And here’s October’s HLJ haul. New Gunpla (Core Gundam/Earthree Gundam is a really fun kit, can’t wait for the next armor versions), the final two DX mecha for this year, and the latest bad guy role play sword. I’m going to try out one of the huge combos that uses every part of all the dinosaurs.

The armored set arrived at the same time as everyone else’s, I just haven’t posted about it yet. As for the Machine Kiva set, I ordered and paid for one, and was expecting one package today, but ended up with two. I was rather confused when my brother texted me to let me know a couple of boxes arrived today for me.

This just came in this week, and for the first time in forever, I’ve only got one thing on preorder at HLJ.

My first Amazon.jp purchase. I had to cancel my preorder with HLJ due to release and payday timing, and they haven’t gotten any more in stock.

Yesterday’s HLJ delivery. Delta Platoon is complete! My wallet can rest! Ryusoulger movie mecha, Kishiryujin, and the Gold ranger’s belt (just for the soul it comes with, which is cheaper than I paid for the Kata Soul on it’s own...)

It’s not that bad, just need to be careful and follow the directions. It isn’t one of those kits where you can just build whatever body part and just put everything together at the end.

Super Minipla Jet Garuda to go with my Jet Icarus came in today from N-Y, since HLJ didn’t carry him.

More Ryusoulger stuff! Jet Icarus Super Minipla (I’ve never seen any Jetman, I just really like the design/concept) MG Alex 2.0 And what I thought was the Kishiryu-oh minipla set, turns out it’s the 12 pack retailer assortment. Oops, now I’ve got doubles for 6-8.

It looks more like that’s the track for the stop peg, to keep the cannon from going too far foreword.

Probably. If I remember correctly, the finish comes from the molding. Bandai isn’t likely going to redo the molds like that so the finishes will match with the newer figures. -

May’s haul. The Echoblaster was an impulse buy, saw an ad on Facebook for the preorder and thought he looked really nifty.

They could handle it like the 31F reissue, coinciding with a possible release of the 31S’s super parts.

I'm not sure why I'm surprised at the size of the box, the armor costs nearly as much as the VF-31 did to start.

The tolerances for getting those hands stowed is ridiculously tight. After seeing some other troubles with the thumbs accidentally shearing off, I just stopped leaving the hands on when I put the figure into fighter mode. Unlike the 31 where the back of the hands become a visible panel under the wings, these hands are completely hidden, so nothing is lost taking them off.

I’ve already resigned myself to going all in with Ryusoulger, I need all the souls. The original Astro Megazord was something I always wanted as a child, so the new minipla is a nice alternative.
