  1. Actually, the only thing you need to worry about rusting are the screws and any springs that are inside your toy. Diecast does not rust, since it contains no iron.
  2. For any of you interested in the Eiyuu Tan Gundam, there's one up for auction on Ebay - for a good price too!
  3. I'll confirm you, big boy...
  4. The long tubes in the last pic, I believe are called Sturm Boosters...
  5. Please, please PLEASE post more pics - I would love to see this baby in progress - or even just complete. And Chris - I know you'll read this thread eventually - when are you going to take pics of your collection?! I know you have plenty of stuff like this gracing your shelves - share man!
  6. Great mod - though, I am confused a little - the smoke stacks are much bigger than 1/32 in diameter - is that the size you meant? I would think something around 5/32 in diameter would be a better fit...
  7. They probably own an ALPS printer, and just print it out themselves...
  8. thanks CID!
  9. First off, let me welcome you to the forums! Second, let me commend you on taking on a challenging project like this. People may question why you made a Deathscythe, etc., but as you say - you are making this for yourself - make something that YOU want to make. Good luck, and is there any way to see more recent images? Oh, and it defintitely looks like half scale to me - as has been said, the Wing suits are among the smallest out of the entire Gundam franchise - just slightly smaller than G-Gundam, and only slightly taller than the F-91 and Victory Gundam suits.
  10. Hey Sebastion. I got mine off of ebay for about 75 dollars. What did you search for?? The Kerberos ones I've seen on Ebay go for over $110 plus shipping...
  11. It'll piss me off if I don't get in on this now, and can't get one later - I'll take one please...
  12. Cool Anubis - keep the Mac Plus box alive!
  13. <RANT MODE ON> WHAT THE frakk Don't frakkin vote in a poll, asking if you are going to buy something, when you aren't actually going to buy it. Only 20 orders, and there are well over 100 votes saying that you'd buy an SDF Macross case? People put time and effort into this, and used this poll as a gage for interest in this case, and what have they gotten from it? 20 lousy orders. Guess this kills any hope that I'd get a pimpin Mac Plus case from Paul. Grrr... <RANT MODE OFF>
  14. The first one is indeed an older kit, and needs glue and paint to assembly - though it doesn't have a pic of the box, I am sure this is it (and it is in stock! ) Zeta Plus The same can be said of the Ga-Zowm, older kit, requires paint and glue, but it's no longer available from HLJ - Ga-Zowm
  15. Just let me know what screws you need, and I can get them for this project!
  16. Uhm, eww?
  17. Yeah, cause if we slow the project down any more, it'll be going backwords...
  18. Makes me want to pull out my unbuilt Revell 1/48th A-6, and see how hard of a conversion it'd be...
  19. Uhm, there was an attempt to contact the kit's creator, and contact was made - there was even a preorder thread up, with alot of interest. But then IHP, for reasons known to him, pulled the plug on casting more of the Monster...
  20. Yutaka Izubuchi did design the RX-93 Nu Gundam, along with his other more noteable designs - the RX-78 NT-1 Alex, and MS-18E Kampfer...
  21. The idea I had for attaching the arm armor is simple - it's going to come in two halves, and the armor is going to sandwich the forearm. I'll add some details on the inside that will lock into the arm, and keep it securely in place. As far as the GBP armor is concerned - not too sure. If Yamato doesn't do it, I will probably do it, since I'd be that close to begin with...
  22. Alright, I've been promising this for a while, and here it is. As you can see, the shoulder armor is pretty far along - I've got most of the proportions where I want them to be, and they are a few days from being cast. Now, this doesn't mean they are almost done - as you can see from the following shots, the details are very rough - I don't have the circle-bar verniers on them, or the panels roughed out. I am going to add that detail to the casts that I make from these parts, well, because I think that's the best way to go. Then I need to add the mechanism for the hinge for the door, and the vents on the back, and they'll be done. And, last but not least, is a small teaser on the next part that I'm working on - the arm armor. I think the upper curved part looks damn good (except for the seam going down the middle - that will not be there in the end), and the at the rear is good too - need to make some adjustments for clearance of the upper arm, and do some minor gap filling - but as I said before, I'm pleased with the result so far. The next part of the arm armor are the sides, and then I get into the fun stuff - I am going to add details similar to the missile tips on the FAST pack boosters - basically a mechanism to hold and load the next round of missiles. So, what do you guys think?
  23. Actually, I hate macross - the only thing I find redeeming about the series are the mecha. The Gundam storylines (and I'm only talking U.C. - A.C. can kiss my hairy yellow butt) are much more believable than anything Macross has churned out, and there are just so many different mecha to love.
  24. Ah, yes, the Elint and Ostrich - two other customs I am going to work on at some point. Yes, you can canibalize the super armor to make the armor for the Elint and Ostirch (though, the Ostrich armor is much more difficult due to it's egg shape). I am planning on doing these after the AG project - and yes, everything I make will be recast. The main difficulty with the Elint/Ostrich will be the cockpit - since it's a bubble canopy, versus the normal VF-1 canopy, I'm going to have to extend the cockpit, and modify the chestplate to work properly. Haven't fully looked at it yet - and, to tell the truth, I am giving Yamato an opportunity to make these, since it'd be easier on me - but, if they don't, I do plan on tackling both these guys (the Ostrich first).
  25. As most everyone knows, I am working on the Armored Gerwalk for the 1/48 (yeah, if you can call it working - today was the first day I could actually devote a few straight hours to it). I'm also working on another armor conversion for the 1/48, but I am not at liberty to mention it at this time...
