I guess that's a "no."

Just watched episode 12. This has been my absolute favorite series of the season, but I have to say that I actually thought the last one was pretty disappointing. Those are pretty much my only complaints for the whole series.

Sorry people, I promised to finally do a review of Prelude to the Shadow Chronicles, and I've spent the last month distracted with anime, work, kids, life... Anyone want me to get back to it and finish off reviewing the last few Robotech comics that I haven't covered yet, including Prelude to the Shadow Chronicles?

As I said, I don't have the MH to compare to yet, as it's been taking forever to get it shipped to me. The CMs I find to be insanely fidgety and tweaky, and nothing seems to hold in place as described or intended. The ONLY two things that CMs has going for it are, in my personal opinion, the 1/18th scale, which makes it look nice on display next to my other 1/18th motorcycle and mecha toys, and the extensiveness of the line (Col. Johnathan, generic green soldiers, various colors, clears, etc., not to mention the Dark Drone). All of the above is why I really wish that Yamato would have made a MOSPEADA. I know there are people on these boards who dislike them, but I have 2 different MZ 23 Garlands and 1 BGC Moto-slave, and they are all fun to play with, as well as having fantastic posability for displaying, and they hold their poses. I have the Toynami release of the Beagle and LOVE it, but know it is unlikely that we will ever have the number of variants offered by the competition, or at least will take a very long time. The Beagle is fun though, and solid. I display it, allow my son to play with it. It's both a toy and a display piece. Sadly, the cheaper offerings are only display pieces. Still would love Yamato to have taken a stab at it.

Still waiting for my all-black Megahouse Yellow to come in but, having gotten all three black-and-white CMs variants, I can't believe that Megahouse could be any worse than the CMs. They're just TERRIBLE, in my opinion. EDIT: Jenius, just read your full review. Very nice review. Couple comments: I understand how people hate the part-forming thing, and I used to be one of them. However, I look at my CMs ride-armors, which are not parts-formers, and I have NO fun with them at all. I look at my Yamato metallic Priss & Moto-slave, which IS a parts-former, and I actually have a lot of fun with that. So, in effect, I'd rather have a parts-former that makes a genuinely enjoyable TOY, than non-parts-former that is only really good for displaying. As for your final statement, I suspect I'll be getting this toy, as I fall into that group of people who love this paint scheme, but hate CMs.

I think they've quite on the whole Megazone 23 thing. Even the Bubblegum Crisis stuff doesn't seem to be progressing. We've got the preorder for the Boomer, but I fear we won't see metallic releases of the rest of the group. I'd love to see Yamato release more for both lines, but fear they're just not getting the sales off of them to continue the,.

Only place I've seen it here in the US is on eBay. I'd love to get a copy of the limited edition of the game. It comes with an art book, which I'd love to get my hands on.

It's funny, I was actually just thinking the same thing. They could do it with little, if any, new molding. I have an extra Proto-Garland (Yamato was nice enough to send me a new one to replace my broken one). Maybe I'll spend some time trying to fix it up, and then paint it blue. Does anyone have any pics of the blue Garland from this game? The game website has some pics of it on there, if you go to the "machanical" section, but it doesn't let you right-click on them to save them. Nice seeing you again, Lonely Soldier Boy. Should've known you'd be replying to a motorcycle mecha thread like me, lol.

Are you talking about how Robotech II: The Sentinels was meant to be all new material, and then Robotech III: The Odyssey was to be new material showing Scott et al. searching for Rick Hunter and grew, while using Orguss footage to show what is going on on Earth while Scott is gone?

I personally think it's worth it, but a lot of people dislike it. A lot. The first part of Part 3 takes place a long time after parts 1 & 2. The second part of Part 3 takes place an even LONGER time later. There two stories are essentially unrelated to Part 1 & 2, with brand new characters, but I still think they're entertaining, though very different. They do expain a lot of the mysteries from Part 1 & 2 though, such as the true origin of Eve, etc.

I don't remember too well, but I think I read that it is supposed to take place between Part 2 and Part 3. So, it is descendants of characters from Part 2, and ancestors of characters from Part 3.

But still, seriously, what do these guys do for 40 hours a week? There is nothing going on that justifies full-time employees, tobe honest, except for customer service, which still takes a week to reply to customer questions, and often ignores them completely.

There are a lot of clips from it on youtube. The bue Garland looks awesome. The in-game mini-movies look nice. The gameplay itself look boring and absolutely TERRIBLE.

Semen... blood... just not mixed!

Maybe I am being naive, but I really do wonder what they do at Robotech. I mean, the website now is talking about a convention that two people are going to be at, and how everyone should come there. To do what? To be told what? Honestly, considering that all Robotech seems to be doing these days is licensing old material, or putting their name on Toynami, Beagle, and Megahouse products, what do they do? What does Tommy Yune do for 40 hours a week? I'm asking very seriously. Steve Yune is in charge of the website? Other than arguments I see him having with people on the forum and banning people fairly arbitrarily, what does he do? The website has no PMs, has no capabilities that pretty much any other forum on the net has, hasn't had any real changes in years. So, what does he do for 40 hours a week? Again, I'm not trying to be snarky, just don't get what these people do over the course of a week to justify whatever salaries it may be that they draw?

Not sure what you mean. None of them are scratchbuild, and all of them are variable. Just different companies. The Hargan isn't a moto-slave. It's a mecha from Megazone 23, coming in non-variable versions and variable ones. Is that what you're talking about, or are you talking about something else? Organic? Never heard of it. Atellier Sai is the only company I know that makes a Hargan, part of their line of Megazone 23 figures which are all in robot mode, no transformation.

That's fine. I was just trying to put it in perspective, as opposed to something like the Robotech RPGs, which were probably 90% fan art.

Batch 11: Art, RPG: RPG 3: 3 of 3 That's it. That's all I've got, other than some Hard Suit lineart and other stuff that I don't think is too relevant.

Now, on to the RPG art. It's worth stating here that, while some of the really rough or amateurish art here is likely done by the RPG company, MOST of the art was actually done by Artmic, for pre-production lineart. So, most of what you're about to see is actually real stuff, designed for the show, even if it didn't make it into the final series (such as additional Hard Suits, Moto-Slaves, and my two personal favorites, the AD Police Moto-Slave, and the large Moto-Slave that looks like a combination between a BGC Moto-Slave and a Megazone 23 Garland). So, without further ado: Batch 6: Art, RPG: RPG 1: 1 of 2
