    Seriously? A debate about Macross mecha being better than MOSPEADA mecha? And then compare to Southern Cross? Ok, being an avid fan one one of those shows, and just a casual one at best of the other, I have my own opinions on how things would be if these things were real, but... Serisouly, all three of these shows existed in their own world. You can't say that the mecha in one are better than the mecha in another. Each show had its own rules about what a vehicle or mecha can do and can't, how missiles work, how vehicles get damaged... and all three are completely different. Just look at each show separately (or, in the case of this thread, look at Southern Cross separately), and the only mecha comparison you can make is whether, per your personal taste, you like a design or not.

    Also, there's one other small detail. I know we're collectors here and all, and adults... but let's face it, the Legioss just isn't fun to transform. The Tread is. A $10 Transformers Animated toy is fun. The $60 Legioss, while cool, just isn't fun.

    Sure. I'm still hoping for the Typhoon, not just the Hurricane, to be made, but doesn't look too likely.

    Ouch... I was hoping with those pictures that Kakinuma did a couple years back, and his professed interest in doing more stories, and Aramaki's gorgeous Animation Bikes book cover, with the MOSPEADA and Garland, that maybe SOMETHING... Plus, we now have Toynami, Aoshima, CMs, and Mega House all making toys. Could be the additional backing that was previously lacking.

    Roger, next time you're in a conversation with either of the two gentlemen, think you could ask about any new, 2009 possibility of seeing an updated MOSPEADA (like the Dread 2 and 2007 Legioss)?

    In regards to a lot of what you say, these are the reasons while MOSPEADAs are the only real military robotic mecha that ever made real-world sense to me.

    Knew about the Matchbox/Bandai thing, didn't know about Toynami being the distributor for Mega House though. Thanks. So, either way, it's not the Beagle, but the Mega House one.

    It's a brand new show, with Shinji Aramaki involved, who is kind of the variable bike guru, in addition to having directed Appleseed: Ex Machina and a bunch of OVAs. As for fan subbers, I hope it gets their attention soon, but I think it just premiered yesterday, the 6th, so that's probably why no one has subbed it yet.

    Thanks for posting those. Not much for good images of it out there. I agree with you on the Garland EX thing. This definitely looks more like Shinji Aramaki's Megazone stuff, especially the latter stuff that he did the mechanical designs for and co-directed.

    I really hope you're right (and appreciate the effort you're going to). It would be nice to have some sort of announcement from Toynami about this, either way. Has anyone actually contacted Toynami asking about this?
