What crap! They don't even transform! Ha ha! Actually, I was at the edge of my seat hoping it would take off. This is pure awesomeness. Kind of felt like a kid again watching the video.

A long time ago I decided I was going to enjoy my 1/48 Valk. Yellowing be damned. I've had it on display in my Detolf for years. I did make a point of placing my case in a corner away from direct sunlight. Still over time I have recently started to see some yellowing. I think I'm going to do this treatment and retire it back into its box and keep it in my closet. I think I'll just place some more common toys in my case from now on. I've sort had a change of heart regarding displaying my favorite toys.

My copy of the ADV release has copyright 2006. This particular interview is on Vol 1. Disc 1. There's also a couple of other Mari interviews on Vol 2. Disc 3 & 4 Good god I can listen to her talk all day.

That's weird. I selected USD and I was able to do Pay Later. I did only preorder 1, however. Now I'm debating if I should sell my prior VF-1S hi metal or just keep it. If I'm going to sell it I should do it now and not wait.

The preorders are sold out. Availability is expected come release day judging by what happened with the VF-1J. Check back often. The good people of MW will let you know.

I just canceled my pre-order with HLJ. I have 2 other high priced toys on pre-order at other websites. For the price I'd much rather have those other toys. If I save up some more money, I might reconsider picking it up if it's still available, but I'm not going to worry about it if I don't have the funds or if it's sold out.

Great episode, but Morgan is an f'ing idiot that is going to get them all killed. I'm starting to really dislike him even though I think he's a really good character in the show.

As more pics come out I keep flip flopping back and forth trying decide to keep or cancel my pre-order. I keep thinking about what else I could get with the same amount of money. I've sold stuff on ebay anticipating this release. So I have this money sitting in my PayPal account.

Overall I really enjoyed this movie. It will be in my collection when it comes out on blu-ray. I did have to get past some of the, IMHO, illogical plot devices, but generally a great movie that I would like to see again.

What about the Hi-Metal R version? Won't it be the same scale as prior Bandai and the Yamato releases? They're all 1/100 scale, right? Will the HMR version be the same MSRP as prior releases? I know the OP wants something soon as an X-mas gift, but I wonder how it will compare. Will the prior Bandai release still be superior? Wasn't the original SDF-M version a non-transforming destriod monster? Is that what the HMR version will be?

I know parts-forming is seen as a huge crime against humanity around here, but for the record I've never had a problem with it, especially if it solves major issues with the aesthetics or improves durability vs an intricate and delicate mechanism.It's been a while since I've reviewed or watched the VF-2SS transform in the anime. People are saying it uses extensive anime magic to transform, which to me translates to requiring parts-forming in a real toy.
