  1. I'm sure something can be worked out - I can knock a few bucks off here and there, but not too much since I'm selling these almost at cost to begin with. Let me think about it, and get back to you guys tonight.
  2. I don't know how easy it'd be to replace the stock thrusters - that's something Nick can answer. However, these thrusters are rather easy to customize. They are three part, as can be seen here: http://mechaskunk.com/images/gthruster/GT01.jpg To get the look that you want, you either drill the hole into the booster deeper, so there's less pipe sticking out - or, you cut the pipe shorter.
  3. Ahem. http://mechaskunk.com/store-al.htm Look around - you may find other detailing option parts that interest you...
  4. But you just stated - 'I personally have yet to find' so that's your opinion - and not everyone will share that opinion. Personally, I kinda side with Roy on this one - some of them are cute, but others just don't do anything for me, and I don't find them beautiful at all...
  5. Fichten is part of his last name...
  6. Well, that's probably the problem - you need a bit torrent client to download the actual AVI file - the file you have is basically just a pointer to the actual file...
  7. I love you too Grayson Though, I´m kinda confused - you model guys get all pissy when a toy guy says word one in a model thread. Then, when one of you model guys come into a toy thread, and say something about a model, and get flak, you guys get offended? Kinda a double standard there, eh?
  8. Man, it must be nice to have enough 1/48s that you can't rember offhadn how many you have I'll echo what's already been said: The Yamato stickers are very thick (so thick that the edges of the film around each sticker looks frosted,) don't stick so hot, have very fuzzy detail, and are all around absoultely terrible. I wouldn't put them on a valk if you payed me. Then when buying aftermarket, the question comes to play on weather or not you want stickers or decals. I've bought Takatoys' stickers and Anasazi decals, and I've come to a few conclusions. First off, you have tod ecide if you are going to want to handle your valks alot. If so, then surprisingly enough, I recommend decals over stickers. Stcikers adhere well (especially Taka's) but they still have raised edges to catch on and curl or peel off... a well applied decal set with a decal solution and sealed with Future and then a spray varnish is impervious and almost seemless with the surface around it. I only buy decals at this point, because I customize AND handle my valks a great deal.... I've got a Roy with Strike armor on my shelf with stickers on it from before I started decalling and I dont handle it at all to keep the stickers on. 401177[/snapback] Yeah, promo is right on here. The only thing to keep in mind, is that takatoys stickers are easier to apply - just peel and stick. Decals, on the other hand, require soaking in water, sliding on the surface, postioning, setting, and sealing. However, if you're willing and able to spend the extra time and effort on decals, they are definitely worth it...
  9. deadboy, I'm warning you again to watch yourself - that is something better handled through PMs...
  10. Wow, didn't see the posts in this thread over the winter break - and yeah, there aren't any updates on this project, unfortunately... And, yeah Nick - you saw the pieces that weekend you were here - gosh, that was a long time ago, eh?
  11. In Japan, especially if you've done work for Hobby Japan, Dengeki Hobby, or Model Graphix, you can fetch a pretty good amount for your models. But in the US, few understand the time and effort that goes into making painted models, and expect them to be priced like you were buying it from Walmart...
  12. I've never heard of a Green Divers release of the 2.0 Zeta MG, so I would have to say custom...
  13. Since it's not macross, this thread goes in the Other Anime section...
  14. You know what they've really got to do here. Ditch the human side. In fact, get rid of the human aspect all together - it's ALIENS vs. PREDATORS. Don't throw humans in there to make it so there's something we can relate to - give us a movie about a Predator hunting party, going after an alien queen. Or a group of young adult Predators, led by a blooded adult, going out on their first hunt against the hard meat. Not this crap...

  16. Any news on the A-10? Still in development heck?
  17. Me? Nah, I hate yukikaze.
  18. It's all good - don't mean to be hijacking your thread like this. I will step aside and let your yukikaze model discussion continue...
  19. I think you are missing the point - spirit does not equal rules. The rules say macross models, not macross models and whatever else you guys really really really want to discuss. If you don't want to discuss them here in the other anime section, feel free to discuss them over on Rob's board instead.
  20. LTSO - it's not macross, so it's not going in the model section. End of discussion.
  21. I will have to agree with Js - the only threads in the model section are for macross models. Any other model thread that's been created - like the gundam model thread - has been posted in the other anime/sci fi section, so even though these are model kits, they are not macross model kits, so they should stay in the other anime/sci fi section.
  22. Only one thread please.
  23. Yeah, yeah - quiet you!
