  1. Oh my - it's the unholy love child of the Wing Zero and the Gundam X!
  2. I believe that's some sort of beam rifle beam saber - that apparently collapses inside the gun when you don't want it deployed...
  3. Ah, mine is a 1/100 - the travesty is that some of the parts are cast nicely, but the fact that before they cast the major subassemblies, they glued the parts together crooked, makes the entire kit useless. I've been trying to scratchbuild the missing parts, and surgically repair the misaligned pieces, but gawd that's a painstaking process... You saw the 1/48!?!?! Wow, I am jealous!
  4. Meh.... GP04 is too fat for my taste. the GP04 is my favorite gundam design, and is my second favorite MS overall - right behind the Kampfer... Now, if Bandai would go and make a HY2M kampfer, I'd be set! Do you have any of the GP04 resin kits available? I have one of them, but it's a recast, and rather crappy at that - not worth the $80 I paid for it. I haven't been able to find/afford any of the other ones (especially, say, the 1/48th scale ones available on HobbyFan). I also have the GFF (like you'd have to ask! ). What do you mean available?

  6. I wonder how hard it would be to convert that bad boy to a GP04G...
  7. The stampeed is being made by Rob. I hope they make the GBP, cause I don't really feel like making it myself - though, I do hope they don't complete the 1/48th line - why? Cause I don't want to have wasted my time with the Ostrich and Elint conversions I'm working on
  8. Like Abombz, my prized possessions are from Miracle House - two Shin Getters, (including the Devil Wing), the Mazinkaiser, and Neo Getter. When I get the monetary flexibility to afford it, either the HY2M Gouf or Gundam will likely de-throne those four (though, it will be a good fight! ).
  9. It was more out of curiosity that I was asking, not that I was worrying what would happen in 5 months when my sorry ass finally gets his 99th PM! I also just found the archiving function, so it seems like this number makes more sense than ever...
  10. Not that I'm complaining or anything - especially since i only have 5 messages - but the maximum number of messages is limited to 100? I thought we had easily 5 times that for all folders on the old forums...
  11. Nick - any shots of the leg armor? The boosters look great! I tried to work on a JM Elint, but as with most of my projects, gave up on it - for some god unknown reason....

Hey kaolian - just noticed something with your drawings - the shoulder armor seems to be missing the thruster at the back of it. Check out the lineart: The shoulder armor seems to be almost identical to the shoulder armor of the GBP - this is my take on it. Other than that, it looks real good!
  13. Don't worry - he's seen it already. He also got me the translations for installments 9 and 10 (earlier than this article) - I believe they are about scratchbuilding, and should be helpful for those who would like to make custom parts to cast...
  14. Check in the Models and Toys section - Kaolin started a thread there. ChrisB seems to be MIA, but I guess since I'm the other 'organizer' of this contest, I'll make sure it keeps going.

Oh, the project is definitely still on - been doing some tests for sizing and such. Your images look good - you using autoCad? Can't wait to see the final images (and I have no idea where ChrisB is - I'll try and get him to post here in the near future). Take care!
  16. There was a Welcome to our New Forums thread?!?! I can't tell you when the last time I stepped into the TV and Movies forum was - a News section is a good idea (though, I can also see that getting lumped into the FAQ or Feedback forum).
  17. If they are resin or plastic parts that fit a toy, they should go in the toy section (anything in any way toy related). If it's a resin kit (say, one of Tanmen's beautiful kits), or a Hasegawa plastic kit, that should go in the model section...
  18. Well, I posted this over at Valkyrie Exchange, while the boards were down, but since they are back up, and we have this nifty How To forum, thought I'd post it here! This is the second article, in a four part series of articles from Dengeki Hobby Magazine, on the basics of casting. I don't have the first article, but I do have the last two, and I am getting them translated as we speak (along with several other articles - Satoshi is awesome! ). I will have higher resolution images of these pics available shortly (the original image is 4100x3050) - just been swamped this week, and haven't had a chance to do anything. Without further ado, let's kick off this How-To forum right! <Click the pics!>
  19. As far as I know, pics were frowned upon in sigs, out of respect for users with dial up and slow connections...
