I can see how it's easy to miss it. It's not like there's a big giant link on the main page or anything directing people to the review.
-
Actually, it was the Macross Gods telling you to order the large SDF-1 instead.
-
Ugh, I think I probably made a bad judgement call. I should have used my money to get this instead of changing plans and getting some other things. And, according to HLJ, the "low stock" means that if they continue to sell at their current pace they will sell out within a week.

I noticed hlj.com has a Macross Frontier sale going on. Macross Quarter is 50% off again. Yay!
-
It's too bad you're in Canada because K-mart had the AT-AT on sale for $50 just before Thanksgiving. You may be able to find it on clearance now that X-mas has past. What??!!! My whole world is crashing down around me. Next, you're gonna tell me that the pilot for a VF-1 doesn't sit in the head in battroid mode.

Sounds like you should be more pissed at the Canadian govt than with the carriers. It sucks any way you slice it though.

One thing working in your favor to wait is that the 1/3000 SDF-1 is a relatively high priced item. The higher priced items tend to hang around longer than something that is more moderate in price. However, it is something that a lot of people have been hoping and waiting for, so you never know. Then again, some people may prefer a TV version, so they may decide to wait and not decide to buy the DRYL version. It also depends on how many Yamato actually produced. My gut tells me that it may be worth while to wait and see if there is any kind of sale. I was planning on getting the 1/3000 SDF-1 as I had it on pre-order. But, then I saw the Macross Quarter go on sale for 50% off and 50% off shipping. It was too good of a deal to pass up as it was something I had wanted since it first came out. On the one hand I'm glad I got it on sale because I see that the sale is over and it's back up to regular pricing. On the other hand I don't have enough money in the budget to get the 1/3000 SDF-1. I'm gambling that it will be available at the time I save up enough money again.

I see that HLJ.com has the green (in stock) dot. So, anyone get a shipping notice yet?

Here's a link where you can get Vol. 007. I like this site because you can do economy mail. It takes longer, but it's cheaper. And, I'm cheap. http://www.nippon-export.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=28878

Have I missed something? Should Vol. 7 be out soon?
-
Ditto. I may come to regret it, but I pulled the trigger on the Macross Quarter because it was 50% off. With any luck I'll be able to save back up the money I spent on the Quarter and the money I will spend on the upcoming Blade Runner Spinner toy and buy the SDF-1 in January.

Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series
sharky replied to BoBe-Patt's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Yeah it would have. The latest episode with Ashoka was a bit better, but I agree that they seem to have gotten into a dull spot. Also, I am becoming more impressed with Ashoka as a character. I started out not liking her at all when she debuted in the movie, but lately I have changed my tune about her. She's actually pretty cool. Also, I've noticed that Anakin's personality seems to be rubbing off on Ashoka. I noticed in a previous episode she seemed to kind of enjoy taking out the super battle droids with a smirk on her face. I thought a Jedi was supposed to keep their emotions in check and not let anger and fear get the better of them. They seriously need to up the ante and get things back on track.- 1217 replies

Toy-wise, I would say my SOC Gunbuster. In a few months it's gonna be the 1/3000 scale SDF-1. My most prized book is the Macross Gold Book.

Macross Frontier Movie 2 thread - Now available on Blu-ray/DVD
sharky replied to Tochiro's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
You are no longer allowed to post here. Just kidding. The movie is a re-telling of the series. Movie 1 covers some of the story. Movie 2 cover the rest of the series and takes you a little further beyond. At least that is what I read from others here. -

So, anyone know what the Super Valk was all about on the teaser at the end of the Movie 1 Blu-ray? This one: -
<<<<<<<<<<<Um, in case anyone was wondering I really liked Sheryl's opening concert.

Yay! My copy of Vol. 006 just came today. It took just under 2 weeks SAL. Not too shabby.

It doesn't really help you, but the cleanest version of DYRL I've ever seen is the Perfect Edition laserdisc. Not sure what it would look like transfered to be viewed on computer.
-
Well wouldn't you if given the chance?

Macross F Super Live: Christmas Without You

OK, I am officially jealous of those that will get to go. -
Meh, I'm just gonna keep staring at Ladic's avatar.

What?! You didn't like the clone Ripley making sweet sweet love to the alien and spawning a freakishly weird (even by alien standards) alien human hybrid that only wanted the love and approval of it's parents?

At least he was trying to talk to you to have a conversation. Everytime I'm in Shanghai the only people that want to talk to me in English are the ones trying to sell me crap. LOL!

Pawn shops can never offer what the item is worth because they need to sell it for what it's worth. If they paid the guy his asking price they wouldn't make any money when they try to sell it later. It's a pretty simple concept people.

Did you ever find out? My brother's ex was able to get on as an extra. I think there is a scene with a bunch of protesters. I was told that she was holding a Mexican flag and shouting.
