orders at Amiami previously, but this time, the page refreshed instantly and the item status was updated to sold out.

Amiami is still the winner for this pre-order. The damn thing went from "On sale soon" to "Sold out" straight after updating. I can't believe any human being could have put in an order within that split second.

Saw that too. Are people actually using bots to buy up DX valks? Sounds extreme but it seems to be the case, what with how fast these things sell out (10 sec or less).

It has been speculated that they jack up the price of later batches of pre-orders because they are buying up stock from other retailers. Since they buy the stock at retail and not wholesale prices, the higher cost is passed on to the consumer.

NY has 26 pcs as of this post. Not biting at the inflated price.

The last time a DX valk pre-order reopened on Amiami was for the Alto 171 EX back in 2012. If they really opened again for the 29 Ozma, it must have been for less than 5 sec, because that was the checking interval of my page scanner and it didn't pick up any update.

I saw the Add to Cart" button but was sold out by the time I got to my cart. At least it was over quickly and painlessly this time around. "Sold Out" before the clock was 1 min pass the hour. No refresh/slow loading anxiety for 5 min before we got to the inevitable.

This month's issue of Figure King.I don't recall Bandai ever officially indicating the renewal (YF-29 Alto and later) DX valks being 1/60 scale, even though we know they are meant to be.
