  1. I would like to get the new YF-19 in a different color than what the original looked like. Something along the lines of the 1/48 Low Viz, a more realistic scheme. I also think that the YF-19 (along with it's similar incarnations) has the worst Gerwalk mode. It doesn't look very stable or technically functional with those wings hanging off the end and the arms set over them instead of under them. The armless Gerwalk mode however is more pleasing. Despite their flaws, I am happy with the YF-19 Yamato made. They were a one of a kind, and my first Macross Plus Valkyrie (that I never knew about).
  2. I've bought tons of things from NCS over the span of 5+ years and they are top quality service. Understand that NCS is mainly an import game shop. They don't take toys too seriously so sometimes you may get a tattered toy box, if you care about a very nice damage-free box like me then you'll have to communicate that to them so that you get a nice display piece as well. After seeing the increased prices at BBTS, NCS is the better deal for those in the U.S. Most of my toys from them arrived in very good quality with a box in okay shape, not perfect, but good enough. So order from them with confidence!
  3. So I take it, Macross II is out of the question?! I want my squadron of VF-2S/S.A.P.s and VF-2Js!!! What's wrong with Macross II?! It looks like Bandai isn't doing anything with it anymore (license-wise?), and a VF-2J seems open for exploration. Has there even been a VF-2J model or toy designed, ever? I really like most, if not all, of the designs in Macross II. Unless it is so old that Yamato doesn't think it's remotely profitable/popular enough to warrant any interest... Is there something that I'm missing here?
  4. I'm sure that BBTS had a pre-order price of $54.99 for the 1/48 FPs, and now they've raised it up to $64.99. That's a bit outrageous as NCS has the better deal on 1/48 FPs (only $49.00US!) and the two new VE-1/VT-1 (at $78.00US! each). NCS may not have the 1/48 FPs in stock now, but they're coming. S/H from NCS isn't too bad either, I paid about $11.00US S/H for UPS ground and I got them within 5 days (ordered Thursday, got it the following Monday). Overall I saved around $36.00US with NCS over BBTS and I got mines before BBTS got their stock in.
  5. I remember back in '84-'85, the Holiday stores in the U.S., were like "ALL-IN-ONE-MARTS" sort of like Walmart, but on a BIGGER scale. Besides selling groceries, they had clothing, electronics, and toys. I got an NES there, a portable walkman, and I saw plenty of NES games and Transformers. Now those places don't exist due to their lacking popularity or funds to run them. That would be a bit expensive to run an all in one mart.
  6. I've been wanting these two since I saw the Takatoku/Bandai ones on eBay way back then. Now that Yamato has made their versions, I am at least buying 3 of each of them. The bad thing is, is that Yamato is releasing them both simultaneously along with the 1/48 scale armor packs. I can't handle all this at once! I'll have to figure something out... 2xVT-1, 2xVE-1, 2-1/48 FPs or 1xVT-1, 1xVE-1, 3x1/48 FPs, etc. etc.
  7. The first time I ever knew about the Takatoku Macross Valkyries was back in 2001 when I started using eBay. I was floored by them, but couldn't afford it at the time. I quickly did some research and learned of their origins and existence. What brought me to them was my search for a Transformers G1 Jetfire. I had seen the Macross movie and the Strike Valkyrie was my most wanted so I eventually got one MIB complete and unused. I guess that would be my first most valuable next to the G1 Jetfire I got later, also MIB complete and unused. I got these two items off ebay so I am a bit appreciative for ebay and for finding these two items that I have. Now, they uh, just sit in their packaging tucked away in another box for safety.
  8. *UPDATE* 1/60 = 12 total (10->me, 2->sibling) 1/72 = 6 (all->me) 1/48 = 5 total (3->me, 2->sibling)
