Thanks. I wasn't sure what Art Storm's role in this was. As for the Tri-Charger, I'm happy to have it in my collection. There isn't much Zillion stuff out there, and I do own the original one, too. Other than that, though, it isn't really amazing as a toy or as a collectible, they didn't do much of anything to update it for 30+ years later, and it just doesn't feel like it's worth the price. Maybe half the price, considering the small audience for it. So, I was hoping it would settle me on getting the new Pose+ Legioss, but it really hasn't encouraged me that that will be worth the price.

I do have some concerns with this figure. I haven't pulled the trigger on ordering it yet, though I'm really tempted. The price is high, which is understandable with current prices and considering the size, but I do need to know that I'll feel like it was money well-spent. I don't have any experience with Pose+ (or Art Storm) except for the Zillion Tricharger, which I've had two of sitting in their boxes waiting for some free time for about a year. I finally took those out and they were... fine. They were fine. Not quite durable enough to be a toy, and not quite fancy enough or with enough higher quality materials to justify their price (I think they were in the $300s, if memory serves). Just not encouraging for me on this one. I do also recall the Art Storm Megazone 23 Garland, which was about this price, shiny, and had some poor reviews once people actually had it in hand. So, still on the edge deciding on getting this (will I have regrets later if I don't?), but these zoomed in plastic shots aren't selling me.

I have a soft spot for sidecars and designs that remind me of Aramaki's work on Bubblegum Crisis, so Grizzly has clicked with me.

Looking for the hivemind's opinions on sourcing the Toyrise Legioss. I generally order from BBTS (I've mentioned this before, but they gave me some amazing customer service way back in prehistoric times, with an issue with a Yamato Proto-Garland, and have earned my business since), and they've been eating most of the tariff costs on pre-tariff orders, which is amazing, but... some newer price differences would be nice to avoid. However, I haven't ordered from AmiAmi or HLJ in a long time (early Sentinels and Zillion Tri-Charger), so I don't have a sense of current shipping rates to the USA or tariffs, which they don't/can't easily calculate in (BBTS assumes a tariff rate). It looks like the prices are currently: 1) AmiAmi: https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?gcode=FIGURE-191150&srsltid=AfmBOorhdLzs5kKsjT01hziCEVBHjUD_cGToTOaXbv6xIeHzHDpChm2- : - - 10560 yen currently comes out to around $72... but then need shipping and tariffs. 2) HLJ: https://www.hlj.com/toyr-se-afc-01x-omega-legioss-omega-tkt08592 (our MW friend's link https://www.hlj.com/?utm_medium=affiliate&utm_source=scorchedearthtoys😞 - - 11400 yen currently couse out to around $77... plus, again, shipping and tariffs. 3) BBTS: https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/333868 : - - $141.49 is hard to take; it's around double of the others, pre-shipping and tariffs; BBTS pile of loot ends up making shipping darn near free, but that's a lot of tariff action going on (though, in fairness, I DO trust BBTS to reduce their price if tariffs end up lower... IF). Does anyone have recent experience to suggest what final, landed costs to the USA would be, or have alternatives? Thanks everyone. I'm actually really excited for the Another Genesis line and, like I've often complained, having some genuinely PLAYABLE MOSPEADA toys (not just collectibles for display).

I'm actually pretty bummed about that. While I did have some gripes, the Genesis Breaker stuff really grew on me over time, and I was hoping for getting all of the other designs from the story/art.

Value depends on each person individually. I'm still, permanently, kicking myself for one toy/collectible from 15 years ago that I passed on because the price was more than it was worth... but now I'd gladly pay that price. That said, I paid the original asking price on Toynami's site, which was the upper end of what it's worth, in my opinion (with shipping and tax, a little under double the price of the original green one). To me, that was still worth it. $600+, though? I don't think it's worth that.

For anyone interested in the Moshow SDCC Exclusive Rick Hunter Cyclone (MOSPEADA), here are some comparison pics to the original (since I didn't see anyone else highlighting the color differences or the stickers), as well as a comparison to the only other figure that really compares:

For those who have ordered the Pose+ Legioss (or have been looking into doing so), any rundown of options to purchase from? BBTS is my go-to, even if it takes them a while to get stuff in, because they gave me amazing customer service years back and basically won my business going forward. That said, they look to be about $100+ more than some smaller sellers that I've never heard of before. Does anyone have a sense of, among reputable sellers, where the best deals are, including shipping and anticipated tariffs to the US? Thanks.

That makes me question the premium price which, among other reasons, is supposed to be due to it being limited to only 500

Ordered it online. Toynami screwed up and didn't bring them to SDCC, so instead posted a link on FB to order it... defeating the point of it being an SDCC exclusive.

I ordered it. Too many positive childhood memories wrapped up in this type of thing to let the negativity weigh in. I think it will look fun displayed.

Man, I really hope the pricing on this isn't something idiotic... Also interesting to see Josh Nizzi's name pop up. I think he did some of the Bayverse Trasformers designs, like the motorcycle triplets?

These look like they might actually be enjoyable, in a "play with toys, don't just look at them" way, and I'm there for it.

Just got my Moshow (I let it sit in my pile of loot on BBTS for a bit while waiting for some other ride armor-type toys to release), and I have to say that I am really impressed. Sure, I wish it was less of a parts-former, but it's got some great heft and seems solidly built. It has even survived a small fall (dog pumping into table it was on) where my Sentinels (love them) have broken easily (cat knocking one off of a pretty low shelf). Side note: I've lost more MOSPEADA toys to cats over the last couple of decades than I care to remember. Really my only gripe is those 4 tiny little round plastic pins while so much else is metal.

It very much looks to me like the Loyal Subjects stuff is going to be new/updated figures, but like the vehicles have very, very minor changes (like a silver piece on Condor and some accessories that weren't there before, but otherwise the exact same vehicle, possibly re-using old molds are making new ones from scans and re-scalings of the physical products).- 387 replies

Consolidated Megazone 23 Toy/Model Thread for 2017-2018

Really excited for these. It's funny, when I first saw MZ23 two decades ago, I wasn't that into this mech. Since then... yeah, I've become a big fan, have custom made some of my own stands-ins for my collection, but am really looking forward to the real thing.- 819 replies

Agree here, especially on the Omnibots. Downshift has been a favorite since I was a kid, and I played with him both as a Transformer and, when not caring about scale, as a MASK toy. I'm not a fan of XTransbots, but this was a no-brainer for me. On the general topic, I'm a big believer in NOT infringing on someone else's IP, big or small. That said, if there is zero activity on it by the owner, sometimes us collectors really want that itch scratched... As long as I know it isn't causing the IP owner any damage.- 387 replies

Overall, it depends on what you're going for. In my opinion: - Want one to display, toon accurate? Beagle. - Want the full set, toon accurate? CMs. - Want full set, and open to/actually like updated designs? Sentinel. - Want toon accurate partsformer? Megahouse. - Want updated design partsformer, and into just slapping a ton of weapons onto a figure, physics-be-damned? Moshow Toys. - Want to actually play with it, and have it only be in scale with JoyToy? B2Five. - Want to play with it, but not have any fun doing so, and you're a completist? SMALL '80s Henshin Robo. - Want it to not be much fun? Matchbox. - Want to make me jealous? BIG '80s "Perfect Mounting Real Change" Henshin Robo

Were you uncomfortable with BBTS? I know they have a delay compared to others, but they gave me some absolutely amazing customer service when I had an issue a few years back, and very much earned my business... except for when I find an item elsewhere for substantially less money.

Yeah, I was keeping quiet, but definitely remembered that. FWIW, my BGC figs are the only Yamoto items that I legit play with here and there, and not just have as display pieces.

That's really disappointing. It probably doesn't actually matter that much. As much as I LOVE the Sentinel figures, I just use them as display pieces. I think that the B2Five figures can be considered legitimate toys (and partsformers), but other than them, I don't think a single collectible that I've purchased has been anything but a display piece since the Yamato BGC Motoslaves... but still disappointing.
