Bandai 1/72 fully transform able VF-1 plastic kit for Macross 30th Ann
BlueMax replied to Vi-RS's topic in Model kits
The proportions look off. The fighter mode's nose is totally wrong. The movable panel at the ankles look wierd as well, though it allows for more dynamic poses. -
Sad news for folks who have bought the hard-to-get-at-good-prices Bandai valks from them... we have just lost a source of affordable Bandai walks....but at least they said they will be honoring pre-orders made for releases up to end august at least. So thats why they are not doing the VF-27 pre-orders.... .... I worry about getting the VF-25S when pre orders open from the other retailers Thought those who have pre-orders with them would like to know.

Glad you found it! I only had the giftset (1J + GBP) so couldn't say for certain if the standalone packs have it (even though logic tells me it should be).

You need to use the modified heat shield like the one in the middle of this picture: Pic taken from Jenius's website http://anymoon.com/blog/?p=1378#more-1378

Unfortunately I think it is only available because it is a "CF". I really don't think this will happen with the more popular ones like the ®VF-25 series.... though one can hope.

From the box will be even more easy. The V1s feature a window which allows you to view the contents. The V2s, however, do not show the contents, just a picture(s)of the armor on the 1J
-
I'd rather they go for some brand new stuff un-made, like the VF-5000! or Destroid Phalanx, enemy mecha... etc
-
I think looking out for the huge "clip" on its shoulders/ collarbone area would be better since someone might just sell a sticker-ed one. Also the the gerwalk joint at the upper thigh. The V1 is way more pronounced.
-
It is actually pretty obvious once you see it, almost like differentiating the V1 fromt he V2 VF-1s

Used to have pre-orders at reasonable prices, until the VF-171 Ex plus preorder came along (Alto version). Shops that pre-ordered were played out by Bandai, in the sense that they accepted pre- orders but ultimately none came and since then none of the shops dared to do pre-orders for DXes anymore. So now, it is even cheaper to order from a heavily marked up shop like NY, shipping included, than to buy it locally. Sad.

1st, I'm pretty sure they wont grow any. 2nd, they can make money, but.. refer to 1st point. 3rd, they dun care if we can sleep well, our sleep is a super distant 2nd compared to theirs.

I went back to try to order another one but it was sold out! Felt like ultimate crap for a few minutes....... . . . . . Until the order confirmation came.... phew~!

Because this is built to order. As long as the orders are in before the cut off date, no worries.
-
I've emailed Otacute regarding cancelled orders and asked if they will be available... the reply is: everything that became available is now gone.
-
Darn... missed it again

I somewhat agree. If the valks were at retail prices, then I would totally say yes(!), it is definitely a win for both... but with Bandai's valks, since are are forced to pay way higher than retail, not so much. Also, by taking the option to pay later, the exchange rate risk is totally borne by us consumers. NY and other dealers just get the same amount in Yen Let me put it this way, if the yen was still as expensive as say 1 year ago, would we still be as likely to pay the kind of mark up NY is asking for now? For some, yes, but for most of us, no, and it is reflected in the prices that NY is asking for right now.
-
Actually, the way it is.... its good for NY and not so much for us. Rest of us Gaijin are only willing to pay up to a certain amt our own currency, just so happens that that same amount translates into more yen right now. So, we end up paying the maximum we are willing to pay (in your own local currency) still, but it translates into much more Yen for NY (or a scalper dealing in Yen) ultimately.

At 220 usd on NY, this is absolute madness IMO, I bow out of this competition. Hope one more person can get it. Edit: Oh and F*ck you Bandai! _^_______/\. <| ________| / ~ /_) /__/

lol.... In all seriousness, we can consider taking leave on pre-order days simply to devote out time fully pressing "F5" on the PC!

Damn... I had refreshing the page every 5 minutes... and i did not even stand a chance!
