  1. Can I ask for the said tips too? Thanks in advance!

(Think of the poor folks who missed the boat for 1/60 M&Ms and Virgin road). Maximum you lose if they go on discount is what? 50% tops? Compare this with Bandai: Most are not able to get them for retail, and can prices they can command can go easily in excess of 150% or the MSRP, not to mention the fact you need to spend alot of effort looking out for deals and stuff. Yamato (easily) anytime for me.
  3. QFT. Always thought and still think they are the best toy company that happened to Macross collectors
  4. Sheesh.... most of us never stood a chance
  5. Hm... I guess since the are re-leasing the VF-25F, the 25S should be coming back soon too, maybe in August?
  6. Thanks for the guide/ translations! definitely a Godsend to non-Japanese speakers
  7. My understanding of the 1/60 VF-1 line was profitable such that obscure or not, every valk sold is profitable, since they recovered their costs
  8. its actually not priced that expensive... its the availability... or rather lack of it, that push the retailers and re-sale market to price it higher than it normally would have been
  9. Somewhat true.... In full tv colors. However, the max and Millia 1/48s also came with tv fast packs, but the boosters were color matched.
  10. I'm sure you find them similar, since they are both VF-17s!
  11. For Kicker, it isn't "what to collect", but rather "how much to collect"
  12. And Enigma paint scheme!
  13. Basically right now, my hand is forced to get some of the "optional" items I was debating whether to get: Got: 1/60 VF-17 Super parts 1/60 weathered olive green Tomahawk 1/60 weathered khaki Defender Still debating: - 2nd 1/60 VF-17S + accompanying super packs (Since I cannot complete Diamond Force with the 17D cheaply, i'll use the 17Ss as the followers instead of the leader) - 2nd 1/60 VF-19s (Since I cannot complete Diamond Force with the 19F cheaply, i'll use the 19Ss as the followers instead of the leader) - 1/60 unassembled VF-1D - mainly for the unique option part: the vertical 2 seater

    VF-11c

Well, if you want a 1/60 VF-11C, you don't have any other choice . Also, you might not have another chance to buy it at today's prices after you miss the window. Your move.
  15. Yes! As far as i'm concerned, that is the Holy Grail as it is the only valk I do not have from Yamato's line of perfect transformation valkyries as a whole. (weathered and re-released versions of existing valks/ destroids not withstanding)
  16. Where is the Super VF-1J @ 105 bucks??
  17. Ditto... 1st time I don't want to have to hear these wonderful stories. Hm... whatever the whatsapp content is, it sure doesn't sound as if it answers the question if the Macross Variable line will continue
  18. Better be safe than sorry! On the positive side, the upsurge in buying also sends a signal to Arcadia ( and retailers) that demand is still there, but either their pricing or marketing strategy isn't correct.
  19. Actually, thinking about it, if I am management in Arcadia, assuming already there are plans to release the Macross line, I would keep mum about any release plans. Let the market soak up all remaining stock, and wait about 6 months after the dust settles before making a grand entry back into the arena. The moment they make an announcement positively, the buying stops, which is not in their or retailers' favor. I would do that. Just my 2 cents worth
  20. Just got myself a set of VF- 17's FPs plus weathered destroids from HKC. Panic buying starts!
  21. Nice picture comparisons too
  22. Got it! FINALLY!
  23. Bit the bullet as well.
  24. Well, i got at least 1 copy for all the 1/60 valks (including V1s) that Yamato has put out over the last decade, so unless Toynami comes up with new and solid schemes (think Enigma, gunmetal low-vis), I'll gladly skip all their releases. or more likely... maybe get a couple of those less popular ones when on a massive sale for spare parts
  25. Exactly, because of the fact that Valkyries are primarily airplanes, and Battroid/ Gerwalk second. Whereas, with Gundam, its the other way round, if a particular model transforms at all.
