I've seen this more often with GI-Joe toys. People call it repacking. On hisstank.com there was a thread with people sending in pictures of repacked stuff in the store. The thing that made it easy for GI-Joes is that there were cheaper versions of many figures sold at discount stores like Dollar General, etc. Or, they would get some other cheap military figures and swap it. I've seen this done to vehicles as well. It really frustrates me because most stores will simply leave it on the shelves even when your bring it to their attention. The other sad things is some unsuspecting buyer may buy it not knowing the difference. Say a parent comes in to buy the toy as a gift. Can you imagine the look on their kids face when they get the faux GI-Joe.

There's a blurb about the Robotech movie among other things. http://www.reelzchannel.com/trailer-clips/...-goes-hollywood

If the WAVE SDF-1 is any indication of how the Yamato one will transform it probably won't have any auto transformation features. I only transformed my WAVE once, but I recall being a bit surprised that it wasn't as straight forward as I expected it to be. I think light up features would be a nice touch. Ditto for a small city scene in the leg. I can see it now in my display area with the room lights dimmed and the SDF-1 light up in all its glory. A few things come to mind. It would be cool to have the observation area in DYRL where Hikaru convinces Minmay to sing at the end. Where exactly was this area on the SDF-1? If they are to include tiny valks, why not have a couple in the launch arms ready to deploy as in the opening sequence. It would also be neat to have tiny armored panels that can cover over the large windows as it did when under attack? Maybe that's to tiny a feature to faithfully recreate, but it would be nice.

Well, can we at least give credit to the fans on Macrossworld for creating the Internet?

The Aim for the Top! Gunbuster Thread v2.0
sharky replied to Noriko Takaya's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I was adding some Macross ringtones to my phone when I realized I had no love for Gunbuster on my phone. I thought I would share. Keep in mind my old RAZR only has mono sound, and I compressed them to a decent size for said RAZR. However, I did add in a stereo version of one of them to be nice. Gunbustaaaaaaa! gunbustaaa.mp3 The combined Gunbuster isn't just an ordinary machine....Coach's...Coach's...Coach's heart is right here! Gbuster_fly_high_mono.mp3 Gbuster_fly_high.mp3 -

I dunno, it looks pretty bright in this video. http://www.bttf.net/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=21011 It was originally announced that the flying BTTF II car would be an exclusive to someplace, but they didn't say where. Now I know it's an Entertainment Earth exclusive and I will be ordering it from them. I've seen BigBadToyStore with the original version, but I don't believe it's an exclusive to any one place. I'll bet Toys R Us will have them on the shelves since they sell Diamond Select stuff now. I was hoping that Diamond Select would do some 1:18 action figures to go with the car, but I heard that there are some licensing issues with using the actors' likeness. That's why they were only able to do the Kubrick style Minimates figures.

And that's supposed to be a bad thing? Would you rather she not put out?

I suppose Kawamori never created a Macross bible of sorts as a guide to follow when writing stories about the Macross universe. Isn't there a Star Trek bible that writers use as a reference when writing Star Trek stories? Sounds like Macross would benefit from this sort of writing aid.

Yeah, that little scene had me intrigued. It's like she was motioning to Sierra not to acknowledge each other in passing because people were watching. But, they are supposed to be in their neutral state or whatever you call it.

Should I read the Watchmen before seeing the movie?
sharky replied to David Hingtgen's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I am optimistic about the Watchmen movie because Zack Snyder is involved. He tried very hard to stay faithful to the graphic novel for 300. It was important for him to get it right. This was based on the interviews I had watched from the 300 DVD extras. I believe he will bring this same effort to Watchmen. -
I think it's funny how they make it look extra lame so that they won't get sued or anything. BTW freaking hilarious clip.

She can be for a hefty price.

Should I read the Watchmen before seeing the movie?
sharky replied to David Hingtgen's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
My take on it is that I will probably enjoy the movie more having not read the book. I think if I read the book first I will be disappointed in whatever parts that get left out of the movie. I'm pretty optimistic that the movie will be great judging by how 300 turned out. I plan to read the graphic novel to enhance what I saw on the big screen. -
Check out this guy selling off his entire collection of many things, mostly Transformers. All for the low low price of $220,000 Maybe he wants to pay of his house. http://cgi.ebay.com/Biggest-Transformers-A...%3A1|240%3A1318

Of course, as usual, now that I had a change of heart and want to get an F-22 they are nowhere to be found. When I did not care to have one I always, always, saw plenty on the shelves.

There's that small die-cast "Titanium" flying wing from The Raiders of the Lost Ark. I found one at a Toys R Us. It's cool, but very small. There's also the Lego version of said flying wing that is a decent size. We will begin construction of a new display case. We will work day and night. Start right now. An obscure quote from an old Mecha Kong movie. I replaced "Mecha Kong" with "display case." Seriously though, it will be nice to have a special display cabinet for this thing. I'm thinking special cases for traditional model ships will work great, but the cases I've been looking at can be around $200 by itself.

Well, you can go old school and try to find the Banpresto 1/6 PVC figure of Hikaru in TV flight suit.

Toys R Us is having a free shipping when you buy over $20 worth of select action figures. Various Star Wars, GI-Joe, and Transformers among other things. Not a bad deal if you are having trouble finding certain things in the stores. http://www.toysrus.com/search/index.jsp?sr...022209&pg=1

I think the arguments about the loli nature of micro Klan has been put to rest by Save's pics. Scroll about halfway through the gallery and you will see what I mean. http://otaku2.com/articleView.php?item=281 That's all I have to say about that - Forrest Gump

You know something, I think you're right. They could have toned it down a bit on the boobage, and it would be perfect. I don't know how I'm going to explain this figure to my wife. Maybe she won't be mad if I can put a little doll sweater on her or something.
