  1. Darn.... TnT got it already?? Did you happen to make it for the toy fair at the Art Museum on Sunday?
  2. BlueMax

    Latest custom.

Speaking of that, ANY 1/60 v2 with Kurt's weathering would be sweet
  3. BlueMax

    Latest custom.

Great work as always! yeah, I've gotta agree that quite a number of VF-1D conversion kits are going to you... haha
  4. Great idea to re-use the glass panels! only thing you have to be worried abt the "open" display is dust. Loads of it. Anyway, looking forward to seeing more pictures of your fully displayed shelves1
  5. there are actually also a couple of small differences between the TV and DYRL versions even though there are the same color scheme generally. but yeah, bring on the M&Ms!
  6. So far I have not seen any other 1/48 gone for 60% off, and definitely not for such a long period of time. Closest was the 1/48 Low vis 2 and GBP set which went for 50% off, but that only lasted not too long. Also a couple of others that went for 50% off: 1/60 YF-21 which only was on sale for less than 1 day and the 1/60 VF-1A Hikaru super/strike set which only lasted 2 days
  7. Congrats on your Angel Bird's arrival, and glad that you like it! yes, they are very sturdy, in fact, the posings will be pretty much rock solid, and yes, very little metal, but you'll probably appreciate it when it comes to holding a pose. And no worries about durability, as long as you handle it like a mature adult and not a 3 year old, it will last you a very long time to come. I know, I own probably close to a dozen of 1/48s! LOL~!
  8. I must say..... i haven't heard the term "Fulcy's hips" and "Jung's customs" for a long long time! I remember that there was someone who did resin recasts of the strike cannon (as well as the rest of the the super armor) as well..... aah, those were the days!
  9. The heads appareantly are all custom, as are some of the hands. Of course, the 1D is fully customised. Was never actually released.
  10. great! Hm... sometimes I can't help but wonder if Hong Kong actually gets toys faster than Japan itself... haha.... probably not surprising considering the relative proximity of production facilities.
  11. Temjin? Are you the THE Temjin for Macross animation??? Anyway REN, amazing work, you should go work for Satelight!
  12. Actually, the VF-1R is simply based on an animation error. The boys at HG/Toynami simply merely played along and capitalised on this error to fabricate a new designation. As far as Macross is concerned, the is no VF-1R.
  13. hah.... topless robot has it totally nailed and i couldn't disagree less with his parting shot:
  14. Crew + deck set is more or less what i had in mind! if they were in proper 1/60 scale, it would be fabulous
  15. True..... but I'll be the 1st to admit that my skills for painting miniature human figures with details is.... sorely lacking, thus my wish for a pre-painted set. I mean, those pictures look fantastic in the earlier posts, but i'm sure I can't do justice to any of them. Only way is to commission an artist to do it for me, but damn, that is probably gonna be expensive...
  16. The main thing with existing kits: they need to be painted.... which not all of us have the skills/ time to do it.
  17. I'm actually talking about a separate set of crew. like the 1/72 1/48 kits for carrier catapult crews like this, with hopefully a section of the catapult section/ blast defectors
  18. As above.... i just felt that the 1/60 valks are pretty lonely, with no regults/ glaugs to pose with.... and the fact is that there aren't any existing model kit accessories built in 1/60 scale, thus kinda difficult in creating nice dioramas for them. So in the event that Yamato decides not to release any of the regults/ glaugs (I sure hope they will release them !), With the flight crew, which I'm quite sure its not as costly to produce, I'm sure things can be spiced up quite a bit. I've always loved the hanger or carrier based dioramas. Sooo.... what do you think?
  19. Very nice! is it possible to have it in 1920*1200? Would love to have it as a wallpaper
  20. I think it was pretty minimal, if any.
  21. actually there are 2 kinds of standalone FAST packs. The DYRL? super/strike packs and the TV super packs. So yes, the TV super packs have slightly different arm armor, and does not have the strike cannon. Incidentally, my my shipment of a Super/Strike VF-1A Hikaru , VF-1S Roy (no FPs) and a Kotobukiya stand... cost 3600 yen by SAL and it arrived 6 days after the shipping order was sent! Haha...my earlier order 2 weeks back took 12 days
  22. Looking pretty! Please post more pictures
  23. You are referring to "The Crow" fighter? Was that a female? Hm.... gotta go watch that part again...
  24. I agree... but maybe its just for the 1J and not the 1A, to differentiate it top side.
