Ok then. I was figuring in more recent comments between Jemstone and I. So after reading your post I was like "wtf?!"

Maybe if you had to read new posts every day you'd understand. The only reason I have to repeat myself (that is, if you're referring to me) is because Jem brought it into question. I had to straighten her out... but there's another prompt. Now VHS is crappy? What about when DVD is "crappy?" Its happening already as a matter of fact... then the cycle will begin alll over again. Wow Hurin, you sure do hate to be disagreed with. Ah well.. 7 pages without a totally worthless post ain't bad. Though this isn't the first time and it probably won't be the last... Blaine, I'm not saying anyone that wants the OT should run out and grab it. I'm just saying think about all the opportunity everyone has had... and now... with DVD... everyone is acting like its the be all, end all. I'm not saying people on this particular forum are... but it seems to be the general SW peep concensus.

Its just an action show about ninjas... nothing too deep. Its just fun. The latest manga is a little too... Super Saiyan for me... but there were 4 others that looked similar without me noticing... so at least he fits in.... I guess the white hair is different too.

I think myk sums it up rather well. Oh and the guy writing for the Boston Globe has had tons of opportunity to get the old school one. More than a lot of people... he's got no room really to complain. Hell, if he's such a huge fan, wouldn't he have the LDs?

I too, am glad that I didn't run out and grab it. I'm going to give it some time... if this is all we get... I suppose I'll grab one... but I dunno.... people were complainin about Back to the Future and I never noticed...

I dunno if anybody is keeping up with the manga (http://www.narutofan.com) but holy cow! ***MAJOR SPOILERS**** ***POST INCLUDES A PICTURE FROM THE *END* OF THE LATEST MANGA CHAPTER**** I wonder how far Sasuke is going to go? I also wonder if Orochimaru had something to do with Itachi's fall? Perhaps old Itachi was too powerful in the end. What about the other 5 Legendary Mist Swordsmen? Who is the 3rd person that can do Mangekyou? Kakashi?! I don't know... Itachi said that only an Uchiha can master the sharingan and even taunted Kakashi for this... who knows? Also Kyubi mentioned another relation between the 4th and Naruto... is there more there than meets the eye? I think its a little too Super Saiyan looking... but we'll see how it pans out...

I held out on buying a PS2 for this reason. I've been waiting for the PSTwo! Nintendo is probably the company that gets me closest to fanboy... I wait for the other consoles to come down in price.

This coming from someone who learned way more than she needed to know from the man himself and has come to regret it. Resulting in a difficult time enjoying a childhood fandom. I use Robotechies (diehard RT fans) because they always manage to find a way to justify the changes whether good or bad. In the end things for creative and artistic purposes have NOTHING, NADA, ZERO. ZIP to do with it. EDIT: For the record I was never that big of a Star Wars fan either but more of a fan of Darth Vader's character. So what do you think his reason is? Whatever it is, is it not his choice what to do with it? Just as it is your choice not to buy it. Well, when you put Robotechie that way, then I am not. In any case, I hope I cleared things up. I'm just pointing out how funny it is that everyone states how much they dislike them then the assorted merchandise sells like hotcakes. He goes back and changes his movies how he likes, I think its his right. Just because you don't think that way, doesn't make me a rabid Lucas fan. I think its awesome that he's making them how he wants to. Sure, people argue that he has a responsibility to his fans... I'll give anti-GL people that... but he upheld that responsibility when he released the ORIGINAL Star Wars Trilogy on VHS "ONE LAST TIME" before the Special Editions were coming out. He gave people a nice version of what they wanted, and now he can make the films how he wants to. There's a fine line between being an artist and a whore(which seems to be what a lot of his most voracious "fans" want him to become.) If you really don't like the Special Editions, then get the bootlegs. Its no sweat off George Lucas' or his loyal fans' backs. Not money. Children. He had a daughter between Empire and RotJ. Which, to me, explains why the target audience changed. ANH and ESB could be enjoyed by children, but teenagers and young adults also loved them. But, after he decided to make movies "for the children". . . we suddenly had things more 8-year-old-centric. And, of course, the humor went from subtle to. . . ewoks, burping, prat-falls, and other lame gags. But I've ranted about this before. Sorry. Can't help myself. H "suddenly?" Please... its all kid stuff dammit! I swear you guys... one of these days... ONE OF THESE DAYS!!! POW! Right to the 7th moon of Omikron Persei 8!!! Anyway... if you truly think SW has lost its way then speak with your wallets. Nobody is holding a lightsabre to your heads. Then again... I know that 99% of the people bitching about GL and his creations will go see the films and buy all the assorted junk... Ah.. how I love today's internet culture. On the bright side... ep III news is getting better and better by the day. I hope its the greatest SW ever, though anything's better than ANH. But unlike others on this forum, I'm not nostalgic about any of them because I first saw them later in life.

I think it could be cool. Star Wars is inheirently cheesy. Maybe show the rebellion gettin started?
