Awwwww! Yeahhhhh! Also, my backpack on the VF-1J doesn't fall back, but it doesn't lock in either. I can tell that over time if I keep transforming it will eventually be loose.
  2. That sucker's electical, but you need a nuclear reaction to generate the 1.21 gigawatts of electricity that it needs.
  3. You da man! Thanks!I like to think of myself as more of an idea-man and not so much an implementer.
  4. What the heck is a veritech? Just kidding.
  5. Doesn't change the fact that the name does sound kind of lame though. I've been checking out reviews on the Takasa Tony stuff. They're pretty good actually and way cheaper in price. I just can't get into another toy line as I'm spread too thin as it is. I'd break my toy budget even at these lower prices.

    Bandai 1/35 DX VF-1

No doubt. And we'll be lucky if it does sell well for those reasons. I don't know about any of you guys, but I'm going to be hard pressed to keep up next year with what's in the pipeline based on the Tamashii Nations preview. Not even considering what Arcadia has in store for us and the Evolution Toy VF-2SS with SAP. I'm already assuming the 1/35 VF-1J and the 1/1800 SDF-1 will be out of my reach if I want to collect DX Delta toys, HMR, SH Figurearts, and an Aracdia release or 2.
  7. My guess is that some funny business is going on at the manufacturer in China. They had to have gotten their hands on the CAD files, but they also probably have access to the paint specifications, tampo print artwork files, specs. on the masking fixtures for the paint, box art, etc.
  8. I do find very large ships that are not symetrical to be kind of interesting personally. To me it seems more realistic. Such large ships would probably be built over a long period of time and perhaps even retro-fitted over the years for various reasons.
  9. LOL! For the price I think it's worth it. Once you put this baby in your display shelf/case you won't regret it. If anything you'll regret not picking it up after it eventually is discontinued.

    Bandai 1/35 DX VF-1

I'm wondering if this will be a 1 off toy kind of thing and they wouldn't milk the molds and do a VF-1S? Maybe done as some kind of limited exclusive. I just don't see them making something like this in mass quantities and multiple versions.

I'm betting they are plastic, not diecast.

What, no Glaug, Regult, Nousjadeul-Ger, Queadluun-Rau, or Destriod Monsters for you? There's always something. Edit: What about the launch arm stand? Edit again: Oh, you did specifically say VF-1. If you already have a bunch of other releases I can see how you wouldn't want an HMR one. I'm really only interested in the VF-1 for the scale compatibility with the enemies and the launch arm if that ever gets released.
  13. If the music part of the series turns out not that great, I'm sure it would not be through the lack of effort and intent. I personally don't feel I need a break from Kanno.
  14. Sigh, my enthusiasm just went down a notch. I have to admit that my interest in Frontier would have been way lower if not for the quality of her music in the series and movies. I'm staying optomistic that they'll do right by the music in Delta.
  15. Is Yoko Kanno going to write the songs for Delta?
  16. We really need a version of this .gif with the SDF-1 firing at a wallet.

I'm wondering if it will simply be a toy version of their model kit. By that, I mean using the same transformation design, but beefing up the plastic and adding metal joints in key places.
  18. Maybe it was a miscomunication. "What? Tabs? Yes, we'll have tabs? Don't worry." "Hey, the customers are asking about tabs. Better make 'em extra big."
  19. I'm sure she sounds good. This is Macross we're talking about it here. It's important.
  20. Did they take that photo out of her school yearbook or something? LOL!
  21. Seriously, would it have killed them to go to 1/5000 scale to at least match the Wave DYRL version. We're only talking around 4cm longer. It wouldn't have affected the price that much. But, honestly, I remember having the Wave 1/5000 on display in my Detolf. It was decently sized. I was always happy with it, but I sold it when I got the Yamato. It's not a holy grail sdf-1, but it seems nice and worth having in a Macross collection. It's not huge, but I dont feel it's too small either.
  22. At 32,000 yen it has to be the VF-2SS plus the SAP together.
  23. The Wave SDF-1 is only a little larger at 24cm (1/5000) but it was around $120USD IIRC. The Megahouse version is looking to be around $50. And, it's the TV version. Not bad IMO. Assuming the TV and DYRL versions are exactly the same size at the same scale then at 20cm this is looking to be a 1/6000 scale ship. Anybody want to check me and confirm?
  24. Why do I get the feeling there will be a renewel version with design improvements much like the Bandai VF-25. Depending on the reviews I may consider the SAP version down the road.
  25. The green and blue sections look like the legs to me and each foot makes up half of the single exhaust nozzle. I'm thinking one half of the nozzle swings left and the other swings right to become the feet.I'm wondering if it's single engine than perhaps the main body/torso will be engine in the back and cockpit parts in front. The engine exhaust will point down for hovering and thrust in batroid mode. This is looking like it will be a really cool looking batroid.
