i agree with him. katakana is not always pronounced how it is spelled. i've watched macross in japanase and they called him bri-tai, not bu-ri-tai.

breetai in english and britai in japanese has the EXACT same pronunciation. but the english speakin' person would mispronunciation britai so it is actually smart for hg to change the spellin'. and i was thinkin', "wait, breetai was in macross" until i saw britai and i was like, "oOo yea, I equals EE in japanese". back on toic, bring back the flower girl. this time she is stalkin' the soda vendin' machine from sdf macross... tryin to give the soda vendin' machine her bouquet of flowers.

yea, that's what i mean, just the basic definition. take a druid for example. i can go into cat form and play as a rogue... but a rogue can do rogue "things" better so i'd rather play as a rogue. i can go into bear form and play as a warrior... but a warrior can do warrior "things" better so i'd rather play as a warrior. i'm really not feelin' my warrior by the way, i'd rather play as a rogue, hunter (my first ever wow toon) or a mage (mage is hard but i finally gotten the hang of stayin' alive). i can stay in human form and play as a spell caster. but a mage has more spells in their arsenal so i'd rather play as a mage. so i play my druid as a HYBRID. i'll start as a spellcaster (starfire, a couple of wraths, entangling roots, back up, a couple more wraths, then change into cat form and finish them off... i might go into bear form first just to stun them and then i go into into cat form to finish them off. this is pve tho', i still sux at pvp). don't take it wrong, i like a playin' a druid. i didn't hate it like i thought i would. but a mage just has more long distance spells (i don't spam moonfire over and over like noobs). i seems that blizzard made warlock, paladin and shaman hybrids more powerful than a druid hybrid (i've read the warcraft lore and it seems like druids should be more powerful).

but that is also one of the strengths of an ova vs. a tv series. an ova may not be as popular as a tv series BUT... an ova can target a certain segment of the population and still be profitable (as long as enough of the fans that are targeted go out and buy it)... while a tv series needs to target a larger and more mainstream audience for it to be successful/popular/keep sponsors & advertisers, ect. so an ova will always have a big divide. either it was targeted towards you and you will like it or it it wasn't targeted toward you and you will not like.

i agree. i didn't like macross plus. two test pilots competin' so that their design wins the contract is not macross to me. i was goin' to say that they borrowed from ghost in the shell's plot (the singer is really A.I.) but then i read that ghost in the shell (the movie) came after macross plus (no comment on the manga, i don't feel like googlin' to see which one came first).

yes, a warlock is a mage and hunter hybrid. mage = fights with spells warlock = fights with spells hunter = can tame pets and have them fight by their side warlock = can summon demons (pets) and have them fight by their side i'm am NOT callin' a warlock weak by callin' him a mage/hunter hybrid (they own my rogue all the time), i'm just callin' it how i see it. so a warlock is a hybrid of a mage and hunter 'cause blizzard likes hybrids. they already have paladins (a priest and warrior hybrid), druids (a priest, warrior, mage and rogue hybrid) and a shaman (fill in the blank, shamans don't interest me but priest and warlocks do, i've already learned how to play every other class.) so i'll say it a third time, a warlock is just a mage/hunter and i already have a mage toon and two hunter toons.

ok, let me rephrase that. i'd rather do kara than black temple. i'd even rather do tempest keep the eye over black temple. i guess black temple lost its charm for me after i was in a raid with no healers (don't ask why, bt was the first raid i ever did, i was still noobish back then and i only joined the group, i didn't create the raid group), i died, i released my spirit, my spirit spawns in the mountains which has no path out, the spirit healer disappears and i had to make a ticket and wait for a gm to rez me (i no longer go to bt w/o a priest in the group. pallies don't count 'cause their quest for rez power is bugged and they only get the spell if they open a tix and wait for a gm to give it to them.) lol, the joys and pains of private servers, things that y'all playin' on the retail server NEVER have to worry about.

i'm not exactly bored. i just didn't feel like farmin' for gear. i tried a raid but i got owned. farmin' for gear is borin' to me, i'd rather level a new toon. i'm supposed to create two new mages so that i can see if i like fire or ice better. my mage is arcane/fire/frost spec and yes i know my build suxs but i like my build and i refuse to change it (that's why i need to make 2 new separate mages that are arcane/fire and arcane/frost.) i just got tired of havin' noobs in the game and on the forum flame me all the time for my spec. my ignore list will only hold so many noobs. i may start my own guild or switch to another gm's guild. i'm in the admin's guild and most of the ppl in that guild are in it 'cause it's the official admin/gm guild (i'm not a gm, i'm just a forum mod for the admin) and they are in it for "special priviledges" and things like that.. they also mainly pvp, they don't raid. i sux at pvp and i'd rather start a raid (kara is fun but it sure is hard.) but somedays i'll be broadcastin' in lfg chat tryin' to get a raid started for like a couple of hours. yea, ppl tell me to use my guild for raids but they don't raid like i said earlier. so i just went back playin' my ps2 and to actually doin' my mod job (he has a wow forum and a music forum... and i mod the forum forum... and i hadn't logged into the music forum in weeks 'cause i was busy playin wow.) i'm tempted to to make a lock. but i have 4 n.e.'s and 4 b.e.'s... so makin' a n.e. priest, a b.e. priest and a b.e. lock will throw off my even sided faction (another reason why i haven't made two new b.e. mages yet.) plus, i heard that lock's pets are still bugged on the private server, hunter pets are bugged too... but that is pretty much any private serer that you go to since they all use the same emulation software. plus, goin' to retail and havin' all 8 of my toons (i refuse to give up any of my toons except for my n.e. warrior) would take away from free time that i need to use for makin' beats instead. so i am currently anti-blizzard/retail. it's either sell beats for money or pay blizzard to play games, not a hard choice to make right now.

actually, i like the ghost in the shell movie, i didn't like innocence. what i should have said was that the anime that i thought were really good when i first saw them... is now just ok anime now that i've seen other anime like sdf macross, full metal panic, the first 10-15 episodes of death note, megazone 23, the first half of neon genesis evangelion (it's good but it's too depressin' for me to watch over and over like macross and fmp)... i just rate them lower since i've seen some other shows and movies that are so much better than them. but i have no plans to sell my akira, ghost in the shell and two ninja scrolls dvds (even tho' the widescreen ninja scroll dvd was a rip off i'm still goin' to keep it, at least it has 6.1 audio while the non-widescreen is only 5.1 audio.) now akira is a different subject, i may read the manga. but so far, i've started on bleach and naruto manga and i'm just not into readin' manga. readin' manga on the pc screen just didn't get me into it... like how readin' the x-men comics use to do to me back in the day. what i really want is an akira anime series. i'll keep akira and ghost in the shell manga on my list tho'. i just wasn't feelin' bgc, but i thought it was really good when i saw ep. 1 ten years earlier. but i did keep it. i wasn't that bad to where i purposely didn't save it onto dvd-r like a did with ninja scroll the tv series. bgc was the first anime that i rented and got me into anime. akira, ghost in the shell, vampire hunter d, ninja scroll, tenchi muyo on cartoon network, wrath of the ninja and poltergeist report came next after a 3-5 year gap (i hadn't had a chance to rent the next chapter in bgc or rent any other anime for a couple of years). robotech, speed racer and voltron were the original series but i don't count them 'cause i didn't know they were anime when i first saw them. so there was no way that i could have deleted bgc.

ok, i've been busy torrentin' some music that costs like $70 used on ebay and amazon so i haven't had a chance to dl it yet or play any online games (my torrent client slows down my internet connection for anything else.) i'm dlin' it now.

sorry but i didn't like macross 7. all that i am sayin' that that things that the japanese think are GOOD shows are seen as AWFUL in the u.s. macross 7 is the example for that. and things that americans think are GOOD shows are seen as AWFUL in japan. ghost in the shell (i own this on dvd and i think it is an OK movie, i used to think it was REAL GOOD), akira (i own this on dvd and i think it is an OK movie, i used to think it was REAL GOOD) and bubblegum crisis (i agree with the japanese on this one, it is not as great as ppl say it is) are examples of these. so i won't defend m7 or the music anymore 'cause i really don't like either one (sorry, i can't listen to j-pop, c-pop, v-pop, k-pop, t-pop...) it was ok, i've seen better anime. tho' (watchin' macross 7 is likin' bleach and naruto filler... i'll never watch it a 2nd time.) i can't defend m7, i have the same viewpoints on why m7 is not good anime. see my previous paragraph and posts on why m7 was popular in japan. i still believe that m7 was targeted towards kids and the kids shows that i watch growin' up sux to me now. but to a kid's point of view, they were good shows. even kid's shows get canceled, kids will not watch a show targeted towards them if they think it suxs. so i'm puttin' macross 7 in the same category as pokemon, transformers, g.i. joe, power rangers, ninja turtles, voltron, speed racer, he-man, silverhawks, thundercats... they are meant to be viewed by kids and anybody over a certain age will think that they sux (alot of cartoons have been canceled when they tried to make them too "complex and other things like that" as if they were an adult tv series. i won't name the cartoons that were canceled 'cause of this, i actually liked them and watched them before they got canceled.) i hated macross 7 and i liked dynamite 7. in terms of anime, i can recommend mdynamite 7, mplus, mzero... in terms of macross, i would recommend that ppl NOT watch mplus, mzero, m7, mii... all watched all of macross 7 and there were only 1-2 episodes that i thought were ok. yea, they shouldn't have stopped with the original. all of the macross sequels were targeted to a different segment of the population imho.

that's true. macross 7 was a smash hit in japan while it is hated in the u.s. this happens all the time. bubblegum crisis was a failure in japan and it got canceled. it was supposed to run 13 epsiodes (i believe) and not 8. i still have bgc on dvd-r even tho' i thought that it was borin' (i thought it was REALLY good when i first watched ep. 1 ten years earlier tho'...) other hits in the u.s. like akira and ghost in the shell have been failures in japan. the ghost on the shell sequels don't even carry the ghost in the shell name in japan 'cause of the movies box office failure, they are simply called "innocence" and "stand alone complex." that is not true. if you don't like j-pop then you will not like the music in macross 7. the nihonjin (japanese) probably say the same thing about american music. turn on mtv or b.e.t., trl and 106 & park play the same videos day after day but those shows haven't been canceled. and people still call in and request the same videos over and over. SOOOO, if you like the music in macross 7 than the music won't seem "overused" to you. instead of turnin' on mtv japan in order to watch the same video over and over, you can watch the latest episode of macross 7 and hear the exact same song. but it's not like watchin' the same video over and over on mtv japan 'cause there are new scenes to see (excludin' the reused scenes that they used over and over). so you can have 40+ videos for the same song. truthfully, that is pretty smart. the band that played that song did sell alot of singles in japan 'cause of macross 7 (singles are more popular in japan than album sales. it is the exact opposite of the u.s. preferrin' albums over singles, excludin' itunes and p2p.) yea, macross 7 needed to bring in new fans. these new fans would be needed to make macross zero and macross frontier successful. and if you think macross 7 is bad, at least watch macross dynamite 7 (the ova series.) it has a more serious tone than the tv series. and in regards to anime, it is actually a good ova (no comment on how good it is for a macross sequel, i can talk about flaws in every macross sequel but i can find positives in the sequels in regards to anime). i would watch macross dynamite 7 again but i can't say the same thing for the tv series (all watch all 52 episodes and the movie.)

thanks. i've been through all the links and it's still the same thing, no matter what i do it doesn't offer any keys for the free play. i tried ff and ie and it's still the same thing. 1. clickin' on the "free to player" banner just makes the page refresh instead of givin' me a key. 2. clickin' on the "need a rf key online key" takes me back to 3. i can't complete registration/subscription 'cause i don't have a key (not sure if that is needed but i've tried every link.) 4. and clickin on or typin' in "rf-onlinegame.com/freetoplay.php" just takes me back to the most frustratin' experience tryin' to get my free key to play the game, dlin' the game is ez.

i don't think macross 7 was bad, it just wasn't my type of anime. i've read that macross 7 was a success in japan and i'm pretty sure that the creators of macross 7 doesn't care if non-japanese (gaijin) ppl like or hate macross 7. what i want to know is WHO liked macross 7 in japan. i can see the teens/adults likin' the music of macross 7 'cause i am no stranger to j-pop music. but i can't picture them actually likin' the show outside of the music. and i haven't seen what age range macross 7 was popular with... was it with the same audience as pokemon (kodomo, little kids), pre-teens to adults ( shounen & shoujo, naruto, bleach and maybe death note) or teens to adults (seinen & josei, ninja scroll, akira, ghost in the shell and maybe death note?).

the free download is not on their website anymore. it keeps misdirectin' me back to the same page over and over. then, a link takes me to filefront but you have to be a payin' member to dl the game and get a serial number. but i found a free website to dl the client and patches. so i then try to sign up for a rf account on their website but it keeps askin' me for a serial number. the sign up/account is handled by cog codemasters and i've been everywhere on their cog codemaster's website, the codemaster's website, rf online's website and filefront's website lookin' for the free 30 day trial serial. so i canceled my dl 'cause it makes no sense to dl it if i can't even get a free trial serial. so my question is STILL why the f**k does rf online says free to play when it doesn't even exist?!? it either misdirects me to the same rf index page over and over or it takes me to a third party website that tells me that i have to BUY the game. sorry but shiet like that only drives ppl away from the game. why the h*ll will i pay $15 for a subscription and serial for a game that i have never played? at least wow has a workin' free 15 day trial for their mmorpg so that i can see how the game's graphics look, if the game will work on my pc or not and if i like the game or not. my impression of rf online is that it is buggy like a motherf***er and that it isn't even worth playin'. if i can't even receive their free advertised game play serial then i can only imagine how terrible the actually game play is. i expect the official game to have WORKED THE BUGS out of their system, website and game. private servers are expected to be buggy like a motherf***er and anybody who doesn't like the bugs should go play the official game.

i haven't even bothered to vote so the percentages will not be accurate. the macross sequels are good anime (i've seen some bad sequels like the ninja scroll tv series). it's just that they didn't have the same "feel" as sdf macross. sdf macross = sdf macross sdf macross dryl = sdf macross macross plus = ghost in the shell (a.i.) macross zero = ninja scroll (supernaturally enemies) macross 7 = ??? (i'll say pokemon 'cause it seems kiddie like to me, but i've never watched the pokemon series...) macross frontier = is it finally back to sdf macross?!? i hope so

why the f**k does rf online say "FREE to PLAY" but there is NO WAY to play it for free. i've signed up on 3-5 websites tryin' to get my "free" play but nothin' works. i thought rf online was goin' to be a tite game but so far it suxs. at least wow has a WORKIN' free game trial for ppl to play. i google for private servers and it seems that rf online has been hacked, i found 300 private servers for rf online. but i won't even bother tryin' them. it probably end up like silkroad online, conquer online and 5-8 other mmorpg's that won't work on my pc (i need to upgrade my pc, silkroad and conquer used to work before i had to install an older backup motherboard of mine). but for some strange reason, wow works (and so does cs 1.6, i haven't bothered to install sims to see if it will work) and the other mmorpgs have lower quality graphics (heroes or martial heroes work, i can't remember which one works, but i can't access my silkroad and conquer online accounts) than wow.

i agree. everything should remain the same exact for the actual animation. and even the animation should just be COPIES of the original, no new scenes, no additional people or vehicles or anything else that they like to do with remakes. if i was to watch sdf macross and sdf macross: remake it should look EXACTLY ALIKE. the only difference should be the quality of the animation. yes, i prefer the transformers the movie (1986) over the new transformers movie. first off, the transformers were UGLY, they should have let the japanese design them, not americans (i wasn't feelin' their humanoid/muscular bodies). i won't even start on plot weaknesses like cybertron bein' destroyed and the story focusin' on the humans not the transformers...

lol. yea, some private servers are too easy. i used to 2 man kara with my rogue cause the custom t8 armor, swords and bows (plus a rogue's head enchant) gave rogues 93% dodge. i would just stand there and tank all the bosses with my rogue. i think he got rid of the 95% dodge for rogues 'cause all the other classes complained about rogues bein' impossible to beat in pvp. he also got rid of haste 'cause hunters, mages and warlocks had spells (like a mage's pyroblast with its 6-8 sec cast time, been awhile since i played my mage) with 0.25-3 sec cast time 'cause off the 500+ haste that the armor/weapons gave them. i sux at pvp. i play on the blizzlike server and even that server is too ez. 6 toons at level 70 and strangers would say i had no life 'cause i had so many toons at level 70. yea, right, i could hit 70 in a day or two if i would stop doin' quests that gave me no exp. i want to get on retail but that would take alot of my free time. i should be workin' on my production/dj skills anyways. i may try retail one day once i get some equipment and i see how much free time i have for retail wow.
