No kidding. There were some cool figures in the works. If they simply put out the good stuff first the entire toyline might have done better. That and make a movie that didn't suck so bad like Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Honestly, I'll bet the toys would have done better with simply the legacy of the 1st 3 movies on their own without the new movie.

I told myself I was never going to get any, but then I saw the Darth Revan. I had to have it.

Lots of cool rumors brewing. Count Dooku FX lightsaber is on my wish list as well as the Darth Sidious FX lightsaber. Luke Skywalker(Death Star II) and New Slave Leia figures are also must buys for me. I got my fingers crossed. Keep in mind these are not confirmed. http://www.rebelscum.com/story/front/Lates...mors_120477.asp Today at Target I saw a wave of figures I had not seen yet. It was a Legacy Collection/Saga Legends wave. It consisted of: Luke Skywalker(X-wing pilot) Sand Trooper Clone Trooper(ROTS) Saessee Tiin Tri-Droid Snowtrooper Arc Trooper(Red Commander) Perhaps some one else got to the Snowtrooper and Arc Trooper first because I did not see them. The Luke is the same as the one found in the Wal-Mart exclusive Droid Factory 2-Pack with battle damaged R2-D2. I have the Droid Factory set so I passed on Luke. I did pick up the ROTS Clone Trooper, Tri-Droid, and Sand Trooper. I don't know if this wave is an older one or newer one. Rebelscum.com does not have any pics and the numbers listed are SL-**, so I guess they are new.

A few years ago I would have been your neighbor. I used to live in the DFW area, and I still have my house that I now rent in Frisco. Went to UTA for graduate school then worked there for several years. I lived in Grand Prairie, Arlington, Coppell, and Frisco until I finally moved to Atlanta 3 years ago, but I still consider myself a Texan born and raised. I miss living there. IMHO it was much easier to find anime stuff and the theater scene is much better. I would regularly find some sort of anime playing in a theater in the Dallas area. I know exactly where you are referring when you describe where LAFToys is located.

What, What, Whaaaat! I need to hunt for this ASAP.

They're right, it doesn't come with the figure anymore. Check out the box pic on HLJ. It is also stated in the description. http://www.hlj.com/product/YMT00110

Yeah, I think the no glue and no painting symbols confuse a lot of people. I am curious how good it looks if you simply put it together with zero painting. I also wonder how the decals compare with the stickers.

Back to the important topic of the Q-Rau. If you don't already have it, you should seriously get the Millia 639 figure set. The figure is much nicer than the one that comes with the Q-Rau. CM's made a Blue Max in Metrandi flight suit as a secret figure in one of their earlier releases, but it is pretty hard to come by. IIRC it is supposed to fit in the Yamato Q-Rau.

Nice. I will try to do that on my A-wing. At some point I may want to remove the landing gear and plug up the area. At which point I will hang it from the ceiling as in flight.

A question that would only be asked here at MW. I love it! I wish I knew the answer.

I thought my sarcasm was pretty clear.

I call BS on the claim that she never watched any of the movies or only a few parts here and there. She definitely has watched all three before. Though, it was probably a long time ago and only once.

Yeah, I agree with the author. I hate it when anime appeals too much to the audience. I would rather watch anime that doesn't try to appeal to the audience very much at all.

I feel your pain. I really hate auctions. I would much rather "Buy It Now" for a reasonable price. I've been sniped one to many times, and it pisses me off every time. I guess you will have to just wait for another one someday. Just console yourself with the little One Coin Exelion for the time being. BTW, have you built the Luxion and Eltreum? If so, I would very much like to see pics. -
To answer your specific question, no I don't hang them on pegs. In my previous post I was referring to the items hanging in the stores. I'm pretty regular about visiting my local stores once a week usually on my lunch break or on my way home from work. I'll at least visit one a day to see if there is anything new. I go so often these days it seems like I know more than the workers there. I know some of you know what I am talking about. I open almost all my toys I collect. I will save some MIB if I feel it's "special" such as my Walmart exclusive 501st figure or my General McQuarrie figure. I don't collect because something might be valuable later on. I collect for the fun of it. The ones I save MIB I simply put away in a closet.

Ricardo, I will avenge you!

New packaging designs in the works. http://www.starwars.com/vault/collecting/20090109.html When looking into new packaging I wonder if they consider the tamper resistance factor. The figure packaging they have now is nice because it is easy to open without destroying the card, but it is very easy to hack into at the store. I don't think I've ever seen a Titanium package hacked at the store. Those Titanium packs are a pain to open. I also don't like how the hook on the Titaniums are so weak. They are constantly falling of the pegs and they get worn out to the point where it doesn't hang anymore. Also, I like how easy it is to swing the figure packages as they hang on the pegs in order to hunt for whichever one I am looking for. The roundness to the top and bubble helps with this. The photo or name of the item needs to be on the bottom corner of the package to make it easy to spot your favorite as you fan through a row of figures. I don't know why I am going off about packaging. I suppose it's one of my pet peeves. One other thing, I noticed the figures at Wal-mart went up about $1. WTF! Now Target is the lowest price around. At least I hope that they will not raise their price also.

Mari-ja, welcome to Macrossworld. If you are looking for more fan support you have come to the right place. However, the language barrier is going to be problem. If you could get some help from an English speaking friend, then I think you will find it much easier to get the support that you are looking for. The online translator programs are not very good I am sad to say. From what I have read from fellow MWers, who have been kind enough to translate, you are looking to gather signatures to show Kawamori that there is a large group of fans who want to see a new Macross story about the original characters. Something about Minmay meeting Fire Bomber(from your T-shirt on the photo). Do you have a website for fans to add their signature and comments? This is, IMO, the best English website about Macross, and you will find the most help here for what you are trying to accomplish. Good luck.

I won't be able to take any pics until I get home this evening. However, here is the link to the rebelsum.com review. In any case, the photos from rebelscum.com are way better than any I would take at home. One thing to note that is not on the rebelscum review is that the solar panels are plastic, not die-cast metal. The top solar panel is hinged. I think to be able to fit it in the standard titanium packaging. http://www.rebelscum.com/SW08TStiedefender.asp

Forbidden planet is such a good movie even to this day. I remember watching it the first time on TV as a kid because I was bored. I was expecting it to be kind of boring, but I soon realized what a great piece of cinema it is. This is definitely a must see for anyone remotely interested in sci-fi. I think it will continue to stand the test of time. The mark of a truly great piece of work. I've been meaning to pick up the super collectors edition that comes in a metal tin. I would go see whatever it is that they are making now, but I wouldn't neccesarily link it to the original. I'll just try to enjoy it on it's own merits if it's any good.
-
Just to be sure, you're talking about the tri-solar panel one? If so, it's been out. I picked one up late last year. I can post picks tomorrow as I'm about to go to sleep at the moment. The interesting thing about this Titanium is that it came with a special stand that attaches to the rear of the vehicle rather than the bottom.

Here's a pic of Wave 6 for The Legacy Collection We have Capt. Needa, Medical Frigate Luke (w/ prosthetic hand), Emperor Palpatine, Ugnaughts, Hoth Rebel Trooper, Medical Frigate Princess Leia. They are finally putting out better Luke and Leia likenesses IMO. Remember the bad old days of bad Lukes and absolutely hideous Leias. I also have a pic of the new Snow Trooper which is supposed to be showing up in stores right now although I haven't seen any yet. I found this cool Navy SEAL dune buggy at Target. Some sort of a new line of toys officially endorsed by the military. My box had "Officially Authorized by the US Navy" They also had figures for the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines. The figures looked OK, but the head sculpt left much to be desired. I was just looking for something for my GI-Joes. I was going to by the Elite Operations one from Big Lots, but this one seemed much nicer. I paid $14.99, or at least that's what the little sticker on the shelf read. You see, the check-out clerk couldn't get it to ring up. She asked me what the price was, and I told her what the sticker had on it. I assume it's correct. The thing is the figures were around $8, so now I am second guessing myself. Freedom Ops Netowrk http://www.freedomopsnet.com/#/Home Some nice details are that the tires are rubber and the rope on the front is actual string. It didn't come with any instructions, but I've seen photos of the real thing and the website has detail as well. I wish there was a way to secure the bullet belt to the front canon. The strapping just lays in loosely. The ammo box needs to have some sort of a peg to secure it as well. Ditto for the gas cans and other ammo box. The rear machine gun fits in so tightly that you cannot rotate from left to right. You can only rotate up and down. The other guns fit snugly yet can rotate freely. The paint job seems nice. There is weathering on just about everything including the seats and guns. The Joes I put in seem to fit reasonably well considering it is not designed for the Joes. The actual figures for this toy line seem a bit too large IMO. Overall it is a very nice toy for the price. I wonder how it compares to the BBI Elite Forces or other higher end SEAL dune buggy toys?
