  1. Sankaku Complex? Got a link? Edit: Nevermind, Googled it and found it. More Editing: Considering how EXTREMELY political the manga is, it seems only right to have that extend into the anime as well.
  2. Yeah, it's Poland. That's actually why I picked it up, since it's one of a handful of other languages I speak.
  3. I own Avalon, and like it a lot, but it's probably a little slow for a lot of people. Haven't listened to the podcast yet.
  4. I paid about $50 each, when you figure in shipping. Where did you find your's for cheaper? Most places I was seeing them selling for $50-60, plus shipping.
  5. I had similar comments above. My Shinobou is terrible. My Dark Stick is better, but still no fun. Just transformed it once, and now it goes on display. I haven't opened my Dark Ray yet. Basically, if I hadn't gotten all three of these in one package, I probably would've never bought another CMs ride armor after opening that first one. As it stands, I've decided to make myself feel better by saying I'll collect the black and white ride armors from CMs and Megahouse, but except for those, all my money will have to go for the Beagles/Toynami's. Absolutely cannot understand the appeal of CMs, other than a scale that matches lots of other action figures. Now I would definitely not buy the two-pack of green MOSPEADA soldiers for $50, or the Col. Johnathan figure, or any other CMs. The only thing I might still get is the Dark Legioss Drone.
  6. Thanks again. Got the torrents going right now... slowly... Now, I'm assuming there were never any toys of any of these, unlike with War Within?
  7. Thanks. That's the WWII series I meant. Unfortunately that site only shows covers, no interiors. I'll have to look for a bittorrent.
  8. As much as I love BSG, I thought this was an idiotic idea when I heard about it. About a month ago or so, on SciFi, they put up a few minutes (like 2 or 3, I think) clip from the first episode. It's probably still on there. It actually looks pretty good. Actually kind of looking forward to it.
  9. On a slightly different topic, does anyone know if they ever made any toys from the Transformers/GI Joe comic series that was set during World War II? Forget the name of it now (the different TF/GIJoe ones all kind of had interchangeable names, in my opinion), but it was the one with art by Jae Lee, whom I like, but, admittedly, he doesn't really do detailed mechanical drawings. As much as I love the futuristic designs, I love the older stuff too, like the WWII versions of the TFs, and that older one (again, I forget the name) with Prime as a steam engine... Also, anyone have images from those? Specifically, I've been trying to find the Bumblebee who transforms into a WWII motorcycle and sidecar.
  10. Nice, thanks. I actually looked for it on there after your previous post, but foolishly looked for "Mellowlink" and not "Merowlink." Now to decide if it's worth the cash... Once you add shipping, gets a little pricey. Thanks again.
  11. Yeah, this an Viper's Creed were the two shows I was really looking forward to, especially Viper's Creed. Interesting how they've turned out.
  12. I didn't realize you were in Tokyo. Nice. Do you happen to remember roughly how much you paid for it at the time? If I look around for one online, considering the rarity of it, but also the cr*ppy qualities you mentioned, how much would you figure it is worth paying for one? Thanks again.
  13. Wow. So the Aoshima really is 1/12th (if I remember correctly) scale? Looks huge.
  14. Atelier just makes figures, right, nothing transformable?
  15. Having just discovered Mellowlink, thanks to some advice (I think from you, yellowlightman, actually) to me in another thread, I have to ask: Where did you find that Mellowlink toy?
  16. Couple comments to add to what I wrote before, that I forgot to mention. As for Zillion, it really isn't a bad show, just each episode is sort of a separate fight. I'm just not into those. I really prefer shows where we have one large overall story that is being built up to. This really felt more like a 70s anime, and not late 80s. As for Starship Troopers, forgot to mention that it has a surprisingly good soundtrack, both themes and instrumentals, though it obviously has a late 80s sound to it too.
  17. Just watched Red Photon Zillion 1-9. Not as bad as I remembered it being from seeing a few episodes on VHS a few years back, but can't really recommend it. Just kind of random adventures, superficial characters, and in general the approach to the concept of war was a little... childish, I guess. Speaking of childish, it was kind of funny that the fan subber kept calling the White Knights the White Nuts. Episodes 1-9 were all I could find, though apparently there were a lot more, but it really left me with no desire to track down or waste time on watching the rest. Also just watched Starship Troopers 1-6 (I think that's all there was). Really good series; much better than I expected. It took things slowly, and only had a few separate moments of action, but they did a nice job of character development, and really focusing on the training and on the outside world, and not just battles. I would recommend this one to fans of realistic military anime. It's been a few years since I read the book, but this seemed much more true to the book than the movie was. Of course, having seen this anime, it seems like the movie was based on this anime, and not the book practically at all.
  18. Never heard of this before, but I just watched it. Wow. I thought it was fantastic.
  19. Have to say, I'm really looking forward to this, but, after a full night of downloading... my file is still at 0.0%! Can't wait to see this one, but bittorrent just isn't cooperating.
  20. Ok, I get what you're saying, I think, but haven't seen it myself. My CMs headlights do rotate the full 360, but the third side has, if I'm remembering correctly, some small red writing on it. My Megahouse hasn't come in yet, so I don't know what that has. Alex, do you (or anyone else) have a picture of the Megahouse ones rotated like you're describing?
  21. If I were watching this and I was about 10 (and not 33), I would SO want to be Kiva.
  22. From the description, sounds a little like Rainy Boy from MOSPEADA.
  23. Never heard of this, but just looked it up on Wikipedia and it sounds like a must watch to me. It says it is available for download on Bandai's site, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Time to fire up the old Bittorrent. Thanks for the advice on this one.
  24. I think we're all agreed that the profile in that image is Houquet (or Shinobou, but, seriously, how likely is that?). The only question, in my opinion, is whether or not that profile is actually what the secret item is going to be, or just an image they put up there as a placeholder.
